Our group of 4 remember when St. Laurent was rok'n with the hottest restaurants & clubs & we haven't gone back since the city ruined it by the non stop construction. Well I kept on seeing this Gino's pop up on my feed & since I love lasagna & Negronis I made the reservation. On entering, the place was hopping with the young crowd I once was when it was my generation turn on the Main. Our female server Lean had the perfect St. Laurent vibe sweet, attentive, knowledgeable with the right amount of tattoos. First my buddy & I ordered 2 classic Negroni's my wife had the one with prosecco & one white wine & all were great but if your driving one Negroni is enough because yippee they are good. The food included entrees of salad( good for 4) that was delicious but the deep fried shrimp & zucchini was outstanding & the portion of both were nice to see in this time of shrinkflation & my buddy had the octopus another hit. So here comes the lasagna & I'm already 90% full but my brain was about to be put on hold because it was melt in your mouth great! Since it was my friends birthday & we were beyond stuffed we shared another hit with another melt in your mouth tiramisu. So in the end all I can say is St. Laurent is back & Gino's is a great night out just come in hungry.
Amazing lasagne, great starters & dessert, simply amazing food. The staff is very kind & helpful with allergies. The atmosphere is a little cold & the cocktails, even though they still taste good, are served in hard plastic glasses, which makes the atmosphere less cozy than it possibly could be. Still a great place for dinner, would come back for the lasagna & tiramisu!
So delicious & such a great vibe! We shared the burrata, & grilled octopus & focaccia (I'm celiac so I didn't taste the bread but my friends seemed to love it) then I had the gluten free lasagna which was SO SO SO delicious, & their tiramisu is also gluten free… 10/10. While I definitely ate too much, it was impossible to leave leftovers, & was SO reasonably priced! Service was also amazing!
The concept of doing a few things really well works here. Negroni, lasagna, tiramisu - excellent. Service excellent. Atmosphere relaxed & warm.a plateau gem!
Le tiramisu est aucunement un tiramisu, crème super liquide on dirait qu'il n'y a que de la crème & pas de mascarpone. Du chocolat râpé sur le dessus au lieu du chocolat en poudre pardon ?? & ce n'était même pas des biscuits cuillères utilisés donc rien de ce dessert n'est en lien avec le tiramisu

Serieusement j'en suis pas encore revenue! Je ne me souviens pas la dernière fois que j'ai mangé une lasagne concisderant que je mange sans gluten depuis près d'un an. Je n'ai d'ailleurs jamais mangé de lasagne dans un restaurant auparavant anyway de peur d'être déçue de manger'une simple lasagne' mais JE TE JURE que cette idée c'est RAPIDEMENT déconstruite dans ma tête quand j'ai pris ma première bouchée de lasagne sans gluten au Gino's. C'est pas compliqué c'était un sans faute. J'ai mangé ma portion en 30 minutes pour faire durer le plaisir au maximum. C'etait aussi magique que la pizza sans gluten du magpie! À refaire encore & encore ! L'assiette de burrata était simple mais efficace & la burrata super fraîche. Le tiramisu aussi sans gluten était bon mais sans plus.
Enjoyed the terrace last night with my best friend & it was just delicious. Did the shared plate option which included 2 appetizers, focaccia, an extra large lasagna, & three desserts. Everything was good. We especially recommend the burrata, the gino's lasagna, & the tiramisu, but everything was extra ordinary.

Tout était parfait!
L'entrée avec le foccacia, la lasagne Gino's & celle avec aubergines, wow! Tout était tellement bon!

Petite place très sympa. Service assez rapide & sympathique.
Les lasagnes étaient vraiment très bonnes rien à dire c'était top portion & qualité. Les cocktails étaient bons mais trop dispendieux pour ce que c'est.
2 déceptions néanmoins avec la mozza fritta qui avait dû s'ouvrir avant qu'on nous la serve donc toute plate & gros manque d'assaisonnement.
Le tiramisu a été renvoyé car 10 fois trop liquide il faut revoir la texture même si le goût y était sûrement.

