I came to to Lakshana's in 2023 summer with my family & friends from Niagra region & then came recently on May 13 2026. I felt really disappointed 😔 this time. Everything has changed even the taste of the food. We were charged extra for 2 Sambhars & 2 chutneys & when we asked this the lady said it is obvious everyone charges extra for these.
First of all it is not obvious, there are many restaurants which don't charge extra for extra sambhars / chutneys & even if they charge they tell us the time we are ordering them. So really disappointed still not giving them very low ratings because of our previous good experiences with lakshana .
The food was awesome..everything was made in desi ghee..quality & quantity was really good.
I forgot to ask the name of the lady (behind the counter) she is really sweet. She served the food with smile. She is a Gem 😊
Chavishta is the best waitress. Excellent Chettinad Chicken Masala Dosa. My sister had Chicken Tikka Masala & she told me this is the best Indian food she's ever had in Montreal.
Truly might be the best Indian food I have ever tasted, & I am a BIG fan of Indian food. Not too spicy & the flavours were SO RICH! Service was impeccable, special thanks to Chavishta for being unbelievably wonderful!
We went for the Wada & Dosa, but it was the Sambar that stole the show-it was absolutely out of this world! We couldn't get enough. Beyond the food, the service was exceptional, thanks to the kind gentleman managing the floor.
Best dosa(special tiffin recommended at downtown location!!), naan(at cote des neiges) love the puranpoli(great dessert), great people, best background music & atmosphere, I really love the chutneys!!
