Nous voulions exécuter cette symbiose parfaite entre notre culture indienne et la « Montréalité » que nous vivons depuis plus de 30 ans !

Indian Rosa clearly aims for a top-tier dining experience, & their amazing decor certainly sets the stage. However, our recent visit revealed significant shortcomings that suggest their ambition isn't matched by their execution or management.
Things started off on the wrong foot when our order of raita was mistakenly served as bhartha. While a simple error, it was a precursor to more significant issues with the food itself. Both the butter chicken & saag paneer were extremely sweet, & the overall masala flavor was noticeably off. We asked them to remake the dishes, hoping for improvement. Unfortunately, it seemed they simply added more degi Mirch instead of hari Mirch, resulting in a'meh' taste that did little to rectify the initial problems.
The service further deteriorated when it came time to get the bill. There was a big delay because another table was apparently having an issue paying. What was most frustrating was the lack of managerial support in resolving this. A manager should have stepped in to support their servers & ensure the rest of the diners weren't impacted. This incident highlighted a clear flaw in their management structure, which falls well short of what's needed for a restaurant striving for top-tier status.
While the ambiance is impressive, the missteps in the kitchen & the apparent managerial inefficiencies unfortunately overshadowed any positive aspects of our visit.Voir plus
Somewhere the taste of authentic Indian cuisine is lost till the time food is served on the tableVoir plus
I have to say this is some of the best Indian food I've had in years. It was absolutely unique & delicious. The service was impeccable. I can't wait to go back.Voir plus
I visited India Rosa with a friend for brunch, & as a self-proclaimed eggs Benedict snob, I think I've found my new favorite way to eat it. The cozy atmosphere & unique take on brunch classics had me excited from the start, & the dishes we tried were nothing short of delicious.

In depth review
The Menu:
India Rosa brings an exciting fusion of Indian flavors into traditional brunch dishes. Each plate is beautifully crafted, with bold spices & creative combinations that make you think differently about brunch.
Our Picks:
• Bene Butter Chicken: As an eggs Benedict enthusiast, I was blown away by this dish. The rich butter chicken was served on soft brioche bread, & the addition of cashew nuts, fried onions, Brussels sprouts, green peas, & sorrel sprouts created an incredible mix of textures & flavors. I honestly think I've found a new way to enjoy eggs Benedict-this twist had me hooked!
• Chicken & Waffles: The masala waffles were light & full of flavor, paired with fried tandoori chicken that was crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. The cari & lime sour sauce added a tangy kick, while the spiced honey & cashews brought the perfect balance of sweet & savory. It was a dish that kept surprising me with each bite.
• Rosa's French Toast: Coated in panko crumbs & five Indian spices, this French toast had a crispy, spiced exterior that made it stand out from the usual. Topped with fresh fruit, maple caramel, lime yogurt, & maple syrup, it was a decadent, yet light treat. The flavors melded together perfectly, making it a must-try.
Service:
The service was friendly, efficient, & knowledgeable. Our server was more than happy to help us navigate the menu, & the food came out at a perfect pace. The staff made us feel right at home, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
Pricing:
While India Rosa is a bit on the pricier side for brunch, the creativity behind the dishes & the quality of the ingredients make it worth every penny. We spent about $50 per person for three dishes & drinks, & considering the generous portions & unique flavors, it's definitely a splurge worth taking.
Final Thoughts:
India Rosa offers a brunch experience that's truly one-of-a-kind in Montreal. The combination of Indian spices with classic brunch dishes is bold & inventive. Whether you're an eggs Benedict aficionado or just looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit.
