I have been going to la sirène de la mer for as long as I can remember. The quality, service, friendly & familiar atmosphere always gives me a great feeling & satisfied evening. I recommend for fancy or casual lunch/dinners, big or small groups. Always a great time!
There's a section where you can choose your fish & have it cooked. Had great service, though a little slower than expected at times. We were served the uncooked keebe that we thought was only served cooked, but the waiter was kind enough to change it for us.
The place looks great.

If I could leave -1000 stars that is what I would leave. I came to celebrate MY 31st birthday & the server could not careless, no attention was given to me or my guests we were given a bad table for a group of 12 that i had booked a week in advance . The staff & the waiters were very dismissive of me (birthday girl) , it took them an hour just to serve us water & bring menus knowing the kitchen closed at 10 & we arrived at 8pm .. refusing to take my order first because the waiter he wanted to follow the order of the seats on his paper. Then 3 of us decided to change seats & the server freaked out & said to one of us that he would not serve us if we didn't go to our original seating. We complained to management & they tried to diffuse the situation but then we came to found out our orders weren't sent in & the kitchen was closed so we waited 2 hours to then know i wasn't going to have dinner.. i cried. They didn't care. Again, the management & other waiters tried to make it up to us & brought out some disgusting old cold food, along with missing plates that weren't available anymore **kibbeh nayyeh** & for the most part, it wasn't good, it was dry & overcooked & flavorless. Then the previous server we had came to clear the table & judged/disrespected/insulted me infront of my family with a comment that no person who works in the hospitality should ever say to a guest. I cried again.. At that point we had had enough & we didn't wanna spend another minute there & ended up not having the cake my mother had brought. I chose this place thinking it would be an amazing classy experience & nothing would go wrong. They ruined my birthday with no remorse. From the moment i walked in we were disrespected, dismissed, insulted.. I've never felt so bad in my life. They didn't even care to fix anything. This place should close down or get a new staff. Ruined my birthday!!!!! I will never forget
Terrible place to buy fish. The purposly tell you that the freshest fish is always the biological one, which they sell an abnormal price. They always insist that the non-biological is dating back 4 days, which makes no sense. Terrible customer service & terrible product.
Food & service have always been amazing until tonight!! We waited forever for the waiter to come give us water & take our drink order. Same for coming back to get our food order. Food was great but it took almost 2 hours to get it. We were only 3 people including an elderly person. Everyone in the restaurant, including all those that came in after us, got served & left before we got our food.
We asked if they did anything for birthdays, they brought us a piece of cake, of their choice, then charged us $9.
Honestly, after going there for years, I was very disappointed tonight. We felt ignored & preferential service towards certain tables was so obvious.

I am a regular client there & so is my family.
I took the time to visite, speak with the manager & book ONE MONTH in advance for my wedding reception. I called to confirm & they said my reservation was CANCELLED & they booked another group. So basically leaving me like this saying it was my fault when it clearly was a mistake of theirs. So left 4 days before my event with no place for the reception.
Not offering anything to help, saying they will call me back & never do. The staff is so offensive & ridiculous. No one seems to know anything. BAD BAD BAD MANAGEMENT & stupide employees that don't give a flying F**** of anything going on in there own restaurant. THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL .
Don't recommend EVER to go there. THEY ARW NOT WORTHY OF THEIR BUSINESS.
I made reservations at least one week before going, I was rudely told that everyone makes reservations. So obviously they do not honour your reservations. This has happened before on another occasion. We were finally seated, then we were told that it was reserved for someone else. Fortunately, they did not move us!!!!The service was terrible, no water had to ask at least 3 times, no bread. When the fish finally arrived it was lukewarm. We waited for our bill at least half an hour. Very busy night. We were basically ignored all night.
Restaurant très sympa, serveurs professionnels & de bon conseils.le gérant très accueillant. Les fruits de mer & poissons sont extra frais, Tout était excellent, du début à la fin malgré que le restau était complet un samedi soir, nous avons été rapidement très bien servi. Les entrées sont copieuses, un bon restau. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir !!!!
We have had several bad experiences at this restaurant in the past year. Food is hit & miss, sometimes very good other times terrible. Tonight the extremely poor & rude service added up to make for an unforgettable evening. We won't go back.

Last Saturday, on 18th August, I had a night mare of an experience of my life at this restaurant. It was the worst service ever I have encountered in Montreal in last 45 years.
We arrived on time for our 8:30 pm reservations, were seated at our table, but no waiters showed up with menus or to take our orders, until 9:00 pm. Upon asking for waiter, our orders were taken , but no food showed up until I complained at 10:15 pm, asking them, if my party was going to be served any food that evening.
The grilled Salmon I had ordered was DRY, as if it had been sitting on the stove for half an hour or so. The rest of the food was mediocre.
The guests sitting behind & adjacent to us left at 10:15 pm, since they were also not served with any food.
It was an embarrassing situation as I had brought my guests from UK to this restaurant.
Never Again will I visit this restaurant.
Restaurant très convivial, serveurs sympathiques, grand choix de nourriture. Les fruits de mer & poissons sont extra frais, bien apprêtés. Tout était excellent, du début à la fin (mention spéciale aux desserts). Les entrées sont copieuses, à partager à 2 ou 3. Nous y retournerons... un sans faute pour ce resto!
Lebanese coastal cuisine par excellence, with some of the best mezzes (Middle Eastern appetizers) in the city. Hummus & babaghanoush to drool over, with only the freshest vegetables contributing to wonderfully tasty fatoush & tabboule salads.
But the kicker? The freshest of seafood products, serviced by the adjacent fish monger store under the same roof.
The service is classic-Lebanese: hospitable, welcoming (in typical Levantine fashion) & always professional; maitre d' Mr. Milad, when present, always greets clientele with a warm smile & big hug; reservations are a MUST on a busy weekend evening.
All-in-all, among the best seafood-themed restos in Montreal.
