Made a reservation online two days before.
We went yesterday for our anniversary dinner.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by smiling staff who showed us to our table.
By the time we sat down the hostess let us know they had placed an order of focaccia to the table.
Within a few minutes, the Waitress came & recommended us some cocktails & we're delicious!
We ordered the Fiore de Zucchi & Calamari as appetizers , food was delicious!
Dinner was equally as delicious, & the atmosphere was great.
Not to loud, music was nice & the overall experience was topped off when they brought us a complementary Raspberry Tiramisu!!
Couldn't have asked for better service or food on a special night.

Wine, appetizers, food & dessert, all very very good! Even the homemade bread & butter, so freah & delicious.
Lunch with my cousin to celebrate his birthday. Great ambiance. We had crab cakes as appetizers & they were delicious. I had the sea bass & he had the braised beef both were very tasty. Can't wait to return. Service was attentive.

It was our first time & it will not be the last one.
Appetizers were very generous & main course were very good. What I appreciated the most is that the cook adjusted my meal to my taste. They did a grilled Veal Tomahawk for one ( it was not on the menu ) & it was very good. This is what I call customer service & a great cook that is ready to please its Clientele.
dessert was a nice touch to finish the meal & the shots of Sambuca were a must to end a great evening.
In addition, we did not have one waiter but three. Efficiency, fast response & great food & wine recommendations.
Congratulations to the entire La Verità team. You all deserve a 5 Stars.

On Thursday December 14th we had our company Christmas dinner at La Verita. We were a party of 20. We had a multi-course meal which included fresh bread & focaccia, calamari & crab cakes, an appetizer of prosciutto, melon & mozzarella, a plate of penne pasta with tomato sauce, a green salad, & a main course of braised beef or salmon. Dessert was home-made tiramisu. The food was excellent. There were plenty of wine choices & a variety of hot drinks to follow the meal. The service was consistent & friendly. We were quite amazed that the food was hot & served all at once. Derek & his team did an excellent job. We will most certainly have future dinners at La Verita. Definitely a restaurant with class, great service, & excellent food!
What can I say, this is literally my favorite restaurant in Montreal! Food is absolutely amazing & the service is second to none. Decor is cozy & they have a great selection of Scotch at the bar. desserts are also off the charts! I highly recommend the maple cheesecake & the crème brûle! Getting the Burrata as an appetizer is also a must, best I've ever had! Prices are also very reasonable considering the quantity & quality of the dishes, you'd easily pay double downtown for food half as good. I also recommend sitting at the bar & getting a drink with Joe the bartender, super friendly & really helpful in suggesting what to eat & drink. This is a must visit if you're ever in the West Island area! Keep up the great work guys!
Excellent service from Stéphanie for my boyfriend's 41st Birthday on Friday September 15th.
We had cocktails, wine, appetizers, the main course was hard to choose & you know how it is.... You always wish you had picked the first choice... (which was the Ossobucco ) Even the second choice which was the Risotto with fungi & cream & unicorn whispers====they will never admit it but they use it as a secret ingredient
So I had the Ricotta Gnocchi topped with Burrata. Still good bug I'm never really hungry by the time we get to our main courses.... Not after 3 appetizers & sometimes bread
It was awesome. Stéfan was very pleaded.
Stephanie gets mentioned in a lot of reviews because she is a pro & also quick, efficient & the right amount of talking back .

Great meal on the terrace with excellent service. The appetizers & desserts were also fantastic.
As we entered, we were welcome right away by the hostess. She walked us to our table for our meeting lunch. Service was great, water with lemon was brought to the table, & some bread to munch on while we decided on what we wanted to order. The waitress presented with details each of the dishes that were available but not on the menu. We all ordered mains, & she recommended to order an appetizer to share as it might take a while to get our mains, which we did. The service had a good flow, & we never had to ask for our water to be filled. We were checked up upon multiple times, & we appreciated that. The food itself was good. Quality ingredients, flavorful & enjoyable. We all cleared our plates. I would highly recommend for lunch time.

