The food was incredible, chicken tandorri was so juicy & bouncy XD! The waitress was super kind & was not overbearing. Music was a bit loud at time but not overwhelming & good ambianceView more
I recently had the pleasure of visiting India Rosa in Griffintown for a delightful Father's Day brunch, & I cannot recommend it enough! The experience was nothing short of amazing from start to finish. We indulged in the Bene Butter Chicken, which was an absolute standout. The flavors were rich & perfectly balanced, making each bite a true delight. The presentation was as beautiful as the taste, showcasing the chef's attention to detail & creativity. Complementing our meal were the gorgeous drinks, which were both visually stunning & delicious. The mixologists at India Rosa certainly know how to craft a memorable cocktail that elevates the dining experience. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion - warm, inviting, & filled with a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. The staff were incredibly attentive & friendly, ensuring that our Father's Day celebration was special & seamless. Overall, India Rosa in Griffintown provided an unforgettable brunch experience. From the exceptional food & drinks to the impeccable service & charming setting, it was a perfect spot to celebrate & enjoy quality time with family. We can't wait to return & explore more of their menu!View more
Tasty chicken (butter chicken, korma) & vegetarian dishes. Great service, but naan bread could be better. Overall, if you're craving Indian food, this spot is worth it!View more
They have another location, but we ended here, & we liked it. They have a terasse. The service was great, though a minor mistake. Everything was good, some more than others, like the butter chicken. However, it's a question of preference. To be honest, it's a bit expensive if you want to try several things, but I don't regret it. It's probably best to reserve, especially if you're in a group & going on a weekend. Parking might be difficult. It did notice they said they offer valet parking on their website, I think.View more
Their popular dish chicken & waffles didn't disappoint! Must try. The ambiance was amazing & definitely up there for one of the best brunch placesView more
Brunch was delish. We had the chicken & waffles which was perfectly spiced & sweet & the Salmon Tikka which was my fave. The service was quite lovely & would come again on m next trip. Enjoy!View more
Food was great, chicken & waffle was one of the best!View more

Food & service were impeccable. Portions were great & you know you made a good restaurant choice when even the coffee is fantastic. Strongly recommend for brunch. Chicken waffles were to die for.View more
Great place for brunch. Place was busy & had a nice chill atmosphere. Food was great. Indian twist of classic brunch fare. Ordered chicken & waffles, sweet waffles, butter chicken Benedict, salmon & bagel. Everything was delicious. Service was impeccable. Friendly, attentive & observant. Will definitely come back for brunch. Want to try dinner as well.View more
This is a beautiful dining spot in the heart of Griffintown. While the food is fairly average for Indian food, the cocktails & ambience more than make up for it. We ordered the tiki drinks (I prefer the guru over the sweeter & more tropical bhangra), which were both delicious (like mango juice) & highly instagrammable. We also ordered the beautiful pink Pisco Sour. For lunch we ordered the chicken biryani (decent) & lamb vindaloo (not very spicy).ocllView more
The butter chicken is out of this world - it's like you've gone into food coma, died & gone to heaven & back. India Rosa is the best restaurant experience you'll ever have & hands down the best restaurant in all of Canada! We are foodies so that's saying something because we have gone to many restaurants over the years & nothing comes close to India Rosa. The taste & satisfaction of the dine-in experience is unbelievable. Everyone should try this place at least once & it's a guarantee you'll find yourself returning again & again 😄View more
J'ai été au India Rosa pour un brunch. Super ambiance, service impeccable & la nourriture était très bonne! Nous avons pris le chicken & waffle & des bellinis, I highly recommend both!View more
Overall our group enjoyed the food but for 75$ per person, very limited. Some table did not receive & rice & when the main's came, like the butter chicken, it was really calculated. Our server Emanuelle was exceptional!
& the main complaint from our group was that the music was too loud! People couldn't have a decent conversation.
We were pleasantly surprised by the food, the béné butter chicken was delicious! The ambiance & service was excellent too. I would definitely recommend this place.View more
We had a blast😍😍 Starting with the beautiful interior along with super yummy food🥘 lentil soup Lamb korma & Butter chicken were 10/10View more
Had 3 starters, chicken, lamb & salmon. The same sauce for all 3. Felt it could be more subtle. Not sure the sauce goes with all 3 dishes.
Butter chicken excellent.
Chicken Tikka Massala he'd no taste, chicken was dry. Stomach upset all night.
I am British, it's the number one dish served in England. A big disappointment.
I will go again, just make different choices.
The chicken butter was super delicious had my friend & I licking our fingers,I'll definitely be coming back this time around with my manView more
Very satisifed with the Chicken & Waffles, however i believe you portion sizes for the bene butter chicken could be improved. My friends & I were sharing & it seemed like if you give even a bit away, you lose a quarter of the dish unfortunately.
I came here on a date. Obviously the first thing I did was read the 1 star reviews. I'm not gonna lie I was worried after I read them & the owners responses to some them. But having worked in the restaurant business for almost 10 years I know the game & I know how some clients can be. I also want to mention that I am half South Asian so I am very familiar with the dishes & the flavors as I ate this food growing up & still eat it at home. That being said let me get started with the review.
