Iconoglace is widely considered a top-tier destination for ice cream in Montreal, celebrated for its incredibly creamy textures, creative flavor combinations, and generous portion sizes. The shop is highly praised for its inclusive menu, which offers an extensive range of excellent vegan and lactose-free options alongside traditional dairy choices. Visitors enjoy the modern, playful decor and the vibrant atmosphere, noting that while the popularity of the location often results in lines, the service remains fast, friendly, and efficient. While some guests find the extensive menu overwhelming or the price point high, the consensus among fans is that the unique, indulgent sundaes and high-quality ingredients make it an essential summer experience.
Iconoglace has firmly established itself as one of Montreal's premier artisanal creameries, & this Raspberry & Pistachio Cake creation perfectly captures why the shop commands a line down the block. Visually, the contrast between the deep crimson raspberry coulis, golden cake cubes, & bright green pistachios set against smooth soft serve makes it instantly striking. The pistachio cake cubes feature a moist crumb with a distinct nutty depth, holding up remarkably well against the cold cream without going soggy. Bright, sharp tartness from the real raspberry swirl cuts cleanly through the sweet, velvety soft serve base, ensuring the flavor profile remains balanced rather than cloying. Topped with a generous dusting of toasted chopped pistachios for essential crunch, every spoon delivers a thoughtful mix of creamy, tart, soft, & crunchy elements.
?This sundae highlights exactly why Iconoglace has built such a massive local following in La Petite-Patrie. Instead of relying on commercial syrups or pre-made toppings, the creamery treats soft serve like a plated pastry, making every coulis, crumble, compote, & cake layer in-house from scratch. Their clever layering ensures the bottom of the cup is just as flavor-packed as the top. Coupled with a constantly rotating menu of seasonal creations & some of the best vegan soft serve bases in the city, Iconoglace delivers a craft dessert experience that keeps people coming back week after week.
We absolutely loved discovering Iconoglace Mile End during our walk around Mile End!
This place is such a fun spot, especially if you're someone who goes crazy trying to choose ice cream flavours & creative combinations like we do The menu is full of unique pre-made creations & honestly… we wanted to try almost everything!
We totally recommend trying one of their signature creations like the'Sunday George Michael' - super delicious, fun, & different from your typical ice cream experience.
The decor is also really cool, modern, colourful, & playful, giving the whole place a great vibe. The staff was very friendly & welcoming, & the location is perfect for exploring Mile End afterward since there are so many cafés, shops, & little places to discover nearby.
Definitely a fun stop for a sweet treat in Montreal!
Hands down the best soft ice cream in town. Iconoglace takes it to another level, not just the taste, but the whole experience. The texture is perfectly smooth & creamy, & the flavors are rich without being too heavy.
What really stands out is the creativity in their cups. Every detail is thought through, from the toppings to the presentation. You can tell they care about quality ingredients & making something unique.
Tried a couple of their creations & both were incredible, perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, & just indulgent enough.
If you're into soft serve, this place is a must. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.
Love their Sundae Iconoglace! Although it was a bit cold & crowded a bit inside, I went today to try their Le Willy Tonka & it wasn't too sweet! They had vegan options & it was a nice contrast of vanilla pears, dulce de leche, & hazelnut brownie with nice textures for every bite! I would recommend coming here as a nice hangout spot with friends during the summer as the terrace season is opening up!

WOW! The most delicious vanilla soft serve ice cream I've ever had. It's not too sweet, it's so creamy & wonderful. I got the Lady in Red Sundae & highly recommend it, but next time I think I'd just get a vanilla cone because the ice cream itself was the highlight. Check this place out!!!!
When vanilla meets blackberry mojito in a perfect swirl, it's not just ice cream, it's a little party on a cone. Sweet, tangy, creamy, & oh-so-refreshing, each bite feels like summer wrapped in art. Proof that happiness really does come with sprinkles of flavor & a swirl of color. #Montreal
