Review Summary

Larry's comes across in reviews as a casual, hospitable spot with a warm vibe and a strong emphasis on sharing plates, from ceviche and beef tartare to veggie forward options and brunch staples, all set in a lively but not pretentious setting; the wine list is frequently highlighted as excellent and the service described as friendly and attentive by many, though a few visits note cold or slow service and portions that feel small for the price; many comments mention that gratuities are included in the prices, which some appreciate as reducing fuss while others worry about the impact on service, and a handful of patrons emphasize the high cost for modest portions; desserts like banoffee pie and a well regarded scone appear as standouts, while some dishes are praised for balance and flavor and others are seen as less remarkable; overall Larry's is regarded as a Montreal staple for brunch or lunch, a place to enjoy good food, good vibes, and solid hospitality, with crowds and pricing considerations to keep in mind.

Um, so I'm completely blown away by how casual & comfortable Larry's comes off being but at the same time the service is so attentive & warm, & the food (& even the coffee?!) is out of this world. Easily my best & favourite brunch in Montreal.

Espresso 1000 out of 10, as good as Osmo
Scone 1000 out of 10
Fries 1000 out of 10
Squash 1000 out of 10

Scrambled eggs with the bacon, it's important to have a bite of both together, 10 out of 10

Sausage 7 out of 10
Panzanella 8 out of 10

You should go & get taken care of by this team.

Place is very cute. But honestly the food was ok…Very pricey & tiny. I took the beef tartare & it was very blend (24$ for the smallest portion). & I took the scone too, & inside it wasn't properly cooked (11$ for 1 scone). But coffee was good.

I don't like scones & they have the best scone I've ever tasted in my life. Everything here is delicious, the vibe is comforting & the service is friendly! Food is made simply & with love. One of my favorite spots.

We had a lovely time at this restaurant. Friendly service, comfortable environment. Everything we ate was perfect. Best scones I have ever tasted. Ceviche & the squash were my favorites. My husband liked the fresh bread & sausages but also liked the liver pate. Very filling - We have been full all day! Well worth it. You cant go wrong when quality is the focus.
