I went there last week with my friends, ordered few items including chettinad chicken curry, received couple items , & the server lady who was not even writing down the order, missed our order & we didnt get the complete items, later when we asked , she said she missed to tell the items to the kitchen & it might take couple minutes to get ready, We ordered parotta , & she came with Roti, but we wanted parotta, later she brought parotta after a long wait, Chicken chettinad doesn't even taste like chettinad, we went to the restaurant just because of the name with lot of expectations, lastly we ordered a coffe , she brought coffee that is too strong, & after requesting we got another coffe, tasting ok, finally when it comes to the bill, she added bills for 2 coffees (including the strong coffe which we didn't even drink) , also all the items we ordered & then she missed to bring to the table were included in the bill, when we asked her why those were added, She said its the owners order to do so, Pathetic !! Never recommend,
This restaurant was just the best. This is authentic Indian food. The owner was a kind lady who brought everything out herself. Having spent 18 years in Chennai, the chicken chukka & Dosa here are as good as it gets.

New owners, new review. We were really disappointed. My wife is from India; I have been there many times (to India). The dosa was extremely small. My dish had 2 kinds of chicken. The veg were extremely spicy. The chicken biryani was also tooo spicy & very small portion. This is a completely different restaurant than 4 months ago. I do not recommend.
The Chicken 65 biryani I ordered was disappointing. The chicken was extremely dry, burnt, charred & overcooked. While I could tolerate the old chicken being served, the smell of the chicken indicated poor-quality oil, making it inedible.
I urge the owner to pay closer attention to the quality of the chicken served in the biryani. Restaurants have very little margin for error; it doesn't matter if you served a good meal to the same customer 100 times-one bad meal is enough to lose them forever. This is especially true during times of inflation & cut-throat competition in the industry.
I wish you all the best, but please double-check your quality standards. Your food has been excellent in the past, which is why I am giving this a 4-star rating to prevent it from affecting your overall score, despite my 1-star experience this time. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
We had 2 Maisur Masala dosas & 2 Paneer masala dosas & one chicken Masala dosa. Everyone in the family enjoyed their food, the best masala dosas we have had so far. Delicious food & great service. The hostess was professional & took her time to answer our questions. Will definitely visit again.
We ordered Chicken Chettinad Masala Dosa, Mango Lassi & Chicken Kothu. The Dosa was good. The portion of the Dosa was perfect & the filling inside was different (variety of ingredients including onions, tomatoes & daals which were not crushed so we could really feel/ taste them👌) from the South Indian restaurants we have tried in Montreal. The only improvement would be for the dosa crepe. It was not crispy enough but this could have been because we ordered the food for delivery. The Chicken Kothu was fantastic!! 👌The portion was generous & large chicken pieces were added. The flavours were mouth watering!! One of the best Chicken Kothu we have had so far! The Sambar it came with was really good! 👌Not too spicy & enough veges in there. It came in a plastic container👎 The coconut chutney it came with was super watery & couldn't see, feel or taste any coconut shredding. Perhaps they use dried coconut. It was NOT AUTHENTIC although it tasted fine. It just wasn't THE coconut 🥥 chutney.👎 The other red ginger garlic chutney was too salty & I think they add a ton of red/ orange food colour to it? NAH! 👎 The mango lassi was NOT GOOD!!!! It was too runny & I could literally taste that after taste of sugar!! Not sure what kind of mangoes they put in there but super low quality & superficial sugary taste! If the mangoes are good, no sugar is required. Mango is already sweet. These came in plastic containers used for curries & not an actual🥤👎
We had a great supper here tonight! A group of 7 people & we all really enjoyed sharing a number of dishes. The service was so pleasant & good was delicious. My wife is from Kerala & she rated the chilli chicken 10/10. 😁
Most authentic & friendly environment. We have tried Maysore masala dosa & it was amazing & ordered chicken 65 biriyani it was so good. Please visit this place. Will definitely come again.
