I cannot believe how good the food & service was! This is a favourite restaurant now. That was the absolute best French toast I have EVER had the pleasure of eating, the scallopped potatoes are forever a good memory of mouth joy, the rillets were just fantastically balanced & the duck was better than I'd imagined it could be.View more

Let's just get one thing out of the way. We ended up eating there FOUR times. The staff was super attentive, friendly & nice So much of the food is top: -beef tartare with duck fried French fries -croissant with poultry & duck egg -Rockefeller oyster - French toast…oh god! With THICK cut bacon - great wine selection - pickles in ginger to take home -braised beef!! Thank you all making our visits wonderful!View more

I read that this was ranked among the top 10 brunch restaurants in Canada...that must have been some years ago because this isn't even in the top 5 brunch places I've been to in Montreal. This place is always busy but I feel like it's driven by hype more than anything else. Very elegant space that is well put together. The service is good too. I was excited to try the pancakes here, but the variety they were serving at the time of my visit did not speak to me at all so unfortunately had to skip on that for the frittata. MY dish was topped with all sorts of unnecessary seeds, greens & nuts that did not compliment the dish. It's like they were going nuts with the presentation with little thought to how it would actually taste. I enjoyed the fresh juice but it was pricy, which goes for the entire menu in general. The only item I truly enjoyed was the salted caramel french toast dessert, that was a real treat. I would return to try the pancakes in the future though so perhaps my review will improve after a future visit, if it happens.View more

Must visit weekend brunch place in Montreal. We chose to sit inside due to the heat, & the interior is lovely. We ordered an oat milk latte & a strawberry lemonade while we were perusing the menu, & they were brought to us very quickly. Our server was attentive & made great suggestions, including getting one of each of the side options (salad & duck fat fries). My partner & I got the salmon tartare & the beef tartare, both delicious & fresh. We shared the caramel French toast, which was to die for. I have never had French toast that good in my life, & when I come back to Montreal I will be coming here for brunch again!View more

Had our last brunch here before catching our train to Toronto. Beautiful place, sunny patio. Service needs improvement. Took long for them to approach our table to take our order. Food was slow as well, when I followed up they said sorry & they were busy earlier in the morning, but they were not that busy at that moment. Took an hour from being seated to the service of our food. Most dishes were okay but our favorites were definitely the french toast & the salmon tartare.View more

just the best classic brunch you'll have. great vibe inside & out. always busy so go early or late but always worth the wait if you have to. the french toast is incredible & so are any of their seasonal. the steak croissant sandwich i've heard is amazing too. great service & perfect for a meal after a night out or with the girls on a weekend.View more

Brunch menu is good & changes often with some variations on the restaurant's staples. We had the French toast & the pancakes. Food is tasty & portion is good for the price. Since menu is always changing & food is delicious, it's appealing for comebacks. We went on a weekday, & therefore avoided the crowds.View more

This is a nice gem hidden away in Sherbrooke, we came for breakfast / brunch, we made a reservation, it was worth booking as it got very busy very quickly. We had a look through the menu & weren't sure on what to get, we asked for recommendations & we weren't disappointed with what we chose. The naan bread, squash & broccoli & potato gratin with cauliflower were both great, we shared both the dishes & we were pleased with the flavours used. As a treat we also shared the French toast with clove flavoured caramel & this hit the spot after having all that savoury food. Overall a good experience & would recommend others to try the restaurant.View more

Perfect brunch spot. Both pulled pork & braised beef egg sandwiches were mouthwatering & huge. French toast was some of the best I’ve had. I also liked their Bloody Caesar (a twist on Bloody Mary). Super friendly service, feels like you’re part of a family. Nice atmosphere inside. Will definitely be back.View more

L'intention de ce resto est louable, mais le résultat est assez mitigé. Nous sommes allés pour le brunch. En surface, un bon concept de bistro qui sert des plats élaborés pour déjeuner, à prix somme toute raisonnables. C'est dans les détails que ça se gâte un peu.
Nous avions réservé, mais on nous a donné la pire table du resto: dans le chemin de tout le monde avec les courants d'air de la porte qui donnent froid dans le dos, ce n'est pas mon idée d'un dimanche matin réussi. Le resto est organisé de façon peu orthodoxe, avec la cuisine au centre d'un espace déjà très réduit. Côté visuel, c'est super "branché", mais côté pratique, c'est bruyant & tout le mode se marche sur les pieds en se déplaçant.
Le service était correct & poli, mais impersonnel & même parfois indifférent. Rien que 4 factures de plus dans un matin bien occupé quoi.
La bouffe, elle, un peu inégale. Très bonnes frites dans le gras de canard & le toast au porc effiloché gouteux & bien dosé, consistance parfaite. Par contre, l'oeuf à 65 degrés était un bol de liquide plus gluant qu'autre chose. Problème de texture & de dosage ici.
Côté portions, assez copieux en termes de gras & de saveurs, mais plutôt mince en termes de quantité. Je n'avais pas mangé avant d'y aller (un brunch, selon moi, est supposé combler un estomac vide pour un bon bout) & en sortant, j'avais encore faim. Autre détail, le "bol" de latté est servi dans un gros verre sans anse & c'est très peu commode considérant la chaleur du breuvage... Le style, c'est bien, mais je préfère quand c'est fonctionnel en premier lieu.
Bref, un beau concept qui cadre bien avec le style & la clientèle quartier latin/plateau, mais qui a encore des "croûtes à manger" avant de gagner ma clientèle pour le brunch ou le lunch.
