The food is always excellent. However, we were seated upstairs (1st time ever), & the noise level was deafening. We were 7 & couldn't hear each other. I don't know how the waiters do it. So, good food, but not a great evening of conversation.

Gibbys was absolutely outstanding in every facet - food, service, atmosphere - nothing left unturned.
The bone-in fillet is out of this world delicious, the most savory fillet I've ever had, & Isabelle's service was outstanding & made our visit so much more special.
10/10 will absolutely be my top restaurant list for life.

Étions des clients de longue date fidèles. Notre dernière expérience était décevante : la viande n'était pas de bonne qualité, ce n'était pas difficile de le goûter, la portion de salade réduite, le service expéditif, trop trop rapide. Seul le lieu a gardé son cachet & sa qualité, le reste en a de toute évidence perdu drastiquement :(

Went to Gibbys Monday April 14 for my partners birthday, amazing service from the second we stepped in. Got sat at Vitaly's Table he gave us the most amazing experience we could've asked for. Great man, great waiter, amazing service & we had an amazing night. I Recommend this location & vitally of course! 10/10. Food was amazing too by the way.

With the new ownership & menu Gibby's has lost its Lustre. The menu is not nearly as varied, the salad has slipped in quality & the service is not the same experienced crew that I loved. The dessert was actually stale. I would recommend RibnReef as the premier Steakhouse. I would only go back if you are looking for the old Montreal experience

Nice ambiance steakhouse near Old Town Montreal. It's an old converted horse stable. Very cozy with fireplaces. My steak dish was okay but not as impressive as I had expected. Very good wine list & attentive service.

Dès notre arrivé dans ce lieu historique jusqu'à la prise en charge de notre serveuse Cynthia, l'arrivé de notre nourriture & la fin de notre repas, l'expérience a été exceptionnelle. L'ambiance est unique, le service excellent & quoi dire de la nourriture! La salade gibbys, buratta, cowboy steak & la patate toute garnie débordaient de saveur! Notre serveuse s'est assurée qu'on ne manquait de rien, du début à la fin, & a même pris la peine de nous prendre en photo polaroid. Après avoir fait plusieurs steakhouse à Montréal, je peux dire sans équivoque que mon expérience au gibbys est de loin la meilleure & la plus mémorable! Merci Cynthia d'avoir rendu cette soirée aussi superbe!

The food was exquisite. I had the 23$ Mac & Cheese to compare to the 2$ ones I make at home. Let me tell you, it was worth it. Service was nice. Atmosphere was a little annoying tho, sitting next to strangers isn't for everyone. Still had a great time. Highly recommend this place, just sit by the window if you don't like to interact with strangers.

Alexa has been very much welcoming, very knowledgeable. 5 stars is not good enough to say she gave us an amazing experience . The drink, the food & the dessert, everything was phenomenal.
