& thanks to Derek & his amazing staff we had the most PERFECT night!
The food was cooked to perfection, the staff were very attentive to each guest, & the ambiance was presented perfectly! If you're looking for the best Italian food in the West-Island or even in all of Montreal you really NEED to go to La Verita! We look forward to going back for dinner & drinks & also look forward to celebrating many more special occasions at this picture perfect restaurant!

La Verita is an excellent restaurant. The food is fantastic, truly delicious.
The staff is amazing, cordial & professional. We just celebrated my twin daughters First Communion & I could not have asked for anything better.
Each dish was carefully prepared & simply delicious. Although we had several kids present, the staff was so patient & so nice with all the kids. They were also very attentive to all our needs & requests.
If you are looking for a romantic dinner for two or to celebrate an important occasion, you can't go wrong by choosing La Verita.
We just celebrated my daughters baptism at La Verita. I cannot emphasize enough the professionalism of this staff. The service was impeccable from the moment we sat down to discuss a menu last week to the actual event. The food was delicious, mouth watering using only the best produce. We had the entire place to ourselves which was great. We were 60 adults & 15 kids, & had so much room to just enjoy the evening. We had set up a section for arts & craft for the kids. As well had an area dedicated to the magician we had come. Needless to say the staff was very accomadating. The decor of the restaurant is perfect. Clean trendy & on point. We just couldn't be happier with the outcome. Derek & Nick you guys have truly gone above & beyond for us & we are so grateful. You guys make the perfect team, & because of it your restaurant is a success in every sense. God bless & thank you thank you thank you!
At the end of November 2014, we hosted our daughter's baptism at La Verità. We were graced with the presence of 74 of our friends & family. The event was perfect & we were proud to have chosen this venue for this special occasion. The restaurant is only open for private parties on Sundays so we got to enjoy this place all to ourselves.
First, let me point out that the restaurant itself is a beautiful, modern setting that requires nothing at all. This made our job as hosts that much easier! We prepared placecards to guide our guests to their seats & the staff had prepared the table at the entrance with the said cards beautifully. In addition, the staff took great care in setting up our party favours on the bar area. The setup of the favours was stunning & made the favours look that much nicer!
Secondly, we cannot say enough about the food....& our guests kept raving about it. We obviously chose this restaurant further to a tasting & the meal was just as delicious as the day we sampled it despite the volume. Our menu consisted of the following:
1) Foccacia
2) Pasta
3) Salad
4) Choice of filet mignon or salmon
5) we brought our own dessert
Having selected the filet mignon ourselves, we can simply say that it melts in your mouth. Our guests were just as delighted with the salmon. The presentation of the food was also very nice.
The staff was very attentive to our needs & to those of our guests. They were beyond courteous & extremely diligent in serving both the food & the drinks to our guests promptly. Never did we feel rushed through our meal or with regard to the evening itself for that matter.
For dessert, we served a cake & macarons. All went well & we have no complaints with regard to the service of this course either.
As a bonus, the children were seated at a table facing a flat screen television. We were able to bring DVD's to keep them entertained in their little corner. Great for the adults to be able to enjoy their own meal!
Finally, we highly recommend La Verità for any private party...they have clearly mastered the art of catering to a big crowd! We are proud of our choice & beemed with joy knowing our guests were that impressed.
We recently had my son's post wedding reception at this restaurant & I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was beautiful & the service was impeccable. I would like to thank Derek & his staff for making this event a memorable one. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone planning a gathering or to just go for a quiet dinner. We had 65 guests & the restaurant was beautifully set. By the way, they have a beautiful outdoor terrace, which was great for our guests to have a drink & relax. Biggest hit: Braised Lamb Shank & the octopus!!!

Food was amazing.Menu was great with enough choice to be satisfied .Price is a bit steep but well worth it.
My lobster stuffed ravioli in creamy sauce was delicious.

I had my daughter's confirmation on Saturday & was impressed by the service & food. I was a few minutes late but once seated my party & I were served immediately. I cannot say enough of the octopus ( I think everyone could of just eaten that alone!). I had a great menu ( pasta, veal, fish) & not having tried the food prior to the event I enjoyed everything. Service (Carlo & Lucas) was very attentive. Would I recommend to have your party there yes, romantic evening yes. Try it & see for yourselves if I am not wrong!

Excellent food & great service, that is what I experienced this past Sunday at La Verita where we celebrated my son's baptism. This was my first time dinning at this resto but I had heard a lot of great reviews from friends & that's how we selected it as the venue for the baptism. My husband & I couldn't be happier with our choice, many of our guests were also experiencing la Verita for the first time & we all agree we will definitely be returning!
I have been a regular guest at La Verita since its creation. The first thing you notice is the truly warm welcome, the classic ambiance...& then you are overwhelmed by the food & the service.
From pastas to fish & their grill, I have tasted most of their items on their refined menu....everything is always at its best! The wine selection to accompany your meal (before, during & after!) will add to your experience at La Verita.
Even after so many visits I still feel that a meal or even a private event is always a great experience you will want to repeat!
I have traveled the world many times & dined in many luxurious restaurants in foreign lands or waters but La Verita will always be "my" place of choice at any time! Challenge me!!!

I've dined at this restaurant various times for both lunch & dinner - for both business & pleasure. Every experience has been exceptional. Montreal doesn't have a good rep for it's customer service (anywhere) so the service at this resto is quite the unique experience. The staff are all very friendly & attentive. Your wine & water glasses are always topped up without asking. The menu is not long & complicated & the chef even accommodates special requests. The entrees are tasty & the tiramisu served in a martini glass is heavenly. The wait staff is not pushy but relaxed. Tommy & Fabien are by far the best wait staff in Montreal. Bottom line, great resto & will go back - often!
J'ai organisé une réception pour 50 convives, principalement des professionnels du transport, le proprio & le personnel ont été super! De l'organisation de la soirée, en nous conseillant judicieusement, jusqu'à la réception l'équipe nous a assisté à toutes les étapes pour assurer que notre soirée soit une réussite.
Expérience, excellence dans l'exécution & très bon rapport qualité-prix: une combinaison pour le succès.

I have dined at this restaurant with my husband almost a dozen times & with each experience we're extremely impressed.
The service is hands down some of the best I've received & the food is always superb. The temperature, seasoning & aesthetics of every dish is perfect.
It is never loud, the lighting is romantic & seating is comfortable.
The staff are all very kind & well humored.
This is a great place for a romantic dinner, a business meeting, celebrations...
My husband & I have yet to test the outdoor experience, but with out a doubt we will be doing so as soon as the weather permits :))
For those interested in trying a new restaurant...this one should be on the top of your list!!!!

Well... where shall I begin...? I ABSOLUTELY love that restaurant. It is definitely my favourite Italian restaurant, ever since I discovered it I have been ignoring all other Italian places. As a matter of fact, it's my favourite restaurant period. The food is to die for, I keep going back & simply cannot get enough! The service is fantastic, I have never seen such friendly, professional, funny, smart, efficient waiters. The decor is fabulous, modern, tasteful! Ambiance is perfect, warm, welcoming... Go see it for yourself!
