My first experience here. The ambiance was very pleasant. My waiter Alessandro was a nice & helpful person. The octopus was good but I have experienced much better at 40 westt. The rib steak was up to par & the side were simply delicious. How when I attend a restaurant at pay over 300$ for a couple , I would expect that any waiter pour the wine & water. At no time did anyone pour it. Very disappointed in the service. But I did tip myself for pouring it. Lol Whenever I attend a classy restaurant, the waiters usually share that responsibility. Another waiter saw me pouring the wine & never offered. Sad. That was my only negative experience. Hope the owner reads this post & corrects this because I really like this place. Note: the people that can destroy your business are your employees.

Amazing food, great steaks & oysters! The service was ok, the wait staff was very kind & had great etiquette, but was overwhelmed with their sections, need a bit more people working for it to really nail the service.
My husband & I had a wonderful time there celebrating our 29th Wedding Anniversary. Jean Marc was amazing & is very dedicated to his guests. He made the evening even more special with all his attention to detail & kind spirit.

I have to say without a doubt the best time I've had on a date night with my wife. Just flew in from Calgary. Seated right away. Michael, our server was the BEST!! Not only made us feel welcome, but like we were family. You're very fortunate to have him on your team!! A++ (The rest of the staff who we talked to were absolutely exceptional!) Food was spot on!! From the apps to the mains. Every box was checked for us! Compliments to the kitchen staff!! Knocked it out of the park!! Left very full & very happy!! We will be coming back every time we come back to Montreal! I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting amazing food & an amazing experience!!

After a most disappointing rendezvous at Moishes two weeks prior, I ventured to Gibby's to restore my faith in the art of dining. Good God, man, what an experience it turned out to be! The evening began with a symphony of flavors-the Burrata, accompanied by the freshest peaches & tomatoes, was a delight to the senses. However, the bread was so hard, it could have doubled as a gargantuous monkey fist. But I digress. Next came the French onion soup, a masterpiece of rich broth & caramelized onions that danced upon the palate with perfection. Following this, the escargot, suggested with cheese by our knowledgeable server, was nothing short of phenomenal. Each bite transported me to the cobblestone streets of Paris. The wedge salad, adorned with blue cheese, was a crisp & refreshing prelude to the main course. & before we could delve into the heart of our meal, we were served a lemon sorbet-an exquisite palate cleanser, tart & invigorating. Ah, the pièce de résistance-the fillet mignon. Cooked to an impeccable medium-rare, it was a testament to the craftsmanship of Gibby's kitchen. The side orders, mushrooms that sang with umami & a Monte Carlo potato that was, unlike the oversalted catastrophe at Moishes, sheer perfection. In conclusion, Gibby's is a bastion of culinary excellence. Every dish, a story; every bite, a memory. For those seeking a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, look no further. As J.
