My wife and I frequent Old Montreal regularly and have our favorite places. For something different we decided to try Jacopo on place Jacques Cartier as it is new. We sat on the quaint terrace and when we went inside found the decor very nice and the place was very clean. The service was also excellent and very efficient. The food however was quite plain and rather flavorless. The prices were exorbitant and sprung on the unsuspecting tourists who made up a large part of the clientele. Plates arrive with only your meat and fish selection leaving you to order everything else piece meal. We paid $200 for a second rate meal that was not worth $100. We will not go back.

We have had several bad experiences at this restaurant in the past year. Food is hit and miss, sometimes very good other times terrible. Tonight the extremely poor and rude service added up to make for an unforgettable evening. We won't go back.
