I'm so impressed by this restaurant. Ingredients are fresh, wine selection is amazing, & the service is one of the best I've had. They are so accommodating & nice, they also explain everything in the menu & there's a story behind every dish - you can tell that they put a lot of work & passion into every dish. We happened to be walking by with a few of my friends & noticed this restaurant all lit up with candles, it seemed so coxy. We were intrigued & decided to go in. So thankful we did, for it ended up being a real gem. The food was great, service amazing( they went up & beyond to ensure we were not disappointed in any way ) & we really felt like home within no time. Don't pass this one by. You really need to try it!
Wow wow wow. I went in expecting a meal & came out with an entire experience. Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the decor makes you simultaneously miss home & appreciate the country that's welcomed you in. HENI has obviously worked hard to combine the flavours of SWANA & those of Canada perfectly, respectfully paying hommage to the Indigenous populations of both parts of the world & creating a third culture that's arguably even richer. Also, & most notably, THE BREAD WAS SO GOOD.
One of Montreal's most unique additions to the culinary scene of a city with a competitive restaurant market. The food consists of a friendly, extravagant play on indigenous cuisines globally, conceptualized on a beautifully decorated plate, while respecting the roots of each dish. The menu changes based on the ingredients available each season, demonstrating Heni's incredible capability to adapt dishes with local ingredients that are not typically used in the countries from which certain menu items originate. This innovative approach provides a fresh, delicious, & meaningful connection between Quebec & the rest of the world, & creates a path to reconcile cultural differences through food. The service is truly a warm hug; Rami goes the extra mile to ensure that guests understand the concept of each dish. Thank you for this amazing experience!
My recent dining experience at Heni was a true delight. The ambience seamlessly combined modern elegance with a cozy feel. I had celebrated my birthday there & it really was the perfect place. From start to finish, the impeccable service added to the charm of the evening. The food was truly full of delicious flavours. What stood out most was the genuine passion the entire team exhibited, especially Rami was great & so kind! He really took care of me & my friends during the dinner, explaining every dish & whats behind these delicious flavours. They were not just delivering a meal, but a culinary journey, & it was palpable. Heni Restaurant is a must-visit for those seeking exceptional cuisine paired with heartfelt hospitality-a perfect blend that creates an unforgettable dining experience.
Hats off to Rami & the team behind HENI for elevating food from the SWANA region all while highlighting culinary ingredients & traditions both here & there ❤️ The menu is seasonal & changes often. Everything is delicious. Run, don't walk!

Gorgeous interior, impeccable food that was clearly thoughtfully curated Each dish came with a story that Rami share passionately. This is clearly a work of the heart. I loved that the dishes are seasonally curated & conscious of indigenous varieties, the pita for example was a mix of local indigenous grains & ancient grains..& delicious! The kibbeh nayyeh was fresh & almost creamy. The kebab was intoxicating. We had the kibbeh iranien which sent us over the edge with joy. THE RICE PUDDING DESSERT WAS INSANE. All familiar flavors to my Egyptian & Lebanese friends. We felt like we were welcomed into a home & never wanted to leave. They also sport a gorgeous wine list & is likely the only restaurant in MTL highlighting indigenous grape varieties & Palestinian wine. This is my new coup de coeur, a rare gem in the crown of the city. A culinary force to be reckoned with & I cant wait to watch it grow!

What an amazing atmosphere, from the instant warm smiles when greeted at the door to the beautiful decor. Heni truly is something special. The food taught me something new with every bite. Flavors, cultures, & stories being discovered by the spoon full. Amazing food & amazing people, truly a "Must Go" spot.

The food & atmosphere of Heni felt like home. The menu is seasonal, so everything tastes super fresh. Everything on the menu is curated with a lot of creativity, yet there was something so comforting about each & every dish we tried. Needless to say, the service was fantastic & the hospitality hit close to home. We're thankful for Rami, who was incredible at explaining the story behind the concept & each dish.
Absolutely amazing food. So much flavour & surprises in every dish. We had every appetizer on the menu & each one was delicious on a different way. The smoked tuna appetizer was to die for & the confit eggplant was sublime. Even the old standards like the falafel were jazzed up with herbs, adding moistness & unexpected flavour. We were only able to try two of the mains, but do yourself a favour & get the fish chermoula.
The service was excellent & personalized. Can’t wait to go back & try everything else on the menu. .
The hottest new restarunt in montreal! Authentic North African, middle eastern cuisine with a modern twist & quebecois flare. The atmosphere was also impeccable & the service was extremely well thought out & curated. Bravo!
Such a great resturant & amazing food. the staff were very attentive & Rami took the time to explain the story behind each dish. Araprt from the delicious food & great space, the best part is that the team at HENI are presenting familiar & traditional foods in a very innovative & unfamiliar way. Everything we had was very well executed, delicious, & light.
Truly a fantastic experience. Comparable to Michelin star! The food itself is incredible - as a member of the middle eastern diaspora, I can attest to the fantastic flavours & dishes which were reminiscent of home but also honoured québécois ingredients. The braised lamb is an absolute must - completely melts off the bone. The dessert (we had blueberry ice cream in turmeric cake) is also not to skip.
Special shout out to Rami the co-partner who took the time to welcome us & explain the passion & care behind each dish & the restaurant as a whole. You made my partner & I feel like family!
A lovely experience overall & highly recommend to anybody in the Saint Henri area.