I'll mention that I rounded up to a 5. My actual rating is a 4.7 which is still phenomenal.
The ambience was great. The layout & decor of the restaurant is very nice. The bar looks fantastic. The bathrooms are pretty cool as well with the giraffes on the wall. The music was a tad bit loud. But not enough that it hindered my night. But be prepared to speak loudly & confidently if you don't naturally. Tbh I prefer the music on the louder side as I don't want to hear the tables next to me which I couldn't.
The service was excellent. I had a reservation & I was on time. My table was ready & we were sat right away by the hostesses.
We had the pleasure of having Adam as our server. He was quick to serve us our water & explained the drink menu to my date which I appreciated as it was our first time. He gave us time to look over the menu & he came back to take our order for our drinks. My date tried one of their cocktails which she enjoyed. The drinks came fairly quick. Adam was also back to take our order fairly quick. Luckily for him he didn't have to explain the food to me. I knew what I wanted. Adam was a good sport & we cracked a couple jokes together. For appetizers we order the samosas which were great & the sauce that comes with is excellent. They are a bit small & 1 order gives you 3, which is an odd number to split. They came fairly quick as well. For the main course we had the butter chicken, chicken Tikka masala, & the Chana masala. I ordered 2 sides of rice which were well portioned. I also ordered 4 garlic naans. The food came in a reasonable time frame. butter chicken was fantastic one of my favorite dishes & this one is up there for sure. The sauce was spot on for the taste of butter chicken. The chicken Tikka masala was also great. South Asians can use a lot of spices & some times make food excessively spicy my family is guilty of that for sure. This chicken Tikka masala was spicy enough but not over bearing (to cater to them white folks no doubt). The chana masala was also very good same critique as the Tikka masala spicy but not over bearing. The only thing for me that I thought could be a bit better was the garlic Naan. For me personally I like my Naan a bit more crisp. The Naan I had was more on the softer side. The taste was great but just a personal preference for me I guess, but imo the Naan should be a bit more crisp. During my meal I wanted to order more samosas. Adam was frequently in his section so it was easy for me to get his attention & tell him to bring another order of samosas. Which, again, came fairly quick. My date is not a big eater so I did have to take things to go. Adam was very quick to pack up my leftovers. We also ordered gulab jamuns for desserts which arrived perfectly. They were warm & w/ just the right amount of syrup. Adam knows the game so he brought me the check without me having to ask him. As soon as he saw my card sticking out of the check presenter Adam promptly got the interac machine. I hope he enjoyed his tip because I enjoyed his service so thanks again Adam!
Overall this is a great place to check out. We had a great time. Don't get scared by the unfair reviews. I have come to the conclusion that those clients were probably not the best & are most likely frequent complainers. You really can't please some people & some people should probably just stay at home tbh. It is a bit on the pricey side but you should know this going in. I would say it is worth to check out. Had a great night thanks again!
Thanks for everything! Love the place & best butter chicken in town!
The service was sub par- the waiter told us that he was sorry not to have attended to table with his full attention as he had a lot of tables to wait on: not a good excuse.
The food- the appetisers were good. The ‘curry' dishes were not good at all! The butter chicken was sweet; not something I expected having seen who is doing the cooking in the kitchen. The malai kofta was not as it should be. The koftas was hard- no ‘malai' element to that dish. The naans were rubbery & heavy. The only dish that we enjoyed was the lamb curry.
When we told the waiter about our disappointment with the meal, he told us that they have 2 options of cooking: classic & ‘white' or made for the ‘white person's palate'. I found this description offensive & unacceptable given that we are in 2023!
What made the experience a four star was the ambiance & not the food or the service! I am not sure that is the intention of the owners, but if it is then they have achieved it...
The tapas were very good, the bhel puri was not really but was tasty. The chicken tikka masala was disappointing using chicken thighs with no real exposure to the spices, the naan was to thin & crusty, no springiness to it. Our waitress, Juliette was a delight & very engaging.
The ambiance & decor are beautiful
The service was very good too
I ordered the panko French toast which was good but overdone & a bit hard the chew. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken & waffles.
Amazing food & atmosphere, highly recommend :) Had the chicken tikka masala & it was the best with garlic naan
Food was good but chicken waffle bit too oily though. Coffee was lovely! nice staff, lovely decor & very chic restaurant. But still bit too pricey for brunch. Two people having brunch is almost $100...that's mad!!
Delicious food & trendy decor, this is one of my favorite restaurants. It's pricey but worth every penny. Service is very friendly staff & the ambient music is not too loud. Will definitely be back there soon.
Recommend the sausages, the chicken Korma & a side of rice & naan
The chicken & waffles are fantastic but the service is always pretty off, we've been to this location a few times now & the service has gone from bad to worse. I came with my family once & when the waiter brought us our meals, my mom asked about the ingredients of one of the sauces that came with her meal (for allergy reasons) the server's answer was "Just try it!" ... During our latest visit, our food came out at different times - by the time I got my meal my partner's food was cold since she was waiting for mine to come out to start eating. That being said, the food is good (if a bit pricey) but I'm not sure we can justify coming back since the service has been an issue each & every time - we were hoping we were just unlucky but this seems to be a shared experience at this location.
