I'm obsessed with their carrot cake!!! lit's always so fresh, & just sweet enough. & their matcha latte!!! Honestly, one of the best I've had. The combo of the two is pure comfort. If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out-it's one of my favorite spots in the city!

Great cafe for brunch! Highly recommend it. Beautiful decor & ambiance. Excellent service. Amazing food! Generous portion sizes. The menu is very creative. I had the gruau, probably the most delicious oatmeal I've had :)
J'ai découvert ce café-brunch "Janine" & je n'étais pas déçu, l'installation magnifique, l'accueil chaleureux, malgré la file d'attente à l'extérieur par un temps froid une des serveuse nous a servi du café ou du thé. Merci ! Le service parfait, le menu était à notre goût
The menu changed & it's not a good change in my opinion. I was not impressed at all to be honest. It's overpriced for nothing special & the food doesn't taste what the price should be. At 30$ for the plate you'd expect them to give you fruits or potatoes but no. Overall i would've been happy if the food was good qnd the previous menu was better.
Vraiment déçus par notre première expérience ici. La nourriture était bonne, mais le service n'était juste pas à la hauteur. Notre serveuse a pris notre commande, nous a apporté nos assiettes & nous ne l'avons pas revue. On comprend que les rushs ça arrive, mais personne n'est venu vérifier si nos plats étaient corrects, etc… On nous a enlevé nos assiettes & on a attendu un bon 25 minutes avant qu'on revienne nous voir pour nous demander si on voulait payer (on avait nos manteaux sur le dos…). C'est dommage parce que les autres tables semblaient avoir des serveurs présents.

Super café brunch! Le personnel attentionné nous a offert une boisson chaude pendant que nous attendions à l'extérieur, un geste très apprécié. Beaucoup de choix au menu, la nourriture est excellente & le service impeccable. Une adresse à recommander sans hésitation!
Very good place for brunch. Many pretty & tasty options. I've tried many, many brunch places in MTL &, from my knowledge, this is the first that does this scotch egg they do. It was delicious & very cool looking. Everything seems great on their menu & it all seems fresh & varied for everyone's tastes. Atmosphere is really nice in the place & service was good but a tad bit slow.
I see why this is such a popular destination. The food, service & presentation were on point. Despite being busy, the staff helped make the experience an excellent one. The food also surpassed our expectations! I would highly recommend checking out Cafe Janine. 5 stars!
I loved the attention to detail. Food was delicious, & a nice surprise were the cookies our kids were given to decorate while waiting for their food! Atmosphere was really nice, we never felt rushed. Overall a wonderful dining experience.
Un café tranquille pour toute la famille Nous avons visité ce café & en sommes très satisfaits. L'endroit est calme & chaleureux, idéal pour se détendre après une promenade. Les plats sont délicieux, & le service est rapide & courtois. Ce qui est particulièrement agréable, c'est que ce café est adapté aux familles avec enfants, parfait pour un moment de détente en famille.

Well worth the wait! Wow very fun breakfast menu options. Perfectly cooked eggs & something for everyone. You get so much in your plate. I want to go back & try everything!! **Definitely go during the week day to skip the line that wraps around the front door.
Went there with friends. We had a good time. The restaurant seems to be super popular, so be patient before getting assigned to a table. We had to do wait outside, but Janine super kind & was offering hot tea to keep us warm. I ordered « OEuf & Boeuf », the presentation was excellent & it looked so tasty. I was anticipating a tastier bun, but overall il was a good plate.
Fantastic experience. Went for brunch on a Saturday morning & was a little hesitant because of the line, but they brought hot tea to those waiting. Their ability to keep people pleased & have quick service even at their peak busy times was very impressive. Their food & drinks were both instagrammable & delicious, & their prices were fair for the elevated experience.
