Most authentic pad thai I've ever had in montreal. The bean sprouts were crunchy & the rice noodles were cooked perfectly. The red curry dish was perfectly spicy with a nice portion of rice.
We were craving Thai food after a long day of sightseeing, & this was the perfect place! The food was delicious, & the staff were absolutely great! I would say that the friendly smile & attentiveness of the lady who waited on us is what made the experience truly remarkable (I regret not catching her name). I especially liked the delicious Thai Green Milk Tea, which I had never had (or seen) before, & I highly recommend it. It was nice that I could switch the jasmine rice to sticky rice on my order - just can't have enough of sticky rice! If I am ever in Montreal again, I would 100% make a beeline for this place!

Khao Sand offers a pleasant dining experience with its spacious interior, perfect for both dine-in & take-out options. The servers are ok friendly, not a lot though. The pricing is fair, making it a good value for the quality offered. While the menu has a variety of enticing options, the fried rice, in particular, is good but not exceptional. It meets the basic expectations but doesn't stand out compared to other dishes on the menu. Overall, this is a ok choice for Thai cuisine, especially if you're looking for a comfortable place to enjoy a meal without breaking the bank.
Really disappointed with the food & service. We made a big order through Uber eats on June 6th & it took 2hours+ to get it. First of all, they gave our order to the wrong driver & when we finally got it, all the curries were missing the rice. The panang curry was very watery & the chicken was pretty dry. The noodle dishes looked decent. Not sure if I'll give this place another try.
This is the real deal, incredible food & lovely staff. I had pork dumplings, peanut sauce chicken & mango sticky rice - everything was incredibly delicious, highly recommend, you should come here! - Longan Juice is very tasty too - this was my first time trying it!
I'm totally in love with this adorable Thai restaurant! It's like stepping back into the days of enjoying scrumptious Thai street food on Khaosan Road. The food was absolutely amazing; it was like savoring homemade meals in Thailand. 🇹🇭 I even had the chance to customize the spiciness level of my pad thai & stir-fried basil crispy pork. & oh, the heavenly mango sticky rice for dessert, such a fantastic touch to serve fresh & piping hot Thai authentic dishes straight from the wok. We even got to see the wokhei technique in action! A huge shoutout to the Lady Chef, 👍👍Don't miss out on the Tam thad (mixed combination papaya salad 🌶 sweet sticky with durian & coconut milk, it's so unique & it's the ONLY place in Montreal that serves this. I'll be back againg for sure
Take out so can't comment on the atmosphere but it's a small clean restaurant. The cooking is done in an open kitchen so you can watch them prepare your meal. I had the sweet & sour crispy chicken with Rice & pad Thai. Authentic & good quality & decent servings. In town for the F1 race & went back second time for a meal.
Tasty, authentic & a great value! We were there on a Saturday evening. Ordered tom yum, papaya salad, sticky rice & fried ginger with tofu. Great flavour & the owner is incredibly welcoming. Amazing find on St Denis!
I rarely left google comments but this time 5 stars goes to Khao San Resto Thaï. The food was carefully made & portions were reasonable according to its price. As a passionate cook myself, I've noticed so many thoughtful details in their food (compare to other restaurants in Montreal, you can tell that details make a huge difference in food quality). The herbs, spices, types of protein, are all very authentically chosen & right on the spot👍 their sticky rice were warm-out-of-the-steam. Every dishes shown in the picture is a must try. Worth multiple visits.

We loved the food taste here! Highly recommend the Tom Kha Soup. The basil rice & paenang curry also tasted perfectly flavourful. Will definitely come back to try the other options here as well 😍
Incredible service by knowledgeable server from Thai server. The food comes surprisingly fast & is AMAZING. We tried the papaya salad, the beef salad, the green curry is my personal recommendations. It tatse exactlt like in Thailand. Thai cuisine is so much more than pad thai...please. We also tried the crispy pork with basil fried rice, pad see ew, & tom yum soup
We went for lunch based on the high ratings received. It definitely doesn't deserve the 5s received. The food is the worst Thai I've ever had in Montreal. The crispy roll was the only thing that I enjoyed. The som tum soup was watery, not silky like I'm used to. The stir fry was overly salty, with a strong fish sauce taste & the rice was so dry. The place has no ambience at all. It feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. I definitely won't be going back.