Pros:
• Innovative takes on brunch classics with bold, flavorful spices
• Cozy, inviting atmosphere
• Friendly & attentive service
Cons:
• Slightly on the pricier side, but the quality makes it worthwhile
If you're looking for a fresh & exciting brunch experience, India Rosa will definitely satisfy your cravings. I'll be coming back for more, especially that Bene Butter Chicken-it's a game changer!Voir plus
So delicious! Best Indian restaurant I have been. Expensive but worth it!Voir plus
Awesome brunch spot. One of the rare that accept reservation so that's a plus. You get to enjoy a variety of Indian inspired dishes in a cozy vibe. The portions are very generous & the prices totally fair. The service took quite a while (a little over 30 minutes for 2 people). But I would go back for sure.Voir plus
We have dined here a few times & even celebrated my baby's first birthday at their Griffintown Location & every-time we had amazing experience. Their Food, service, ambience & everything was great. We recommend everyone to try their food as this is the one & only best Premium Indian Restaurant in Town even better than Toronto & Vancouver.Voir plus
If you are looking for typical authentic Indian food=} nah But really liked the atmosphere, very cozy & service was great!Voir plus
The place is cute but tbh the food was just ok. I am an Indian food snob. I might come back for the vibe. Not for the food especially at this price point.Voir plus
Trying to decide if the chicken or lamb korma is my spirit animal at this Indian fusion restaurant... but let's be honest, it's the naan that really completes me. 🥘🐔🐑 #Currykroma #FusionFeast #NaanStopVoir plus
The food is excellent! Really interesting dishes that remain true to North Indian flavours. The portion sizes are also very good. The only issue we experienced was how hot it was, granted it was a heatwave day, but there's no air conditioning & not even a fan.Voir plus
The staff are nice, & food is good, too pricy though! butter chicken is tasty, & garlic bread is one of the best I've tried in indian restaurants.Voir plus
A great place to go for delicious Indian food & cocktails. Staff is very friendly & give good recommendations, however they could be more attentive. Overall a lovely experience.Voir plus
If you are a tourist, this is a good restaurant, but if you want to try good quality & taste of Indian food, it's not a good option. Due to the quality, it's a little expensive.Voir plus
Surprisingly one of the most delicious Indian fine dining restaurant in the beautiful city of Montreal. Visited this restaurant on a recommendation & turned out to be one of my favourite restaurant (After visiting few times). The restaurant has an amazing ambiance that makes it feel more authentic than anything. The staff is polite & friendly. I like it the most as they've accommodated me even at last moment. I'm from Hamilton,ON & never found such food items in GTA or nearby. Definitely a must try. ❤️Voir plus
Hands down not only one of the best Indian resto but Griffintown location is one of the best places in the city period. Amazing food with modern twist, great vibes, top notch cocktails (shoutout to talented Mitch!) & perfect service (manager Kai could teach hospitality masterclass). Plateau location is great too, with cute & cozy feel. 12/10 recommend & now I want that naanVoir plus
This is the best Indian restaurant in the world!!! Absolutely delicious!!! Our waitress Deb was the best waitress I ever had!!! Her suggestions for the food was absolutely amazing & she was so nice!!!!❤️❤️Voir plus
Best food we had in Montreal Possibly Best Indian outside of India we have ever hadVoir plus
The vibe at this place is amazing!! Service is also very good, but when it comes to food, 90% of the Indians would be disappointed with the spice levels ( mainly in curries). We ordered poulet korma & madras poulet. Korma literally tastes like a dessert. We requested to make it spicy before itself , but there was no use. Instead they offered green chilli paste separately, which when added wouldn't even get mixed along! Naans were amazing !! 10/10. Starters were average, the quantity was low. Service : Mr. Sergei served us. He was well aware of all the indian dishes , was the perfect waiter at the restaurant. Not recommended for Indians!!!Voir plus
Delightful ambiance, super nice staff, tasty delicious & well-designed Indian cuisine which are made by an Indian chef. It is not a "bring your bottle" , but there is a big bar with various choices. Definitely will go again! Update: It's been almost 4 years since my first time there, & I've become a client ever since. I always take their garlic bread the soup of the day(lentil) which taste really great, butter chicken with rice, & a lamb stew. Either The curry lamb or Vindalou(spicy). But if you can't take spicy, don't take the vindaloo. For the cocktails , madame Rosa is really good & popular, recently, they have added new cocktails to the menu, The one with the passionfruit & vodka was really good (I don't remember the name) I'm adding its photo here.Voir plus
Wonderful upscale indian restaurant. Food was delicious. Drinks were yummy & the service was excellent!Voir plus
Love it there. Definitely our go-to Indian restaurant in Montréal. The food is great & the servings are generous. I especially like the Palak paneer & Dahl Makhani. Extensive cocktail selection. This place is also great for brunch. The brunch menu is still very Indian, but not too heavy or spicy. ----- I still love India Rosa & go regularly, but we have very poor servcie at our last dinner on Mont-Royal. As per the check, the name was Audrey. Not what we've used to.Voir plus
An above average Indian restaurant. We heard rave reviews & gave it a try, it was good but not even remotely close to the best Indian food I have had in North America. Very pricey for what it was but still the location, service & generally good food managed to right the wrongs. The chicken tikka masala was ginger heavy & too tomato reliant but the bhel & naan were goodVoir plus
Best Indian restaurant in Montreal. Food was so good👍🏼 highly recommended.Voir plus
One of the best indian food I have ever eaten! & also colorful & original! The service was great, we were there with a child, they had a baby seat, a perfect night!Voir plus
No joke, if i COULD eat here everyday of my life, i would wish to live until the end of time. This place is SOOOOO delicious. The staff are SUPER nice. Everything you order will explode in your mouth. If you LOVE Indian food, you MUST come here.Voir plus
When Authentic Indian food matches with French fusion, its not worth a miss. Totally loved the ambience & is worth the visit. Try their Dal & you will become a fan. I look forward to visit this place next time when I am in Montreal.Voir plus