Amazing dinner at Gino's!!! The cocktails were great, lasagna simply out of this world (both the vegetarian & the meat option). Unfortunately the end of our meal was a tad disappointing as the tiramisu was more of a tiramisoup. Thankfully our waiter kindly removed it from our bill, easing our disappointment. Overall a fabulous meal & experience & I will definitely be back!! (Perhaps willing to give the tiramisu a second try 😉) Thank you Gino's, we left with a happy tummy & happy hearts :))

La carte est courte mais efficace. Nous avons pris les olives & les pistaches en apéro.
Ensuite trois entrées : la pieuvre (c'est plus une salade parsemée de pieuvre), nous avons également pris le thon fumé. Très bon mais encore là la portion est petite. & la salade de la maison qui elle était succulente & plus généreuse. Le meilleur plat des trois.
Pour les plats principaux nous avons choisi la lasagne à la viande & la végétarienne (pas la végane). Toutes deux étaient très réussies.
En dessert tiramisu & semifreddo à la pistache.
Le service était mitigé. Autant nous avons eu une EXCELLENTE prestation de notre serveur , autant ce que nous croyons être un busboy n'arrêtait pas de dévisager notre table à la recherche de quelque chose à débarrasser. Comme nous étions installés au centre du resto à chaque aller retour de sa part on se faisait scruter. C'était un peu malaisant.
Aussi en arrivant on nous a dit : vous avez la table pour deux heures. Aucune mention n'était faite lors de la réservation. Après 1 heure 45 nous n'avions toujours pas commandé de dessert & des tables étaient restées libres (je ne sais pas s'ils ont eu des annulations de dernière minute), bref nous sommes restés 3:15 sans se faire expulser. 😆
& finalement la ventilation était peut-être déficiente ce soir là mais tous nos manteaux & notre linge sentaient vraiment beaucoup la nourriture & ce même le lendemain.
Petit restaurant parfait pour une ambiance de TGIF! Lasagne délicieuse ! Extrêmement fondante. Le tiramisu était savoureux mais il devrait y avoir un ajustement en terme de texture à mon avis. Le biscuit trop ferme & la crème mascarporne trop liquide. Je recommande!!!
I came into Gino's for my birthday & let me just tell you, I was definitely not disappointed. The atmosphere, service & food was all incredible. The lasagna was extremely fresh & the perfect size. The prices are more than fair & everything was just so incredible. They have vegetarian & vegan options as well which is amazing! The lasagna melted like butter in my mouth & was just so flavourful & unreal. Their homemade Tiramisu is also incredibly moist & flavourful. This truly is a must visit in Montreal! Thank you to the staff for making my birthday so special! I will definitely be back!

the place is small but so cute, the food is absolutely delicious, i had the tuna tartare, veggie lasagna, & the tiramisu is a must try! the price is reasonable
Super great experience at Gino's. My wife & I both got the vegetarian lasagna & some fun drinks. Drinks were awesome & lasagna was delicious. My wife wasn't the biggest fan of lasagna before Gino's but this experience changed her mind! Service was super fast - almost too fast in that we wanted to stick around for longer because it was so cute. We also got the tiramisu & it was delicious!
Really nice atmosphere! But the food is not that great, most of the dishes are VERY SALTY (especially the salad), the tuna tartare is good but super small 🥲, lasagna & tiramisu are mid, olives horrible but at least the Focaccia AMAZING. On the Negroni part, cocktails were really good
Le sbagliato était flat, on nous a servi un cocktail avec du prosecco qui était ouvert depuis la veille on dirait. Les taralli n'étaient clairement pas frais. Tout le monde à la table les ont trouvé vraiment mauvais (ça goûtait l'humidité). Les lasagnes étaient corrects, tout au plus. On sentait que c'était sortie du congélateur & cuit par la suite, la sauce était assez liquide (on voyait l'eau dans l'assiette). Les pâtes de la lasagne végane étaient pâteuses & il manquait de protéines & il n'y avait aucune béchamel aux champignons comme stipulé sur le menu. Finalement, les tiramisu sortaient clairement du congélateur, un de nos amis a croquer dans des morceaux congelés. Le dessert végane était 4 fois plus petit que le tiramisu, ce qui a provoqué la risée à table, c'était gênant. Bref, je doute qu'on va y retourner & qu'on va suggérer cet endroit à nos familles & amis.es.
What a nice Italian discovery! I have a gluten sensitivity & I was pleasantly surprised to see gluten-free options on the menu. From appetizers to desserts, everything was delightful & reasonably priced. The vegan gluten-free lasagna is delicious & the gluten-free tiramisu is a must. It's definitely my to-go spot this summer!
