The shrimp I had was too salty but the sauce itself amazing. The butter chicken I tasted from someone else's plate made me think cans of tomato soup were used for the sauce...
Food was terrific! We ordered garlic naan, lamb vindaloo, mixed vegetable, chicken & everything tasted very good! Food was served on time. Staff were very friendly. Atmosphere was superb! Overall it was top notch! Will definitely recommend & visit when in Montreal again.Voir plus
Ordered butter chicken, they brought us korma chicken & even though I told the waiter that wasn't butter chicken he insisted that it was. We asked to split the bills, but he didn't do so, & also charged us for the korma chicken we never actually orderded. I found 40$ to be pretty expensive for 2 pieces of chicken & half a cup of rice.
Amazing food & ambiance, one of the best Indian food in Montreal. The butter chicken is a MUST!!
We went to the Mount Royal location, it is a trendy atmosphere, with nice drinks & good basic Indian dishes. The cocktails are very good, & a must try, there is a large selection. I particularly enjoyed the mademoiselle Rosa which is a vokda base.
The dishes are tasty but are made of basic sauces, a must try for the fresh naan bread. If you like spicy I recommend the Vindaloo lamb, nice texture & nice tangy tase. The Chicken Madras is also to try. The service was good, but got busy towards the end of the evening, out reservations where at 8pm.
This is the best Indian Cuisine Restaurant in Montreal! I tried Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Non, Hariyali Chicken & Tandoori. Everything is amazing! Loved the Ambience & Service too!
I don't get it. Always packed, beautiful ambiance, great food - but the service both times was lacklustre at best, which is disappointing (especially after stellar, impressive service & food the nights before at Pho Mont-Royal & Nil Bleu). Butter chicken this time tasted too much like Campbell's tomato soup. No one checked in mid-meal, then someone other than the server popped out of nowhere to take our plates prematurely. We felt rushed. Will go back if you're paying, otherwise - moving on, which will be no loss to the owner I reckon.
The food & the service is good.
I liked the place also looks cosy & different.
I saw many people eating the waffle with chicken, it looks so yummy but I couldn't try it because the meat & the chicken isn't Halal.
I hope in the future see the Halal option in the menu.
I will come back sometimes to try another veggy options :)
Thank you 😊
Great experience & service, sitting at the bar, enjoying cocktails & food. The mushrooms & samosas were delicious, & the main dishes (butter chicken & biryani) were true to the tradition 😋❤️
Incredible experience. Everything from the food, the decor, & the service was a 10/10. We had the butter chicken & the malai kofta & they were amazing. New staple at Montréal.
it's my third time there food service & drinks are good wife likes cocktails there but a little pricey had malley shirmip 25dollars for three shirmip they at least give 4 , 2 each , 3 chicken pieces for 20 must give 2 or 4 to share it's fine
The brunch here is excellent; just bursting with flavors! We got the lamb grilled cheese, which was cooked to perfection. The lamb was so tender & juicy. We also got the chicken & waffles which was also divine. Our only critique was with the service. We had to ask for our water glasses to be filled twice, our plates were never removed from the tables. They were just sitting there for 20 min until I finally had to call someone to come remove them. I felt like we constantly had to look for waiters for service. Definitely needs improvement in that area. Overall a good experience, food wise.
We went there for my girlfriend's birthday. Ordered Soups, Samosas, Onion Bahji, Poulet Hariyali, Morue d'islande à la goan (Codfish), Poulet au beurre (butter chicken), Naan breads & Rice. The portions were great for 2 people, probably even a little too much ! The best plate was definitely the Butter Chicken, although the Morue (Codfish) was great also. They gave us a surprise dessert (Gulab Jamun) for my partner's anniversary, which was nice from them.
Beware, it is better to reserve your place, as there was no place available left for walk-in at 6pm.
The only negative aspect of the restaurant was the music level, as it is a bit too high. My partner & I almost had to scream to hear each other lol.
Other than that, it is a very beautiful restaurant, with a mix of modern & rustic decoration. Definitely one of the top Indian restaurant in Montreal, food-wise, place, & service.
