I have been taking the weekly tiffin service (6 days a week, Monday off) & I'm very satisfied. The food is always fresh, homely, & delicious. The owner lady is very kind & polite, & she genuinely cares about quality & taste. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable & tasty home-style meals.
Souper sur place pour deux dimanche 20260215: Deux plats (poulet saag & byriani kheema d'agneau haché) délicieux, en trop petite quantité; le 3e plat Special Tiffin féculent & sa crêpe , à éviter (photo). Service & environnement à améliorer. Tout à la carte. $66ttc pour deux (3 plats+2 breuvages) avant pourboire sans surplus à rapporter à la maison. apportez votre vin.
I had sambhar ghee rice , mixed veg sabji ,paneer sabji & tirupati ladooo !! Yes they have emde it exactly the same way it tastes. Mixed veg I m buying again
Loved the tiffin & biryani. The best part is how customizable the meals are! If you don't want a particular item in a combo, they're happy to alter it, which is a big plus. Great food! I will highly recommend!
This is how I control my cravings for South Indian food! Dosa & Uttapams & sambar are great here! Friendly service, good price & BYOB! :) 3 min from metro! Highly recommend!

Lakshana's offers consistently flavorful South Indian food in a casual, no-frills setting. The dosas are crisp & well prepared, Everything we tasted was fresh, & the menu has enough variety to satisfy both newcomers & regulars.
Service is friendly & efficient, even during busy periods, & orders come out quickly. It's not a fancy spot, but it delivers where it matters: authentic flavors, good value, & reliable quality. A solid choice if you're craving proper South Indian comfort food in the area.
I went there last week with my friends, ordered few items including chettinad chicken curry, received couple items , & the server lady who was not even writing down the order, missed our order & we didnt get the complete items, later when we asked , she said she missed to tell the items to the kitchen & it might take couple minutes to get ready, We ordered parotta , & she came with Roti, but we wanted parotta, later she brought parotta after a long wait,
Chicken chettinad doesn't even taste like chettinad, we went to the restaurant just because of the name with lot of expectations, lastly we ordered a coffe , she brought coffee that is too strong, & after requesting we got another coffe, tasting ok, finally when it comes to the bill, she added bills for 2 coffees (including the strong coffe which we didn't even drink) , also all the items we ordered & then she missed to bring to the table were included in the bill, when we asked her why those were added, She said its the owners order to do so, Pathetic !! Never recommend,

Perfectly balanced & authentic Chettinad flavors! The South Indian special tiffin was outstanding, & the customized service by Punit made the experience even better. The fact that we finished both tiffins completely says everything about the taste-posting the empty plates says it all. Highly recommended!
excellent customer service & well run by a very efficient manager Swathi who goes above & beyond to
bring us a true taste of the chettinad cuisine in downtown montreal. I am always happy knowing i have my comfort food so close to home. Most importantly it is a pleasure to share this wonderful resto with authentic south indian & other indian delicious food with all friends & family, I hope you get to enjoy it too. Try it out, you will have a new experience, Namaskar!
I had channa masala, rice, & roti. All were excellent. Food was flavorful & warm. The service was equally as good. The place is not huge, more so cozy & welcoming. I walked in from the street, but parking is akin to that in any city block.
