via LibroLe serveur a renversé de l'eau sur la table & ne l'a pas ramassée. Il nous a brusqué toute la soirée. Il nous expliquait le menu sans aucun enthousiasme sur un ton plus que monocorde. Nous fêtions les 20 ans de mon fils & avons eu l'impression d'être dans une cantine d'école. C'est bien dommage car pour le reste, tout était parfait.

Got the omakase (tasting menu) here. While the food was generally good & the value is unbeatable, I feel like the flavours were not very balanced for some of the dishes. The flavour profile here leans heavily towards sour & zesty. There's a lot of citrus/yuzu & balsamic sauces used. It worked for the early salads & appetizers, but got exhausting towards the middle & I couldn't wait for the sushi for a palate reprieve. My favourite non-sushi dish was the wagyu, which really stood out for its umami & perfectly cooked rareness, although the thick bunch of carrots felt a bit excessive. When the sushi arrived, it did not disappoint. There was a variety of sashimi, rolls & traditional sushi. All were amazing & probably worth the price of the omakase on their own. My favourite was probably the pair of fried makis! Service was good & started quickly but slowed down A LOT the dinner crowd poured in after 7. Come early if you want prompt service & their full attention.View more

La nourriture est toujours aussi excellente, cependant ma copine & moi, trouvons que l'accueil & le service manquait de chaleur.
Notre serveur était professionnel mais clairement, il semblait ne pas vouloir être là. Une serveuse semblait tenir à nous parler en anglais malgré le fait qu'on lui répondait en français. Étrange...
Pour résumer, à travers les années, la qualité de la nourriture servie est toujours aussi géniale. Cependant, à part quelques exceptions , l'ambiance & le service, tout en demeurant professionnel, gagnerait à redevenir une expérience plus engagente & immersive, lire un peu plus exclusive à cette adresse.

My honest review as a Montreal tourist from Toronto:
- Omakase was amazing & would probably be in the Michelin guide, especially for the price so I would say it deserves a Bib Gourmand at the very least
- the service was inconsistent, we had a couple good servers that explained each item & would occasionally check on us & others where they explain everything in french quickly & walk away. We do not speak French so we didn't understand at all.
- the ambiance was weird because for a higher end sushi experience we expected a quieter Japanese style environment but it was bar lounge & social environment which is probably enjoyed by the locals. I would suggest to separate the Omakase experience to the a la carte. This would make the restaurant perfect
via LibroFood was very respectful of the ingredients. Service was alright, dining room was very loud, but it was as expected for a bar. Very very expensive for the result. I've had better sushi for alot less in HK, NY, Vancouver to name a few. Happy I tried, won't go back.

Restaurant loudy & the service was quite slow
via LibroYou only bought the restaurant from Jun, then decided to keep the same formula. You do not have the skills or the products to be on par with the original Jun-i. A real shame. The noise level was off the chart. Worst experience possible. Will not be coming back.
via LibroService not as good as the incredible food. Would've liked to order more drinks if we didn't have to wave down the waiter every time. Other staff bumped into my date's chair without any apology or acknowledgment. Will probably order take out next time instead.