One of the places in Montreal you can call home. After much thoughts & juggling the list of Indian restaurants here, we decided to visit India Rosa to satisfy our temptation for garlic naan & chicken tikka masala. I must say, this place does the justice. From that moment onwards, this place has become our go-to place for Indian food. It suits out palate well. I'm counting days to go there again.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing vibe. Great service. Cocktails are above & beyond in originality & taste & visually pleasing. Fresh naan was to die for. Food was OK. Ordered butter chicken & shrimp Khadai. Would definitely come back & order a spicier dish & ask waiter for top sellers!
Great brunch (chicken & waffles) & lattes! Atmosphere is lovely especially the two tables in the middle with the bird cage seats!
nice food,nice decor,nice service!Really love the waffle &chicken & butter chicken!
Everything was amazing!! Will definitely be going back soon! The shrimp tapa was to die for! & the classic butter chicken was amaZing! So so yummie!!
Food is always great & flavorful. Always coming back for their chicken & waffles at the brunch.
Amazing food. We ordered many many dishes & everyone was very happy with the quality & taste of the food. Fish curry, paneer, chicken dishes, & naans were all FANTASTIC!
Excellent service & delicious brunch... especially the chicken & waffle dish
One of our acquaintances recommended this restaurant. Amazing food! One of the best we have had in North America. The flavors definitely took us back to India. Must try Mushroom tandoori, Malai Kofta, Butter chicken, Dal Makhani & Gulab jamun!! Don't forget to try their very creative & wide variety cocktails. Definitely visiting again if we are in Montreal.
The ambience was good & the staffs were very friendly. The presentation of the dishes were appealing. Can understand the reason that since it's for all the people the spicy level is maintained but I would have liked it more spicier ( Especially the Madras Chicken curry ) . Over all I would recommend the restaurant for all.
Great food, great service & beautiful ambiance. Highly recommend the waffle chicken!
We have done a lot of Indian restaurants in our life time (my family & I) & it was the best!
My brother loved the chicken tikka masala! He said it was the best one in the world!! Chicken was juicy, tender & cooked to perfection! He even said he was going to cry on how good it was! (He's 30 years old lol)
The food did not take a lot of time to arrive at our table. We are used to wait for 1:00-1:30 for our food & it arrive 30 minutes later! The food was delicious & served on warm plates! After we devoured our entrees/tapas, they changed our ustensiles & gave us more napkins.
The drinks were amazing, pretty & flavourful!
The staff was great, friendly & really take care of you!
Will be going back for sure!
Chicken kebab was really good..unlike in most places in Montreal
Booking & reservation can be improved..
No over phone booking leads to longer waittime standing
I love this place! Great atmosphere, creative cocktails & excellent food. We keep going beck for brunch because the menu is creative & delicious! The butter chicken eggs Benedict is a must!
Chicken with mint plate was a very very small portion size. kebab roll plate was super small as well.
First date with the hubby as a married couple & we chose to go to India Rosa.
Let me tell you, this restaurant did not disappoint! From the service to food, everything was excellent!
Garlic naan bread was hot, fresh & super tasty. Butter chicken was velvety & creamy. Lamb Biryani was mmmm just the aroma & the smell got me scooping more on to my plate! The samosas were hot & crispy just the way I like them. The onion Bahji were an explosion of flavour & not greasy at all. Every single dish was simply perfection.
The food was simply sublime, flavourful & freaking delicious! The cocktails were a hit! I mean, DAMN! This cocktail hit me hard haha when I drink alcohol, I turn red. Good to know that your restaurant is not cheap on alcohol ;)
We we're literally served by 5 people & each & everyone one of them were kind & super friendly. They made sure that everything was up to standards & they most certainly delivered. It's really awesome to see a diversity of nationalities working together! We made a reservation on Friday August 6th for 5pm. So you know who's working that day :)
The decor is chic & chill. Loved the ambiance! The details on the napkins are really good quality too! I use alot of napkins when I eat at restaurants & tend to ask waiters or waitresses extra napkins but holy molly your napkins are top notch!
I enjoyed every single second at your restaurant. Thank you chefs, thank you everyone!
