La Sirène De La Mer is widely praised for fresh seafood and authentic Lebanese coastal flavors, with the fish described as incredibly fresh and the mezze generous and well balanced. The atmosphere is often described as elegant, chic, and welcoming, making it a good choice for celebrations and gatherings. Service is frequently noted as professional and attentive, but some visits report slower, less consistent service and longer waits on busy nights. A few reviews mention noise and crowds as a drawback, while others emphasize consistent quality and the option to choose your own fish to be prepared to order. Standout elements for many guests include hummus, warm dips, and dessert, as well as the ability to pair seafood with Lebanese specialties. Overall, La Sirène De La Mer comes across as a top Lebanese seafood destination with strong hospitality and memorable meals, though experiences may vary with crowd level and time of visit.
We were really disappointed with our experience. The food is just not the same anymore & lacks flavor. We ordered a wide variety of dishes - meat, fish, appetizers, & salads - hoping at least some would stand out, but unfortunately everything was quite bland & not tasty.
On top of that, the service was also disappointing.
This restaurant is not what it used to be. The quality of both the food & the service has clearly gone down. Sadly, we won't be coming back.
The food was a disapointment except for the hummus & grilled lamb chops. The fattoush salad & side orders (rice & veggies) disapointed significantly.
Plus we waited over 15 minutes for the waiter to show-up. Lots of holes in the service that have to be addressed, it's unlike the Lebanese standard in hospitality. Food definitely needs to be more Lebanese for taste.
Overrated place & not going again.

My family & I love this restaurant. Chic but welcoming, perfect to celebrate a special occasion.
The staff is so nice & the food is delicious, the fish & seafood are so fresh. This place works great for bigger groups too - we like to order a bunch of appetizers & share. Their hummus, fried calamari, & aubergine salad are my personal favorites.
Very delicious & fresh sea food. You can pick the fish of your choice from the market inside the restaurant! A wonderful experience for all seafood lovers. The non-seafood options were good as well. All the sides we tried were phenomenal. Not pictured: the hummus, tabouli salad, kibbeh, & cheese rolls. Recommend everything in the photo & not in the photo ;) The halawet al jibn for dessert was great as well.
Very nice & welcoming staff. The restaurant is well located & has a cute terrace. However, the fattouche salad, the squid & the fries were not my favorite, overalla bit bland. The prices are very high for the quality of the food/ingredients.
I have been coming to this restaurant shortly after it opened. By far one of the best places in the city for fresh seafood from their in house seafood store, but also freshly prepared in multiple cooking methods according the a clients preference. Their menue these days blends the Middle East with Mediterranean with a leaning to a leaning toward Lebanese food. So why not 5 stars instead of 4? Simple - I do not believe that the price is commensurate with the product. The product is good quality for sure & fresh for sure, but far too many times have I ordered the chicken & it was dry. Moreover, I find that the quantity to be a little less than it should be as well on numerous items. Now this could be because they have a captive market & an audience that fully accepts this, but for me I look at it in a fair manner for all audiences who've not been here. So, this being stated the decor is simple yet classy & the only flaw to this is the noise level as there is nothing to absorb sound at all. The staff are lovely though there are times where some have a difficult understanding & communicating in English & even French at times. The presentation is great & the seasoning of all the foods ( I have at this point tried everything on the menu), & tastes delicious to say the least. Obviously their edge is with their amazing seafood & fish products & although pricy, they are delicious & if you don't mind price - go for it you won't be let down at all. Their desserts are also delicious as noted in my photos & also a list, fattoush salad, & one of the best babaganoush in the city bar none. You might also find their shrimp plate to be exceptional as well as the little lightly breaded & fried fish (forget the type), & their foul is like being in the Middle East. Oddly enough, their (white) creamy clam chowder is chock full of clams & you'll want another bowl for sure as it rivals those from Boston. Service is very good & they do take care of you. It can be problematic when there are large table groups as the servers tend to favour these large groups more than a small table of two to four people. I suppose it may have to do with the size of the bill & associated tip but I can't blame the services for this as most servers would likely do the same. So to avoid this a little, I prefer to go earlier before the place gets too busy & noisy - say around 5:00 pm & no later than 5:45. By the time you're done your meal it will have filled up & become noisy. Don't forget to have dessert such as their chocolate cake, their baklava & their amazing cheese cake. Their wine & alcohol selection is rock solid & should please even the discerning connoisseur. Hope you enjoy eating here as much as we/I have over the years & will continue to on the future.
Wow! Quelle magnifique expérience! Leur paella est INCROYABLE! J'ai aussi adoré leur salade fattouche, le knafeh, le thé à la menthe, puis leur vin. Je compte définitivement revenir.
Food is good. I had not been there is many years & it was good to be back. I had the fatuch salad & paella. I went on a Saturday at noon & the restaurant was pretty empty. The service was good & then after lunch I picked up some fish from their fish store. I tried the octopus salad & it was tender & tasty.
Merci.
Expérience à refaire.

Very expensive for the little food quantity & taste you get. Lobster salad doesn’t taste like lobster at all.. even the meat tartare (kebeh neyi) no taste no salt.
Overpriced!
Lebanese coastal cuisine par excellence, with some of the best mezzes (Middle Eastern appetizers) in the city. Hummus & babaghanoush to drool over, with only the freshest vegetables contributing to wonderfully tasty fatoush & tabboule salads.
But the kicker? The freshest of seafood products, serviced by the adjacent fish monger store under the same roof.
The service is classic-Lebanese: hospitable, welcoming (in typical Levantine fashion) & always professional; maitre d' Mr. Milad, when present, always greets clientele with a warm smile & big hug; reservations are a MUST on a busy weekend evening.
All-in-all, among the best seafood-themed restos in Montreal.
