Came here for my mothers birthday. The decor was gorgeous, perfectly reflecting the Nouvelle France history of the building. The house salad is hands down the best salad I've ever had. However, the mains were a bit of a let down. This might've been because of the dinner rush, but the bathrooms were completely trashed. There was toilet paper & hand towel all over the floors. I brought this to the attention of the wait staff & they were very professional & got it sorted out quickly. Overall, wasn't a bad meal whatsoever, but was it worth the steep price tag? For me, it's a no.

My husband & I drove down from Ottawa for our anniversary dinner. We had the absolute honour of being accompanied by Kas. He was genuinely such a gem. Explained every & anything to us. Was a delight while bringing us our appetizers & meals etc. I don't usually leave reviews,but my husband & I were so happy with his service. The food was great,but we'll be back just to see him. Thanks again Kas!

Went there on a whim, no reservation, but they found a spot to dine in upstairs. The service & food was amazing !

Food was 5/5. The bread & pickles to start were excellent. My husband said the clam chowder was the best he has ever had. I ordered 3 lobster tail dinner with Monte Carlo potato & asparagus. My husband had the filet mignon & a lobster tail with the same sides. The monte carlo potato is excellent. Unfortunately we did not know you could get croutons or bacon on your salad as our server never asked if we wanted any. Nor did he offer us a second cocktail or check to see how our meal was. The service was a 3/5 at best. That is generous. It was unfortunate as the other server working the room that night was excellent. What a difference a server can make to your overall experience. We told her we wished she would have served us when we asked her for the bill as our server seemed to disappear.

Our visit to Gibby's was wonderful. If we could give 10 stars to our server, Edmond, we would. He wad great. Food was top notch & the atmosphere was wonderful. The valet guy was super nice as well. All around great evening.

The classic steak house is done right & timeless. The food was impeccable, service was truly quality, & the atmosphere was nostalgic of an older time. If you're looking for a great dinner, come here sometime.

Superbe soirée grâce à Cass qui nous a servi comme des rois. Du début à la fin il a su faire de cette événement une expérience incroyable. Des origines du bâtiment à l'histoire du restaurant il a su nous faire apprendre tout en nous divertissant. Les explications claires du menu & les réponses à nos questions nous très bien quidé à travers les choix variés. 10 étoiles si je pouvais le donne

If I'm being honest, for the price, the experience was not great. I've been to Gibby's before. This time it felt like they were just not trying despite the exorbitant prices. Sad.
