Well I kept on seeing this Gino's pop up on my feed & since I love lasagna & Negronis I made the reservation. On entering, the place was hopping with the young crowd I once was when it was my generation turn on the Main. Our female server Lean had the perfect St. Laurent vibe sweet, attentive, knowledgeable with the right amount of tattoos. First my buddy & I ordered 2 classic Negroni's my wife had the one with prosecco & one white wine & all were great but if your driving one Negroni is enough because yippee they are good. The food included entrees of salad( good for 4) that was delicious but the deep fried shrimp & zucchini was outstanding & the portion of both were nice to see in this time of shrinkflation & my buddy had the octopus another hit. So here comes the lasagna & I'm already 90% full but my brain was about to be put on hold because it was melt in your mouth great! Since it was my friends birthday & we were beyond stuffed we shared another hit with another melt in your mouth tiramisu. So in the end all I can say is St. Laurent is back & Gino's is a great night out just come in hungry.
I absolutely loved my experience here! The ambiance was perfect for a date night. We stopped by while visiting from Toronto, & as vegetarians, we were really impressed with the options. We started with the mozzarella di bufala fritta as an appetizer, followed by the eggplant lasagna for our mains. We also tried their special negroni, which had just the right kick. Overall, it was a wonderful experience with great vibes.
Vibes 10/10. We stopped in for a drink & immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. If you love Campari, this is your spot, they have so many different kinds of Negronis to try. The lasagna was fantastic too!
You get a nice vibe from this place the moment you walk in! Very simple menu (a few choices for starters & the main star of the show... the lasagna!) but very well executed! but truly you come here because of the Negronis... so many to choose from... my favorite was the boulevardier (with bourbon)... try it & thank me later!
Great gluten free lasagna & tiramisu (they are very knowledgeable about celiac)!!! Fantastic drinks too, & 10/10 vibe
We really love coming to Gino's for an easy, vibey & relatively affordable date night spot. The quality of the lasagna is amazing, consistent & well portioned. The staff is friendly, the lighting is calm, & it doesn't feel overwhelming or loud to talk amongst people. 10/10!
So delicious & such a great vibe! We shared the burrata, & grilled octopus & focaccia (I'm celiac so I didn't taste the bread but my friends seemed to love it) then I had the gluten free lasagna which was SO SO SO delicious, & their tiramisu is also gluten free… 10/10. While I definitely ate too much, it was impossible to leave leftovers, & was SO reasonably priced! Service was also amazing!
5/5 ⭐? We went on a Sunday evening for our anniversary & it wasn't too packed so the service was very spot on & personal. The vibes were great, the food was AMAZING. The ingredients all tasted fresh & the drinks were spot on as well! We took the sharing special for 2 & could not complain about a single thing. Our unexpected favorite side dish was the focaccia it was PERFECT. The lasagna was the real star but couldn't finish because had eaten a lot. Shoutout to our waiter & the chefs, we will definitely be making the trip to come back (considering I live in Laval)
Excellent appetizers, a suprisingly good lasagna (hello red wine lol) & a pistachio & white chocolate dessert to die for. I understand the chilled vibe but would like a bit more professionalism & consistency in service as my glasses of prosecco were not chilled, our bottle of wine was also served not chilled & the waiters changed several times thru the evening.
But would I go again just for the two-above mentioned items? YES.
P.S. Make sure to order YOUR OWN portion of lasagna, so yummy!
I've been waiting to go there & wasn't disappointed. The service was excellent & so was the food, the cocktails & the vibe. Definitely will come back.
Great little spot with attentive service & a great vibe! Cocktails are all delicious as were the appetizers-definitely recommend the fried mozzarella. Tried both the Gino & Alla norma lasagne & they were both spectacular. Wine list is small but packs a punch. Overall great dinner experience, reasonably priced, highly recommend it!
Good vibes. Good place to take your date to. They have a good list of drinks. I wished the lasagnas were hotter, would make it feel fresher.
Unassuming vibe, delicious food & great cocktails. The service was good, there were (very tasty) vegan food options & they had Negroni options for all palates. Can't wait to return!
the whole place is such a vibe! the lasagna & fried mozzarella were chef's kiss! super friendly service too!
Could be a fun vibe but ours was squashed sitting in the noisy back of the restaurant at a cramped table for two (one of the seats facing the wall) where we could barely hear ourselves talk. Take the name of this place seriously: the only thing they offer as a main course is lasagna (although 4 different types); not an alternative or even a special in sight. We both had the Gino's lasagna. The pasta was very fresh & a good sized portion but didn't wow me. We split an appetizer of tuna tartare which was very small. Server didn't know anything about the very limited wine selection, & seemed pretty detached (or maybe just run off her feet).
Lasagna which is good come by around 3 just tried 1 lasagna. Rally like the match! Vibe is good
Great vibes. Focaccia was amazing. Service was a bit slow. Meat lasagna was too salty
The lasagne was quite soggy in my opinion & didn't taste like it was from a restaurant that specializes in making lasagna...the drinks were good & so were the vibes! Overall would recommend but don't have high hopes on the lasagna.
