Food was decent, but in my opinion noodles were a bit too soggy. I wanted to have the pad ka prow but couldn't justify the cost for the dish. The restaurant has a really beautiful interior. Service was lacking though. It was not packed, but we had to wait for a while to be served water & to be seen.Voir plus

Our family of four visited for dinner on a Tuesday. We did reserved a table but the restaurant was not busy that night.
The hostess was friendly & welcoming when we arrived, however the server for our table was not as warm & attentive. Nonetheless we still enjoyed our food & the ambiance.
I like that their menu has a variety of Thai dishes & not just the commonly popular pad thai/pad sew. We tried their Sukhothai & Baa Mee Mo noodles, as well as the hainan steamed chicken. Personally the portion was perfect size for me & delicious (not too salty). Though the papaya salad & thai iced tea were just alright, I've had better ones.
Overall it was still a pleasant experience. I'd visit again if I'm in the area.Voir plus

If you come to this restaurant thinking the'vegan' section of the menu is safe, you are sadly very mistaken. Most of the food is cooked in a fish sauce & is not able to be made otherwise, including food marked as vegan or vegetarian. The only food I was comfortable eating was the vegan fried rice, which was delicious & not made with said fish sauce, but having made the reservation specifically for the pad thai & not being able to eat any noodle dishes, I was highly disappointed. The food was great overall but quite deceiving.

We tried pad thai & boat noodles & they were both delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the cocktail because it was too strong & tasted more like a shot but I guess some people might like that :) For drink I recommend the milk tea. Service & ambiance are greatVoir plus

Flavours were ok but our experience was saddly deceiving. After receiving our drinks (that were good), orders were sent to the wrong table, we were placed at a table close to the entry door & were feeling the cold air everytime someone came in for Uber eats even if we asked when entering to have a table at the back (restaurant was half empty, the tables at the back were never taken throughout our 1h45min stay). Our main dishes came at best at room temperature & asked to correct the situation. We were told they would be remade but only to find that they were most likely quickly reheated in a microwave or something (meatballs & prawns were still lukewarm, my plate missing the same prawn I had tasted before asking to correct the situation). Our Pad Thai was a ball of rice noodles stuck together most likely for being waiting on a shelves somewhere. Noticed the staff a second time without correction. Staff seemed completely lost, we changed 3-4 times of servers. Our table was never cleaned of our previous plates from the appetizer or drinks. Would not recommend for the price, there are other great Thai restaurants in the city for this money.Voir plus

Overall pleasently surprised. Location: thanks to the glass roof very bright during day & airy environment, rather cozy. Staff: friendly, but service a bit slow. But overall no complaint. Food: • Noodle Green Curry • Dried Noodle with Pork Balls • Longan Sticky Rice Both main dishes were fragrant. Unlike some reviews that say the food is bland, I think that they were properly seasoned. Thai food doesn't always have to explode in your face with flavours. The dishes had subtle notes of various ingredients, be it the lemon leaves, lemongrass, coriander, roasted peanuts etc. It seemed to me as if it was well balanced, subtle, yet well seasoned, so I can't understand some of the bad reviews. Longan sticky rice was not bad too. Not overly sweet. Longan most probably canned... Overall, they seem to serve dishes which you may not necessarely find in every other thai restaurant, which is nice. They upscale certain classic street food dishes & serve certain dishes which are more common in the north of Thailand. In general, if you want to discover thai food other than green or red curry, pad thai etc. I recommend to check out Garden Room.Voir plus

Great ambiance & cute location. Food was excellent & came at a timely manner. I really recommend the Hainan friend chicken & pad thai. The seafood rad na was tasty also but the noodles didn't stay crispy for long as there was so much sauce. Service was lackluster, they gave us another table's order twice. We also had to wait 15 mins after requesting the bill. Kind of disappointment since the restaurant was quite empty.Voir plus

I ordered Ayudthaya boat noodles & it came in a very big bowl. The taste was authentic as if I was eating this bowl in Ayudthaya. The broth was so good & thick. The meat balls were the best part of it! Very tasty & you will feel the intensity of meat. The beef in the bowl was perfectly cooked & sliced. Then I ordered tapioca & it came with pandan flavor & very thick coconut cream on top. It's such a perfect way to finish my appetite. Furthermore, Thai milk tea was so perfect! Not too sweet & very milky, but too pricy for the small portion of drink. The atmosphere was very cozy & chilling. The opened roof & walls made it even more relaxing to hangout with your beloved ones. The service here was extraordinary. The waitress always made sure my cup of water was full. Le Garden Room is one of the cutest restaurants in Montreal with lovely plant foliage & plenty of natural light. The staff are kind & helpful, especially Anna!:) I recommend the green curry with noodles; it paired well with the Pinot Grigio. Very fair prices too!Voir plus

I got the beef noodle soup, sooo flavorful. My friends all enjoyed their dishes as well (boat noodle soup & the pad see ew). I loved the addition of fried garlic & the spice level was great. We came on a Sunday evening & while busy, they quickly found a table for us out front. Less vibey than in "the garden room" but quiet enough on a summer day.Voir plus