Excellent service - Great selection of appetizers, order the Speck with fabulous Panzanella salad & Octopus- followed with rib steak, lamb chops (yum) & fish with saffron sauce. Very lucky to have such a great restaurant in the West Island.
The meal was divine, the service was stellar, & the restaurant is classy. My husband ordered escargot (appetizer) & veal scallopine, & it was Cajun salmon for me. The meal was beautifully presented & not a morsel was wasted. For dessert it was a warmed brownie with ice cream & we enjoyed it.
Besides the meal & restaurant being wonderful, the bathroom was spotless which just added to the already awesomeness of the place. Alain tended to us as if we were family. Thank you very much & we hope to be back with friends.
No vegeterian/vegan option on the menu. The head server ruined my birthday night cause he lost his patiance when we asked a question about the appetizers! I am very disappointed. I regret that we didn't leave right away! Waste of money .
This is our first time in here. The services are great! David introduced their special appetizer which not on the menu, we amazed & by the authentic Italian food.
We had heard of La Verita from family & friends, & since we were celebrating my wife's birthday, we decided it would be the best time to try it out. Booking a reservation is easy through their website. We arrived promptly for our 5:30 slot & were seated immediately.
Our waitress, Stephanie, was extremely friendly & quick. She gave us a full rundown of all the off menu items as well as answering our questions about the menu. We started off with the escargots & pan fried scallops for appetizers, which were delicious. The scallops melted in your mouth. They also gave us a small starter plate of focaccia, olives & sun dried tomatoes.
Our main dishes were the red deer medallion, short rib (Which was an off menu item) & the bavette (8oz angus flank). Each dish had a choice of soup or salad. All our dishes were excellent. Cooked exactly how we wanted it.
& as a nice surprise, Stephanie brought my wife some complimentary tiramisu dessert for her birthday.
A wonderful evening from start to finish.

La Verita hosted our work holiday party. From the very outset, Derek & his team were accommodating & responsive. They provided many menu options, & allowed for changes to suit our group’s needs. The night of the event was beyond our expectations. Every detail was handled by their team, & we were able to enjoy our night. The food, the atmosphere, & the service were exceptional. We had a set menu that included mixed appetizers, salad, main course, & dessert. Every course was delicious, & the tiramisu was perfection. One of the best meals I’ve had in the West Island.
Every one of my colleagues commented on what a great night they had. I would definitely recommend La Verita if you are looking for somewhere to hold an event. I will surely be returning here with friends & family.
I had previously visited La Verita on a few occasions, with each dinner being better than the last. Subsequently my wife & I decided to have our reception dinner there this past Saturday & we're delighted we did. Derek, the owner of La Verita is without doubt a professional, who is extremely knowledgeable, & obviously someone who cares about making people feel comfortable. From helping us finalize our menu & our table layout to his greeting us at the reception desk on our special night, assured us we were in goods hands. My wife & I & each of our guests, some of whom were already pleasantly familiar with La Verita, were overwhelmed with the beautifully presented plates, the incredibly delicious food, extraordinarily professional & attentive staff, who's timing was absolutely perfect with everything. Our waiter for the evening was friendly, attentive a pleasure to deal with & blessed with perfect timing. The décor is a clean, modern look, with wavy demi walls, giving an inviting softness. Lighting is gives a warm comfortable ambience. The wavy half walls also help considerably in cutting down noise levels. As far as the food is concerned, every dish was incredible. Elegant presentations, Grand choice of delicious appetizers (including La Veritas amazing meat balls), & of course the main courses. The majority of our guests including myself chose the 10oz filet mignon. I've had many in my time & La Verita's are the best I have ever had, quite simply PERFECT. That was the unanimous opinion from all at our table which speaks volumes for La Verita's ability to produce high quality plates on a consistent basis. Don't try this at home folks, these guys are professionals. Everyone commented on the delicious food, wine & how smoothly everything went & how beautiful the entire evening was. Food , service, decor & ambience.... If I could give more stars I would. I'd like to thank Derek, his manager Tommy & the incredible staff at La Verita for turning a memorable evening for 2 into a beautiful event for 16. Bravo! Aug 6 2022 UPDATE: After a few years hiatus, we recently returned to one of our favorite restaurants. Unfortunately our experience deteriorated considerably since our last visit. I ordered their signature dish (10oz Filet Mignon), medium rare, served with broiled asparagus & a single carrot. The service was perfect as usual. Unfortunately the filet mignon was slightly overdone, asparagus was borderline & the carrot was absolutely raw. But the most concerning was the ambiance of this once classy establishment. Tattooed bikers entered wearing so much perfume we were forced to ask waiter to change our table, then we were placed beside another table where 4 men who's language was so inappropriate, I was embarrassed for bringing my wife. Unfortunately management & staff allow this type of behavior. This restaurant desperately needs a makeover has now become a really expensive brasserie.
