Highly recommend! You might passed by a few times & missed it, the same as we did (part of its magic). But the moment we noticed it, we had to try. The first thing is that when you come in you smell, & the smell in this restaurant is so tasty.. that you can't wait to try ;) Everything was delicious & very fresh! Came for lunch & were seated right away Actually insane meal, every flavor was absolutely rich & wonderful Me & my sister shared the Chirashi, salade de pieuvre, croquettes, & mushroom pasta & was the perfect amount of food. The food was definitely good & may be worth (or not) the premium you pay. The ingredients that were used were of the utmost quality but the portions are just way too small. I would have to think that spending 80$ per person (no alcohol) would allow you to at least walk out of there content & not going straight to the sandwich joint 2-3 corners further.Voir plus

Ridiculously delicious. First, it is a small, intimate setting with such good energy & service. I was lucky to rest here without a reservation. I ordered the duck mazeman & it was like fried chicken with delicious dry noodles & ufff it was just so good. There was a waiter & a cook for the whole restaurant & they both did their thing! I had to tip above 20% Really really so so so so so good! Also, the music was good. Just really caring & cautious with the service. I can't recommend enough.Voir plus

A cute little place that I've passed by a dozen times on Mont Royal & never noticed, until a friend in the neighbourhood said we had to try it, his favorite Japanese restaurant in Montreal. We had the sashimi for two (very fresh & tasty, although a little lacking on presentation), & the brussel sprouts smothered (in a good way) in a soy-balsamic sauce. Then we had the wild boar mapo-tofu, very good although the portions were small. Having a little more atmosphere & a friendlier vibe would contribute a lot to this place.Voir plus

The best meal I had in Montreal. We couldn't get reservations online so showed up when they opened & were able to get seats, it filled up soon after. We got the ramen, curry & a salad & even though it sounds simple, the flavors were so balanced & delicious. It's not a super fancy place but the quality of the ingredients & food was on par with or better than a lot of fine dining places. So happy to have tried this place!Voir plus

Very cozy & small restaurant with a chill vibe. Service was on the slower side as there was only one waiter. The food was however pretty good. My favourite dishes were the duck mazeman & the crab mazeman. The duck was very crispy & fall off the bone tender. The noodles mixed with the egg made it very rich & delicious. The crab mazeman had a hint of spicy & the ikura complimented the dish well. It tasted very seafoody & it was a generous portion of crab. Was dissaponted with the chicken wings as it tasted pretty bland (special of the week). The Brussels sprouts were good but nothing out of the ordinary.
