Restaurant Ho Guom a 2 surcussales : 1- Jean Talon Est 2- Brossard.
This is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to so far! The location is strategic along boulevard Taschereau in the south shore plus there's an ample parking space for the customers. The place is very clean & the staff are very friendly, the food is very good. The portion is generous, & there's a free dessert & tea also.
Came from the US & was looking for a good bowl of soup, it did not disappoint. The broth in the pho & bun bo hue was delicious & they gave a huge portion of noodles & meat. Staff is also very friendly. Will come back if I'm ever in the area again!
I think it's one of the best place for Pho!
& Vietnamese dishes are very good & tasty!
en tout cas, it's giving microagression.
it's not the first time having this experience with the service over there. All teeth will be out for a table of white or east asian clients & they will come to yours & the energy they just had will just fade away. Don't get me wrong the food is good lol.
yesterday, understandably they were busy, so we waited like everyone else, but as time went by, we were just flat out ignored. it's funny cause the actively were actively avoiding eye contact, we were standing right in front of the staff as they waved & said goodbye to leaving customers to the point where we could feel their breath on us (to give you a picture of how tight of a squeeze it was lmao), but no updates or acknowledgment of our presence was given... let's just say that the vibes over there are not the same when you're not a desired demographic.
it was flat out rude & they don't hide it. To all reading this & thinking it's not a race thing... think again. Learn where you're not wanted & respect yourself
Our first experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The food was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. The husband-&-wife owners were incredibly warm & kind, making us feel comfortable right away. Even during a busy time, the service remained attentive & welcoming.
We ordered quite a few dishes to try different items on the menu, & every plate was enjoyable. The coffee was also excellent & a perfect finish to the meal. We had a lovely time & would happily recommend this place to others.
