This was really good. The food had so many different tones & flavors. Very good for a nice fancy date! I simply loved it!
Shocked at the good reviews for this place. I went a few years ago for brunch & it was overpriced & forgettable. Recently went with a big party for the set menu. I find it to not be worth it for the price. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was ok. Also when I nicely asked for the mayo to go one of the servers was very judgey & said'a container for those two things of mayo? We don't have anything to pack that up'.. it is very reasonable to pack up dipping sauces to go for any restaurant. They ended up giving me the container but it's just the principle of it. Anyway a couple other people also didn't love their main dishes. Didn't have the dessert but it looked ok. It was a French toast thing.
The two stars are for the excellent soup, yummy pickles, pretty good green salad & delicious fries!! & the mayo is next level tbh...
Oh & I got a spicy margarita. Zero stars. Hate to say it but it was flavorless.
Paid almost 100 dollars with tip for this place. I won't be coming back.
This restaurant really has some original plates. We went there for lunch & nothing on the menu was just your standard breakfast or brunch. We had French Toast (Pain Perdu) & a Focaccia vegetarian lentil patty. Both were works of art. The tastes vary & it depends on your preferences but the originality & experience really make it worth it. The French Toast was excellent & the Focaccia lentil patty was good, although it would not be my go to next time. They change the menu often & the service was excellent, with reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.
Both our meals were so so good just wish the portions were a tad bigger. Great atmosphere & friendly servers ! Would go back when in the city for the French toast alone
I had my birthday brunch with my girls here, the waitress Shena is wonderful. We received the best service & the warmest welcome from her. The food is great as usual, highly recommend the French toast & the apple purée pancake, the beef shoulder plate is also amazing. The birthday candle really makes my day!
Service was great. We had a large group that can always pose a challenge to the server & the kitchen & they handled it without a flaw. The French toast was unique, delicious, & beautifully presented. The soft boiled egg was perfectly cooked & served in a light syrup that was a please t surprise.
Amazing pancake & French toast, da best. Simple soft & not too sweet. Amazing way to start the day
I cannot believe how good the food & service was! This is a favourite restaurant now. That was the absolute best French toast I have EVER had the pleasure of eating, the scallopped potatoes are forever a good memory of mouth joy, the rillets were just fantastically balanced & the duck was better than I'd imagined it could be.
La Fabrique in Montreal is well-known for its creative & high-quality French-Canadian cuisine. The restaurant offers a mix of brunch & dinner options, with dishes that showcase bold flavors & fresh ingredients.
This is my new fav. brunch place in Montreal.
Menu is extensive & it changes every month. Their french toast is delicious.
It's located close to Metro Sherbrooke, in St Denis.
Let's just get one thing out of the way. We ended up eating there FOUR times. The staff was super attentive, friendly & nice So much of the food is top: -beef tartare with duck fried French fries -croissant with poultry & duck egg -Rockefeller oyster - French toast…oh god! With THICK cut bacon - great wine selection - pickles in ginger to take home -braised beef!! Thank you all making our visits wonderful!
We came to Montreal in the search of the best French toast in the city & we may have had the best of our lives. We LOVED this place & everything was perfect. You must keep this spot on your list & make a reservation. The food was excellent & the service top notch.
I read that this was ranked among the top 10 brunch restaurants in Canada...that must have been some years ago because this isn't even in the top 5 brunch places I've been to in Montreal. This place is always busy but I feel like it's driven by hype more than anything else. Very elegant space that is well put together. The service is good too. I was excited to try the pancakes here, but the variety they were serving at the time of my visit did not speak to me at all so unfortunately had to skip on that for the frittata. MY dish was topped with all sorts of unnecessary seeds, greens & nuts that did not compliment the dish. It's like they were going nuts with the presentation with little thought to how it would actually taste. I enjoyed the fresh juice but it was pricy, which goes for the entire menu in general. The only item I truly enjoyed was the salted caramel french toast dessert, that was a real treat. I would return to try the pancakes in the future though so perhaps my review will improve after a future visit, if it happens.
Server with lip piercing was so nice !! The echine de porc was so good & the side french toast too 🤤🤤🤤
Must visit weekend brunch place in Montreal. We chose to sit inside due to the heat, & the interior is lovely. We ordered an oat milk latte & a strawberry lemonade while we were perusing the menu, & they were brought to us very quickly. Our server was attentive & made great suggestions, including getting one of each of the side options (salad & duck fat fries). My partner & I got the salmon tartare & the beef tartare, both delicious & fresh. We shared the caramel French toast, which was to die for. I have never had French toast that good in my life, & when I come back to Montreal I will be coming here for brunch again!
Had our last brunch here before catching our train to Toronto. Beautiful place, sunny patio. Service needs improvement. Took long for them to approach our table to take our order. Food was slow as well, when I followed up they said sorry & they were busy earlier in the morning, but they were not that busy at that moment. Took an hour from being seated to the service of our food. Most dishes were okay but our favorites were definitely the french toast & the salmon tartare.
just the best classic brunch you'll have. great vibe inside & out. always busy so go early or late but always worth the wait if you have to. the french toast is incredible & so are any of their seasonal. the steak croissant sandwich i've heard is amazing too. great service & perfect for a meal after a night out or with the girls on a weekend.
The food was amazing, we ordered the pancakes which were really good, not to sweet & the egg was poached perfectly. We also ordered the brisket sandwich which was delicious. The server was fantastic, we were tourists & he was very kind & patient with our lack of french, he spoke english perfectly & even spanish. Overall the experiencie was fantastic.
