Gibby's is an absolute classic located in Vieux Port. The building is cozy, rustic & nostalgic. Steak is a must, they will cook to your liking. The portions are big, & the value is worth it. Service is top notch, they are real pros of the industry, thank you Christian! Highly recommend you check this place out.
Best steak I've had in a Steakhouse! Service is top notch. Beautiful decor as well. If you're into meat you'll be pleased. Oysters were delicious as well. Theres variety of good wines.
Nothing was terrible, but nothing was amazing either, & it was so expensive it should have been amazing. Also, it was a beautiful spring day but extremely HOT in the restaurant, uncomfortably so, noted by everyone in our party. Considered leaving because of that but it was already late & wasn't sure where we would find to eat. I took off every layer I could & remain decent, rolled up sleeves, but it was still uncomfortable & kind of spoiled the ambiance which is otherwise pretty.

So happy to leave this review. My ex-boyfriend & I had a reservation at Gibby's & it was such an experience. We arrived, they were extremely busy & I think reservations weren't organized too well, but nonetheless, we were seated & greated by our server Christine. She was incredible, fast, busy, hustling but really incredible. Definitely ask for her service! The food was amazing. Very large portions. Pricey but worth it.. well done Gibby's. Will absolutely recommend it as the best steakhouse in Montreal.
Been to a few steak houses & this one was good. Nothing really stood out or was over the top impressive, It was a well rounded experience overall. For the $, I would go back but minimally, maybe once every couple of years etc.
Great first dining experience while visiting Montreal. Service was super friendly & attentive. Fancy, but not over the top vibes. Meals were very good. House pickles & bread served as an appetizer for the table. Lemon sorbet before the main course to cleanse the palate. Very unique progression of the meal, but was quite satisfying. Do have to note that the atmosphere is very very loud, so keep that in mind. Prices are fair for what you get. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Everything was perfect! I did a diner after my civil marriage & everything went as smoothly as i could imagine. The event organiser were very involved & they took alots of stress away from us through our face to face meetings, emails & phone calls. They made us a personalized menu with our picture & a little word for our guest. We were 35 people & they let us have the whole upstair which lead us to have alots of space by a beautiful fire place. The guests were well treated. The food was amazing ( my best compliments to the chef) The servers were friendly & very hard working. They were dedicated & amazing listeners. I don't think i said thanks enough. We never missed anything. We all want to go back.
One the best places to try good steak. If you are hungry I suggest the RIP eye steak(gibby's cut) which is large & juicy. Try the salad with blue cheese... 👌🏻
Shoutout to our server Kasra ("Kass") who made our dining experience special & much more enjoyable!! First visit & definitely a memorable one. We were assigned a table in the basement dining area which was very nice. We tried crab cakes for appetizers (a must, if you ask me) then halibut & rib eye steak for the main course. Food is great, what more can I say? Service was impeccable & prompt, with amazing recommendations from our server as well as frequent checks on how the evening is going on for us. We got a birthday cake - not a slice of cake - for my wife, & got a polaroid photo taken from us as a gift! Definitely will return! Street parking space will be difficult to find. I believe there is valet parking available. Also, there is an Indigo parking lot close by.
