Super endroit. Nouilles udon aux fruits de mer délicieuses quoi qu'un peu trop épicé. Dessert dispendieux & minuscule. Mais bien situé, bon service & ambiance très agréable.
Elizabeth was polite, patient, professional, & kind. She showed care & compassion for her career, guiding us through each section of the appetizer & food menus. Elizabeth approached our table with a smile every-time. We are only visiting Montreal, but if we ever come back, we will be sure to visit once more to have this wonderful service again!

Elizabeth s'approchait de notre table avec un sourire à chaque fois. Nous ne visitons que Montréal, mais si jamais nous revenons, nous ne manquerons pas de nous y rendre une fois de plus pour bénéficier à nouveau de ce merveilleux service !
A few family members of mine swear by this spot & I've always been very impressed by it. The food is delicious & I've never had a bad service experience there. Speaking of which, whenever I'm in town I always try to practice my French with waiters, & my last time here was definitely one of my better experiences with that! Turns out not immediately switching to English when someone is trying their best is actually cool!
Anyway, my only gripe would be that since this place is so popular, it can get very packed, especially with large groups. We sat by the window near the front & there was a group of like 20 people in high chairs arm's length from us. I'm a relatively tall man & felt like Stuart Little surrounded by people at twice my sitting-height.
Kathy was amazing, not my first time here & it never disappoints. Food was top notch & she did very well to accommodate for all our needs. Must go if you're in Montreal.

Excellente expérience au restaurant Kyo ! La cuisine était sublime. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation à 120 $ - conseil : ne mangez rien avant, c'est très copieux. Les sushis & sashimis étaient délicieux, tout comme les dumplings dans leur sauce, les crevettes au caviar, la morue noire qui fond dans la bouche & le dernier plat (boeuf braisé avec queue de homard & légumes). C'était excellent, mais nous n'avions plus de place… nous avons même pris le dessert pour emporter !
Merci à Julien, notre serveur, pour son service attentionné & sympathique. Je recommande sans hésiter.
We stopped into Kyo by chance after our original plans for New Years weekend brunch fell through. The food is outstanding, & the service is just as good!! Julien, our waiter was as witty & charming as he is handsome ;) Seriously though, he is awesome. He made several outstanding recommendations including the pork tonkatsu which was fantastic. If you're in old city Montreal don't miss this spot, we LOVED IT. Thank you, Julien 🤩

- Je suis venu avec une amie qui a des allergies/intolérables alimentaires & nous l'avons mentionné avant même de commander & en premier point important à noter. Malgré cela, la consigne ***n'a pas été suivie*** lorsque les plats sont arrivés. Nous avons été surpris & déçus. Notre demande n'avait visiblement pas été suivie jusqu'en cuisine. Je l'ai rappelé à notre serveur à la fin. Je précise qu'il n'a pas pris de note.
- Les brochettes de poulet étaient inégalement cuites.
- la portion de riz des nigiris (poisson cru avec riz) était minuscule. J'en avais jamais vu d'aussi petite. Le saumon & le thon étaient un peu fades.
Plutôt bonne expérience globalement mais la gestion des allergies alimentaires a été complètement ratée par les cuisines. C'est bien dommage...

I have been here about 10 times over the last 3 years, let me tell you its always consistently amazing. Food spot on & great service, amazing sake selection & servers with great knowledge. Jess has an amazing vibe 10/10 thank you .
C'est mon restaurant favori ! La qualité du service dépasse sans cesse mes attentes. Le maître d'hôtel prend toujours le temps de venir nous conseiller sur les nouveautés. J'adore !
La nourriture était bonne, mais ça a coûté très cher & je n'étais pas rassasiée quand je suis sortie. De plus, la serveuse attitrée à notre table était vraiment désagréable.

Nao se trata de restaurante japonês raiz, somente o sashimi valeu a pena, o karaague de frango parece um teriyaki ou entao um frango xadrez, parece mais tempero chinês do que japonês. O Bento de salmao estava apimentado e com molho chines tambem, o bento de carne parecia um bife frito e cortado com um molho agridoce. No geral o ambiente ate bom mas nao se pode chamar de restaurante japones. E ainda por cima é muito caro, saiu quase CND 300 para três pessoas.
Our son-in-law took us here for a wonderful dinner. We had the loveliest time & a great dinner service. I want to thank all of the staff at Kyo Bar. Thank you.
Nice experience at Kyo. Had dinner & tried a few different dishes. Sashimi was fresh, the rolls were creative. Agedashi tofu was a little too oily but still good. Our waiter was nice & professional.
