got pushed to leave before our 2 hours were up which kinda just diminished our experience. Hostess & server need to communicate better. Server explained a reservation was going to come & we would need to leave soon, she asked if it was okay for us to pay now, but that we had some time left so no rush. that's totally fine, we understand. I specifically asked her if we should get going at that moment, she said no, you still have maybe 10 minutes. Barely a minute after this interaction the hostess comes asking us to leave because the next reservation arrived…I truly appreciate when restaurants honor reservations, but some better communication is required as that just felt inconsistent because we were told we still had some time. & indeed, when we left I saw it had not been 2 hours since our reservation time (6:45pm & it was 8:37pm) .Just unfortunate.
Had ordered a dessert & a latte, by the time my latte came, my friend was pretty much done with her dessert. Thought they had forgotten it since it took so long compared to my friends dessert. Kind of bad timing. Also not the best to leave your clients waiting 10 minutes for a latte if you need the table soon.
Now for the food, lasagnas were good. With a generous amount of parmesan, the burrata was also very good but I found the biscotti/burrata ratio a bit odd. One lil bread more would go a long way here & is not very expensive to add.
So delicious & such a great vibe! We shared the burrata, & grilled octopus & focaccia (I'm celiac so I didn't taste the bread but my friends seemed to love it) then I had the gluten free lasagna which was SO SO SO delicious, & their tiramisu is also gluten free… 10/10. While I definitely ate too much, it was impossible to leave leftovers, & was SO reasonably priced! Service was also amazing!

Serieusement j'en suis pas encore revenue! Je ne me souviens pas la dernière fois que j'ai mangé une lasagne concisderant que je mange sans gluten depuis près d'un an. Je n'ai d'ailleurs jamais mangé de lasagne dans un restaurant auparavant anyway de peur d'être déçue de manger'une simple lasagne' mais JE TE JURE que cette idée c'est RAPIDEMENT déconstruite dans ma tête quand j'ai pris ma première bouchée de lasagne sans gluten au Gino's. C'est pas compliqué c'était un sans faute. J'ai mangé ma portion en 30 minutes pour faire durer le plaisir au maximum. C'etait aussi magique que la pizza sans gluten du magpie! À refaire encore & encore ! L'assiette de burrata était simple mais efficace & la burrata super fraîche. Le tiramisu aussi sans gluten était bon mais sans plus.
A unique & noticeably 70s feeling decor (both in feel & colour palette) surround you at their many intimate tables & long bar seating options. This sets the stage perfectly for the sipping of a selection of smartly executed Negronis & the nibbles that pair nicely with them.
You will find their well curated one-large-page menu has plenty of options to turn your drinking mind to food mode. Certainly their namesake meat-filled or eggplant based lasagnas are memorable as well as amply filling. Another standout, the burrata salad was worthy of remembrance.
Being a fan of smartly chosen menu offerings this place is one to recommend for date night, after work drinks plus a light bite & even larger get togethers with friends or family.
Now that I write this from several nice memories, it makes me want to go back a third time for what ever the occasion. Grazie!
Enjoyed the terrace last night with my best friend & it was just delicious. Did the shared plate option which included 2 appetizers, focaccia, an extra large lasagna, & three desserts. Everything was good. We especially recommend the burrata, the gino's lasagna, & the tiramisu, but everything was extra ordinary.
We had an amazing experience here from start to finish. The food was delicious & the service from Casie & Fré was even better. We had the burrata with focaccia, insalata & Gino's lasagna & each were PERFECT!
Also, Fré recommended the espresso martini & it was the best I've had.

Quelle belle découverte! Tout était parfait de l'entrée (une burrata succulente) au dessert en passant par les lasagnes.
Le service est impeccable, le décor est recherché.
Points bonus : L'espace entre les réservations est parfait, on ne se fait pas presser pour manger & on a le temps de profiter & la musique n'est pas trop forte.
Déjà hâte d'y retourner pour tester une autre lasagne!
Très belle soirée au Gino's! Ce que j'ai le plus aimé c'est le service, les serveurs étaient attentionnés & fins ; c'était lundi soir par ailleurs. Nous avons pris des negroni, l'entrée de burrata (un peu chewy à mon goût) & la lasagne de viande qui était à tomber cela dit. Je recommande, peu cher dans la mesure où s'en sort en bas de 100$ à deux! On y revient, c'est certain!
Great service from the hostess & our first server. The second one was a bit overly attentive. Cute decor. Got the shrimp tartare which was an interesting mix of flavours, the burrata which is always a classic, the special pumpkin lasagna which was not what I expected but was a delicious & unique experience. The semifreddo was nice but a little heavy on the limoncello. The Negroni with the lavender was smooth. The No-groni was a decent mocktail.

Simple menue & delicious food? Hell yeah! I have been four times to Gino's so far & they never disappoint. I love the simplicity of the menu (that's how you know they're really good at what they do) & the freshness of everything that is served. The ambiance is on the calmer side & dim which gives it a nice warm atmosphere. Definitely one of my go to spots. Make sure to also try their burrata - delicious!
Loved this place. The best deal would be having Negroni with lasagna as it's their concept. Attention, Starters are really small! I ordered their burrata dish which was really tasty. I wish I had more crostini in it though. Staff are friendly.

Honestly, I loved it. The burrata was well-seasoned, the lasagna was rich & savory, & I appreciated the generous touch of Parmigiano on top. Plus, the Negronis were balanced, & it was clear that the vermouth used was fresh. But the highlight was the service. Amazing!
Food: we had the salmon carpaccio & the burrata which were fantastic, the burrata was a bit salty tho as well as the all norma (vegetarian) lasagna, salty as well but still good. wished there was more sauce in the lasagna. too much parmesan on salmon carpaccio & lasagna. Service: great service! Atmosphere: a bit too light at first nice when they dimmed the light
I just love this place & so would you whenever you decide to go out for a nice dinner & drinks in Montreal, well this spot should be on your to do list. Omg the Burrata salad & the homemade lasagna were amazing oh & not to forget the Negroni selection that are just perfect.
They were out of the burrata which was a little disappointing, but the service was amazing - we arrived pretty late at night & they did not make us feel like we were being rushed. The atmosphere was very cool. We had the meat & veggie lasagnas & both were so good. They add a ton of parmesan, you don't need to ask for more! Would definitely come back.
Great cocktails, loved the burrata & the salad. If you want a classic piece of lasagna, look no further! Perfect place to go when you don't want to be flipping through a huge menu to decide... it's all in the name 👏
