The sommelière was full of heart-really passionate about her work, dialled in tight, sweet as Manishevitz. Each dish evoked Lebanese cuisine with creativity & pluck. Decor was cozy, hip, elevated. A truly wonderful night. They knocked out the park. Recommend highly.
Excellent food, cocktails & wonderful Lebanese wines. I wish the menu had more variety & the chairs are very uncomfortable.
I think it is ok, but not great if you are looking for a Mediterranean experience. We had tasting menu with alcohol pairings. Service is really great. Cocktails were not to my taste, wines were good, great selection of Lebanese wines which was really nice. Food was a little of a let down, I LOVE Mediterranean food, especially Lebanese & Syrian which have amazing flavours, but the one served at Heni was rather bland. It was still good, but not what I came for. Would recommend for 5a7 style dinner but there are definitely better options for an actual Mediterranean experience.
The absolute most amazing Lebanese food in America. What a fantastic experience.
Wonderful creative dishes. Quality presentation & very helpful staff. Excellent choice of Lebanese wines not available through the SAQ. Happy to have returned & made new discoveries each time.
One of the best dining experiences of my life. Noah is a pro at what he does: at the service of others. Dishes were inventive yet respectful & a true homage to where the recipes originate from. Lebanese wine was very well highlighted; some of the best wine I've ever had. There couldn't be a better way to conclude the experience than the atayef. Chapeau !
We wouldn't have been so surprised by the food if we'd known that the chef had previously worked at Pastel. While we like middle eastern food, we don't usually associate it with originality & refinement. Here, classic Lebanese dishes are deconstructed & reinvented. The fish "tagine" had only a few tablespoons of delicious couscous next to a filet which had been cooked perfectly sous vide. We enjoyed the exceptional raw beef kibbeh with their excellent flatbread, warm from the oven. The Lebanese white wine was served at the right temperature & made a satisfying accompaniment. The interior is finished in comforting warm tones. Service was genuinely friendly. & finally, we were surprised how little we spent for the quality of the food.
What an amazing culinary journey we had at this Lebanese-inspired gem! The menu is creative, flavorful & so much fun! The service was excellent , the music was on point & the amazing wine selection elevates the overall experience. It is a dining destination not to be missed. PS: ask for their music room, you won't be disappointed ;)
Gorgeous interior, impeccable food that was clearly thoughtfully curated Each dish came with a story that Rami share passionately. This is clearly a work of the heart. I loved that the dishes are seasonally curated & conscious of indigenous varieties, the pita for example was a mix of local indigenous grains & ancient grains..& delicious! The kibbeh nayyeh was fresh & almost creamy. The kebab was intoxicating. We had the kibbeh iranien which sent us over the edge with joy. THE RICE PUDDING DESSERT WAS INSANE. All familiar flavors to my Egyptian & Lebanese friends. We felt like we were welcomed into a home & never wanted to leave. They also sport a gorgeous wine list & is likely the only restaurant in MTL highlighting indigenous grape varieties & Palestinian wine. This is my new coup de coeur, a rare gem in the crown of the city. A culinary force to be reckoned with & I cant wait to watch it grow!
