Cute little Indian restaurant with a modern flare. Review only pertains to brunch experience. Food was good. Service was okay. Have been here a few times, but this time left a little to be desired. We had a reservation for 10 AM for brunch, right when they opened. We arrived on time. The restaurant was not full, there were many open tables. The hostess brought us to a table in the back by the washroom. I asked if the table with the large comfy chairs or by the window was possible. She told us only if we ate within 1 hour. She kept reiterating that for brunch we could only be there for 1.5 hours, & at those two tables, only 1 hour. These tables remained empty the entire time we were there. We reluctantly took the table in the back by the washroom without this time limitation. For the whole time we were there, they kept jamming everyone in the back by the washroom while they kept the front of the restaurant essentially empty. They literally prioritized restaurant patrons that weren't even there yet over people actually presently in the restaurant. This left a bad taste in my mouth honestly. Our table was unstable, it kept rocking back & forth, so we asked if the waitress if it could be stabilized. She came over & handed me the pieces to stabilize it ourselves. When we hesitated for a moment, she eventually tried to stabilize the table without success. We did it ourselves in the end. Food & beverages came in a timely manner. Cappuccinos were good. Mango lassi is very delicious, but a little pricy at $10. Brunch options were very different & unique. We had the salmon tartine & bene agneau. Very big portions, beautifully plated. If they improved the service & prioritized the guests present in the restaurant who made reservations over people who aren't even there, the experience would be much improved.Voir plus

Amazing ambience- love the vibe- food was very delicious- i was a tourist in montreal - i just checked best indian restaurant & tried this one out - i would say must go everytime you visit Montreal- booking in advance is must - staff was very helpful cheerful- fancy cocktails- manager was very good - he came to the table to check if everything was good. I even took some take away food with me - that night I was traveling back to new york. It is in list of one of the best food I had. I am very foodiee girl. via LibroThe atmosphere was really good although, we we're at the bar & the chairs are way too low for the height of the bar. My boyfriend is 5'9 & was even too low to reach to "bar" so while eating it made us uncomfortable, we weren't sat properly so it made it hard to eat. The entrees we're good, I will say, but the butter chicken lacked tasted - I'd say there was too much tomato, as the first bite tasted like ketchup unfortunately. The waitresses had a hard time speaking to us, no one checked up on us & had a RBF all night lol. Hard to grab their attention too. Thank God, the guy at the bar was the one refilling our water or else we would've been dying of thirst all night with the waitresses. Although, the entrees we're good I'll stick with authentic Indian place's like Bombay Mahal or Punjab Palace if i'm craving butter chicken, chicken tiki masala or any other kind of indian food. Way cheaper & better quality

via LibroFood is always very very good. Its my favorite restaurant in Montreal when I want to eat Indian cuisine. On a side note I am getting through all the main dishes. Some scope to add some more ;) Saag plates would be good :)
Food was good. Atmosphere was awesome. Very good service. I cannot tell whether if the food was very good or not because it was my first time having indian food, but I went there because I was suggested by a couple of indian friends. The cheese naan was amazing. I loved the curry. We also had some chicken masala but I was not a fan, but that's only my personal opinion & taste because too much caraway, otherwise I think the chef did a great job.Voir plus
The food is not too bad, but there is no balance in the way they use spices. They use too much Chili peppers & it kills all the other flavours. Indian food is all about the subtle mix of spices, but unfortunately not there.Voir plus

We went to the Mount Royal location, it is a trendy atmosphere, with nice drinks & good basic Indian dishes. The cocktails are very good, & a must try, there is a large selection. I particularly enjoyed the mademoiselle Rosa which is a vokda base.
The dishes are tasty but are made of basic sauces, a must try for the fresh naan bread. If you like spicy I recommend the Vindaloo lamb, nice texture & nice tangy tase. The Chicken Madras is also to try. The service was good, but got busy towards the end of the evening, out reservations where at 8pm.

The drinks are made by mixologist masters ..their designs on drinks are better than what I've seen at hotel resorts all around the world ...the service is impeccable! We had our delicious dinner & made a little mess with the rice & the waiter even came to clean our table till the last bit of rice was off the table for us to have our espresso martini on a clean table! Now that's service ! Shout out to all the staff at india rosa! The atmosphere & design of the restaurant is just outrageously spectacular! I will return not once but many more times !

They have a vast variety of food & everything we ordered was delicious starting from starters to main course & to desserts. We loved the ambience & the staff was also super comfortable & friendly. Always make a reservation prior to go because this place is always in demand.

Was looking forward to dining at India Rosa, but the experience didn't match up to my expectations. I was visiting from the US, so I made sure to make a reservation ahead of time. When I arrived at the restaurant I was directed to two seats at the bar. I let the hostess know that I had made my reservation for the dining room & she seemed confused & defensive. So me & my girlfriend stood awkwardly waiting in the restaurant to get some direction on what was happening. As it turned out the restaurant made an error & switched our reservation, what bothered us both the most wasn't the error made, but how the staff handled it. While trying to figure out where to put us, another staff member rudely asked us to stand outside of the restaurant because we were in the way (we tried explaining that we were told to wait there but she didn't care) so, we went & waited outside in the 30 degree weather...another staff member noticed & told us to come back inside, they explained that they had messed up & after barely apologizing showed us to a table.
I'm Indian, so I was really looking forward to trying what was described as "modern interpretations" of classic Indian dishes. Although the start to the evening didn't go well, we tried to put it aside & focus on the meal. Unfortunately, the food was just ok. It was less modern interpretations & more weird mash ups of dishes, that weren't always executed well. The aloo gobi had barely any flavor & in general all the dishes we tried weren't spiced well & lacked flavor.
Overall the food was mediocre & the staff were very rude, kindess truly goes a long way. Mistakes happen, especially in a busy restaurant but I don't understand why instead of owing that they flubbed, they acted like it was somehow our fault...? If you're looking for a busy bar spot to grab drinks with your friends try this place - but if you're looking for good Indian food I'd skip.

via LibroIndia Rosa had a great vibe, even on a Tuesday night. Great ambiance, the drinks were fantastic & every single tapas dish & main we ordered was absolutely on point. I actually regret not having ordered more dishes! I am very picky when it comes to Indian cuisine being of Indian descent myself, I find most restaurants in Montreal miss the mark but India Rosa hit the bullseye! My only criticism would be the service. Our waitress seemed to forget about us, we had to flag her down for drinks & the second time around she took my drink order but failed to ask my guest if they wanted to order something as well (they did). I do give grace that perhaps this is a short staffing issue hence still rating this a 5 start experience. Looking forward to dining here again!