Beautiful restaurant with plenty of light & greenery. Cute patio for the summer as well. My brother has celiac & they accommodated us & showed us a few items on the menu that would be safe for him! The food is excellent - but somewhat inconsistent. I came once when it wasn't as busy & ordered the pad Thai. It was delicious & flavourful. However, I came back again on a busier night & I found it to be a bit dry. The soups are insane - packed with flavour, protein & veggies. Everything a good soup should be. I recommend the boat noodle soup, the Tom yum & the Ba Mee Moo soup. Definitely recommendVoir plus

Gorgeous food & gorgeous place! The scenery was beautiful & outdoors, & the washrooms were quite clean. We went in on a Saturday morning & immediately got seated. We ordered two Pad Thais & the Pad See Ew from their expansive & large menu. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come. The Pad Thai was packed with flavour & perfectly sweet combined with the sourness of the lime. The noodles were a bit soft for my liking, but my friends found it to be perfect! The standout was the Pad See Ew - the noodles were chewy & flavourful, but the kale was tough & hard to bite into. We were served by Benjamin who was extremely kind, informative, & fun! We loved the vibe & cool atmosphere - we would 100% come visit again to try their other dishes.Voir plus

First time I went there, the soup I ordered had improperly-cooked noodles. Second time, another soup - this one was OK but gave me a stomachache afterwards. The macaron dessert is a total waste of money: you get two tiny macarons for 11 dollars. Not even remotely worth it.Voir plus

The food was a serious disappointment - the boat noodle ayuthaya was absolute trash, while my companion's kad prakow (rice with chicken/basil stir fry) wasn't too much better. Cool little hidden Thai gem in Montreal. I came with a group of friends & everyone enjoyed their meal overall. I ordered the Baa Mee Moo noodles (without soup) & it was very tasty. I also thought the price was fair. Though some other items on the menu did have prices that I thought were of less notable value. Overall though, I was happy with the food. It tasted authentic & the portion size was sufficient for me. Though some others did order extra rice. Service was also friendly & without too many delays. Finally, the atmosphere is nice as there is a glass roof & many botanicals throughout the space that give it a nice south east Asian vibe. I would return here in the future. The food is really good there, I enjoyed it a lot. The curry was flavourful but could be a bit heavy depending on a person's taste. The meat in the curry (chicken) was soft, juicy & tender. As for the Pad Thai, the noodles were perfectly done, not overcooked or undercooked, just the right amount of chewyness. The drink we took was the Thai Milk Tea, it's amazing if you like bubble tea. The ambiance was cozy & relaxing, going there when there's sunlight makes a difference since they have a glass ceiling. Service was good too, very fast & kind. It's to be noted that the food size is smaller than a regular meal that someone would eat in my opinion. Nonetheless, I'd recommend this place to give it a try if you like Thai food!Voir plus

We used to eat Thai food at Mae Sri in other location, we could feel authentic experience & taste. However, this branch of Mae Sri is different, the recipe is totally different from the original Mae Sri we visited. The soup of the noodles is very diluted. As a Thai person, i would recommend the restaurant to change the chef or improve the taste to be match with the other branch.Voir plus

Was excited to visit Garden Room on vacation! Had a wonderful time at the upscale Thai restaurant. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us for a bit under an hour & a half before the next group came in. Had read some reviews about a small portion size for the price, but we found it reasonable! Had the Baa Mee Moo, Vegan Fried Rice, Dried Noodle with Braised Beef, Tom Yum, Thai Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk, & Tapioca. The tom yum wasn't overly spicy which was fine for us, & colourful to the eye. Loved the fried rice! I only wish the vegetables (cauliflower & broccoli in particular) were a tad softer & cooked for longer as they were cut in larger florets, which made it harder to eat.
Mango is not in season so we couldn't order the sticky rice, & had the tapioca instead. It was delicious! Helpful service as well, & a dim lit stunning dining space.Voir plus

*** Come again to La Garden room , the second time in a month, fall in love with the soup noodles ! At the end of the meal, add a bowl of Thai steam rice, & have a mouthful after it has absorbed enough soup, spicy & happy, too satisfied!

The bench was very low compared to the table, felt like we were too sunk in especially compared to the people on chairs.
Took the boat noodles & found the noodles to be very overcooked + the beef was extremely tough. Friends enjoyed their food however.

Stopped in for dinner one night w/ my husband, lots of staff busying about but it seemed there was no designated host. We waited a while at the front trying to get someone's attention, & once we did, they were totally lovely & we received great service throughout the experience. The food came out quickly, within 15 minutes of ordering. While tasty, there was very little discernible heat in any of the dishes we ordered, though ours ranged from 2-4 chili peppers on the 5-pepper rating system. My husband's rice was undercooked. The portions were on the smaller side for the price, & even the center of my heap of noodles was maybe a couple degrees warmer than room temp. If we had not been on the tail end of a long day of traveling, we agreed in hindsight we would have given this feedback to wait staff & I feel confident they would have responded graciously.
