The experience at this restaurant was visually pleasant, but gastronomically it fell short of expectations.
The octopus, although paired with a well-flavored sauce, was not cooked properly. The bread & butter, presented as a standout specialty, felt simple & unremarkable. The alcoholic drink was acceptable, but did not justify its price.
The steak, which promised to be the highlight of the evening, did not meet expectations in either flavor or execution.
Without a doubt, the view is the restaurant's greatest asset, creating a lovely atmosphere. I would consider returning for the setting & perhaps a few drinks, but not for dinner. For the price, one expects a more refined & memorable culinary experience.
Une soirée d'anthologie en bonne compagnie ! Des cocktails raffinés pour accompagner la vue splendide sur le centre ville de Montréal illuminée. Je recommande chaudement cet incontournables qui ne manquera pas de créer un souvenir inoubliable !
Ps : il y a eu hiatus (sans mauvais jeu de mot) le mille feuille n'en comptais en fait que 5, on est plus proche de l'automne que du dessert

Great customer service & good food. We were there with our kid without know they are only 18+ restaurant but they didn't let our evening go to waste. They allowed it & let us have a good time. Really appreciate that gesture!
My friends & I booked the private room. We really enjoyed it! Spectacular view! Great service. Food was great except of the beef. Wish it could've been more tender. We will come back for sure.
Had dinner here last week & everything was exceptional: stunning views, beautiful atmosphere, truly delicious food, & above all, hospitable staff who don't rely on the view or the chef alone to impress you - their genuine hospitality, attention to detail, & warmth elevate the entire experience. Highly recommended.

Hiatus is one of those rare places that gets everything right - which is exactly why I keep going back.
The views are absolutely spectacular & instantly set the tone for a special evening. Food is - beautifully plated, flavorful, & consistently outstanding - & you already have an incredible experience.
But Jessica elevates it to another level. Her attention to detail is unmatched. She remembers preferences, makes thoughtful food suggestions, & guides the table through the menu in a way that feels personal & effortless. Every recommendation she's made has been spot-on - from standout dishes to perfect pacing of the meal. She anticipates needs before you even ask & makes you feel genuinely taken care of.
Enzo also provided an exceptional wine recommendation that paired flawlessly with our meal - knowledgeable & perfectly aligned with what we were looking for - exceptional!!
Hiatus delivers on food, atmosphere, & views - but it's the service, especially from Jessica, that makes it unforgettable. I'll continue to return - & I'll always ask for her.

Nous avons choisis d'y célébrer une occasion spéciale & n'avons pas été déçus. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation & nous nous sommes régalés ! Les plats sont fins, travaillés & tout simplement délicieux ! Le service était attentionné & détendu. & que dire de la vue! J'aimerais y retrouver en été pour souper avec le couché du soleil! Cette expérience restera gravée dans ma mémoire !

Le restau est difficile à situer. Par contre, une fois arrivé, l'accueil est chaleureux & l'expérience culinaire est exceptionnelle.
Nous avons opté pour 6 entrées afin de goûter & on a été ravis.
Aussi, la vue du 46e étage est incroyable.
Arrivez 15 minutes à l'avance. 😉

Food was pretty good however..
For the octopus, sauce tonkatsu was too much & i feel like its unnecessary.. its too salty with the rest of ingredients & it kills other flavour.. especially cucumber sunomono..
The scallop dish: scallop was perfectly cooked however the sauce was splitted.. so thats why i gave 3/5 stars
