If you haven't tried this restaurant it's a must. The food is excellent the staff is very friendly. Derrick the owner makes sure everything is perfect.

It's our first night in Montreal & it's my birthday! 🥳 My daughter made reservations at La Verità.
They started us off with a plate of focaccia, olives & sundried tomatoes. This was our first meal of the day & it waa yummy, it opened up our appetite. 😋
We had three different staff looking after us. They suggested items not on the menu so to start, we selected the Burrata with pistachios, pomegranate & a honey balsamic drizzle with sourdough strips. This was a delicious starter, & very filling!😋
Our mains were the Lasagna & the Lobster Ravioli in a cream sauce. My daughter loved her Lobster Ravioli 🦞, my lasagna could feed two. Although it was meaty & cheesey, something about the pasta was lacking, a four out of five for me.
We ended our night with desserts, but before we ordered, the staff was nice enough to bring out a slice of Tirimasu with a lit candle. I'm not a big fan of Tirimasu, (but I truly appreciated the thought). We ordered the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream & the carrot cake with walnuts. These desserts were exceptional!😋😋
The staff were attentive & friendly, & a special shout out to Nolan, who was so kind & helpful, teaching us proper French translationings.🤭😜
It was a wonderful evening, & a fabulous start to our vacation. 🎉🍷
Lunch with my cousin to celebrate his birthday. Great ambiance. We had crab cakes as appetizers & they were delicious. I had the sea bass & he had the braised beef both were very tasty. Can't wait to return. Service was attentive.
I went last night for a birthday dinner & wow was I blown away! The food was amazing, big enough portions to keep you full & our waiter was amazing! Will definitely be going back!

La Verita has become our go-to restaurant. The service, food & welcoming atmosphere are unparalleled in the West-Island. Whether it's a family dinner, birthday celebration or business lunch/dinner, you are in good hands! Bravo Derek & team!
I drove from Ottawa to surprise my Mom for her birthday (75), staff were super accommodating & were in on our scenario from the start. Server was awesome, was there without us asking or having to ask for anything. &.. one big thing, my Gluten friendly diet daughter did not have any issue finding anything to eat on the menu, which for her can be a stressful & let down for such an event.. we were not let down & she had a delicious meal. All in all a super experience. Also, as an out of towner... parking can be a thing.... & there is tones!!! As it is next to a mall! Win Win! In the end, they let us have our great special, inter-generation evening'our way' we were well served, were not kept wanting for anything & they let us have our moment as a family!....for that I say a big thank you! Oh oh...& they are bilingual...you are welcomed with a'Hello-Bonjour' to me that means a lot as a francophone.

It was our first time there last night. We were celebrating my husbands 60 th birthday. Since the moment I spoke to Johnny on the phone to reserve, until the very end including a dessert with sparkles for hubby, it was an amazing experience! Alain was our waiter & was incredible). The beautiful hostess was also very kind & helpful. We will definitely be going back !
Ps. My son who never eats with appetite, devoured the calamari & flank steak.

Excellent service from Stéphanie for my boyfriend's 41st Birthday on Friday September 15th.
We had cocktails, wine, appetizers, the main course was hard to choose & you know how it is.... You always wish you had picked the first choice... (which was the Ossobucco ) Even the second choice which was the Risotto with fungi & cream & unicorn whispers====they will never admit it but they use it as a secret ingredient
So I had the Ricotta Gnocchi topped with Burrata. Still good bug I'm never really hungry by the time we get to our main courses.... Not after 3 appetizers & sometimes bread
It was awesome. Stéfan was very pleaded.
Stephanie gets mentioned in a lot of reviews because she is a pro & also quick, efficient & the right amount of talking back .
When in June for my birthday, we were a party of 5. Had a wonderful time, spent over $500. Went back in August & waiter was not happy with his tip & was very rude. Will not be returning. Will go somewhere where our business is appreciated thank you.
Exceptional service! Was very accomodating to my severe food intolerances, which usually leave me staying away from dining out. Had halibut, which was perfectly cooked, memebers of my family were also very pleased with their dishes. Perfect birthday dinner on the West Island with plenty of parking! Definitely will be back, our thanks to chef Nick & the whole staff of servers!

No vegeterian/vegan option on the menu. The head server ruined my birthday night cause he lost his patiance when we asked a question about the appetizers! I am very disappointed. I regret that we didn't leave right away! Waste of money .
This was our fourth visit with family in two years (we come each time we visit from the states). The food continues to be high-caliber/quality. The servers are professional & know how to serve. One server recognized us from previous visits, which was an added pleasure. Our server David, had a perfect wine recommendation that matched our four varied mains. The specials are well-conceived & all of the menu items are well-orchestrated. Nothing gratuitous on the plates, & the garnishes are perfect, nothing superfluous. In short, this is a professional, high-quality Italian restaurant with excellent service. Some of the best escargot & octopus that we've ever had. They also had a perfect dessert with sparkler for my father-in-law's birthday. Perfect classy touch.
We had heard of La Verita from family & friends, & since we were celebrating my wife's birthday, we decided it would be the best time to try it out. Booking a reservation is easy through their website. We arrived promptly for our 5:30 slot & were seated immediately.
Our waitress, Stephanie, was extremely friendly & quick. She gave us a full rundown of all the off menu items as well as answering our questions about the menu. We started off with the escargots & pan fried scallops for appetizers, which were delicious. The scallops melted in your mouth. They also gave us a small starter plate of focaccia, olives & sun dried tomatoes.
Our main dishes were the red deer medallion, short rib (Which was an off menu item) & the bavette (8oz angus flank). Each dish had a choice of soup or salad. All our dishes were excellent. Cooked exactly how we wanted it.
& as a nice surprise, Stephanie brought my wife some complimentary tiramisu dessert for her birthday.
