This meal hits every note perfectly. The jerk chicken is packed with flavour, tender, & has that authentic smoky char that makes each bite addictive. Portions are generous, everything tastes homemade, & the quality is consistent. Easily one of the most satisfying Jamaican meals around.
Holy moly! La nourriture était délicieuse, j'ai pu essayer le combo curry goat & jerk chicken avec un beef patty. Tout était excellent! Où que tu sois à Montréal, le trajet en vaut la peine.
It was my first time getting a jerk chicken plate from this restaurant. Very friendly people & food was awesome. I ordered 4 large plates of jerk chicken for myself & colleagues.
Came to Montreal on a whim & I always enjoy finding where the locals eat. Stumbled upon Janette's Spicy Caribbean while deep diving in the Reddit threads. Holy smokes. This might have been the best place I ate at while in Montreal (& I ate at a lot of places). The curried goat was cooked fresh to order & brilliantly spiced. Beef patties were equally excellent. Honestly, the food here was better than some of the meals I had in Jamaica. Staff were extremely friendly & hospitable. They were amused that the first place I visited after having stepped off the plane from Denver, CO was their little establishment. Who would've thought that Jamaican cuisine would be the best thing in Montreal? Do yourself a favor & visit. I promise it will be worth the detour!

As a person who loves food & was blessed with the BEST wife & in-laws a spouse could have who happen to be Jamaican, I was gifted with their delicious food as well! Suffice to say, it *was* very difficult to experience such culinary deluciousness unless either they cooked some, or I went to a resto in LaSalle. Well, I certainly won't have to go that far anymore since they brought me some AMAZING curry chicken rôti takeout today & I will be coming back myself to taste more of their incredible recipes!
Second timer. The jerk chick is the best you'll ever taste. Caribbean at it's absolute best. The wonderful smells in the car when I was driving home made me twice as hungry. Generous portions, friendly service, but call your order in first. Even if you don't, the people in line waiting are always friendly. Well done!!
