I am a very picky person. The food was very good the spices were appealing. I would recommend this place. The staff was very friendly
The platter arrived like a riot of the tropics assembled on a tin drum: thick cuts of jerk chicken, their charred skin lacquered in a spice-dark molasses of Scotch bonnet & thyme, lay smoldering beside a golden fried bun still exhaling whispers of oil & flour. The rice & peas-humble in theory, regal in execution-steamed with coconut & bay, each grain swelling with ancestral memory. Plantains, caramelized at their edges, lounged like sun-baked aristocrats beside a coleslaw so crisp & sharp it might have been composed by a chamber orchestra of cabbage & vinegar. It was a meal, I dare say, not merely eaten but endured-in the best sense of that word-like a pilgrimage through heat, smoke, sweetness, & salt, each bite calling forth some fragment of marooned history & defiant joy.
WOW!! What a gem. Driving by, I caught sight of it. It's a hole in the wall, but had to give it a try. It is a take-out only, no sit-down, but the food is real deal flavor. Had the jerk chicken, which was cooked to perfection, the rice delicious, & the in-house-made hot sauce fantastic. The staff is extremely nice. Wonderful island vibes & delicious food-what is not to love? Everyone should be supporting local small businesses like these. Generous portions & reasonable prices. Going back to have the goat & the oxtail.
Got the large chicken plate & 2 beef patties. Its so good. Best chicken spicy & flavorful
Little Caribbean food joint. Fantastic!
Service was great for me.
Dont mind the curb side appeal. The food rocks!!
You might have to wait a bit. Better order before.
Only takeout.
Honestly, the best chicken i've ever eaten. The food was amazing & well worth the wait!!!!
This was my first time trying Jamaican food & it definitely won't be my last. As a start the service was incredible, you can really tell the people there had a passion for what they did & it really showed in the food. The chicken was juicy, tender, smoky, spicy, & everything you'd want. The amount of food you get for the money is a huge plus too, underneath all that food on top is a huge serving of rice which is also delicious. Overall one of the best hidden gems I've found in the West Island, this is worth a drive from wherever you are to try this place.
Great experience. I recommend calling around 30-45 minutes before to place your order, otherwise the food & service were amazing. Very flavorful & authentic.
The food was delicious, but I had to wait nearly two hours for my jerk chicken & goat curry. I was initially told it would be ready in 30 minutes, so the long wait was really disappointing
Heard about this place from someone & had to come try it, honestly it's really good I would definitely come back, the portions are great & the food is so flavorful.
Call ahead. This place is very busy. The food is good, nice portion size. Great customer service.
