OMG, just OMG ! Now I get it. Fancy? Delicious? The best No no no... I will go with PERFECT for the lack of a better word! There had to be a very simple reason why the high-end of all societies enjoy their dinners here : they want the best there is in Montreal & their budgets will afford 🤪. If you can get past the price tag on the menu, then you got to ask a reservation for 2, for like in 2 months!
The whole experience of it was top. From start to finish Gibbys was truly amazing with their own rich history of the "The Gate" & their location, the entry warm welcoming & greeting , the elegant high-end classy atmosphere with some low volume Sade playing in the background , the top notch most professional server , the best cuts of steaks & all the care to each single little details made it a strong steakhouse pillar in Montreal.
Jeremie made our anniversary dinner one to never forget!!! He was INCREDIBLE!!! His service from start to finish was impeccable, he went above & beyond the expectations we had & we are so grateful we had him as our server for the evening. The food was amazing, & when the steak was not cooked to our liking they had zero problems correcting it. Jeremie even went the extra mile to offer to find me medicine when I had mentioned I wasn’t feeling the greatest. The flavours were spot on for all of the food & dessert was amazing. This was a great dinner, great staff, great location. Would definitely recommend!!!
Ambience was top notch & just the experience I was looking for visiting Montréal from Texas! The food was outstanding, everything I had was delicious which included the Petit Filet Mignon, broiled shrimp, Gibby's salad, the Monte Carlo potato & the key lime pie! I definitely overdid it, but it was worth it. I hate that I can't remember my server's name but she was excellent & very attentive, even when it got busy. She had just come from vacationing in Jamaica if that helps! She was so kind & friendly. Thank you for making my last meal in Montréal unforgettable
Amazing. Simply amazing. It's our anniversary spot. The staff is great, the food is delicious & as a steak lover, this rarely happens but I leave feeling more than satisfied.
The home made ice cream is addictive. The steaks are perfectly cooked, the drink selection is fantastic. The entrées are amazing, the sautéed garlic shrimp is a must.
This might be the best romantic spot for couples. Seated next to the fireplace in the corner. You can escape your busy week & fall in love with the busy ambiance while still somehow allowing your dinner to be so intimate.

The food was good but for a $400 steak dinner (for 2) kinda expected more. Has more of a tourist trap kinda of a feel. Had one table with a crying baby, the other singing nursery rhymes…oh yeah & a guy barfing in the bathroom. Other than that great service & friendly staff.
Found this place by doing a Google decided to go there & was not disappointed it turned out to be an amazing place to eat! The food was spectacular! Highly recommend this restaurant.

The steak was good but the atmosphere was lacking for a $260 dining experience (for two). We were seated in the basement, which could have been quaint but ripped carpet under our feet & having to walk through an adjacent room being used for storage with stacked tables/chairs left the experience feeling more like 3 stars than 4. The service was quite rushed as well. Overall, it was not bad...just not noteworthy. For $250, two people can find much better dining in Montreal.
Rien de wow pour un prix très élevé. Je ne recommande pas le poulet a la kiev & si vous voulez les frites, je recommande de prendre les pommes au four a la place. Service très bien & beau décor du restaurant. Pas de menu pour enfant aussi.
