beautiful place with lovely food at affordable prices !! we were served wonderfully (Jeanne was our waitress) & she was so kind & sweet ! the food was yummy & unique, & the atmosphere was obviously out of the ordinary. it's a perfect place to meet up with friends or have a date. i will definitely be back !Voir plus

Food was decent, but in my opinion noodles were a bit too soggy. I wanted to have the pad ka prow but couldn't justify the cost for the dish. The restaurant has a really beautiful interior. Service was lacking though. It was not packed, but we had to wait for a while to be served water & to be seen.Voir plus

We're regulars at Mae Sri Comptoir - every time we visit Montreal, we make sure to eat there at least twice. This time, we happened to hear about a bigger branch of the same restaurant & decided to give it a try.
First impression? The space is beautiful. Much more open & spacious than the comptoir, & the menu has more variety, which got us excited to try new dishes. & the food did not disappoint, everything was delicious, & to be honest, I even felt like the flavors were slightly better than the other location.
However, the biggest red flag for us, & clearly for many others based on the reviews, was the customer service. I'm not sure if the Thai lady (possibly the owner?) was just having a rough day, but the attitude we got when we politely mentioned that we were just here for the food & wouldn't be ordering drinks really soured the experience. It wasn't just me, both of my friends felt the same discomfort.
So, 3 stars - & that's entirely for the food. Unfortunately, despite the upgraded space & even better flavors, we'll be sticking with our usual Mae Sri Comptoir where the service has always felt warm & welcoming. The Thai lady there is amazing.Voir plus

We had lunch for two here & the place, food, as well as staff was awesome. Our waiter Mounir was friendly & efficient & transparent regarding waiting time. The cocktails are not stingy with alcohol so it's worth the price. We particularly enjoyed the papaya salad.
Particularly recommended if you are in downtown Montreal - we went on a rainy day & seeing the raindrops through the see-through roof was beautiful.Voir plus

Celebrated our anniversary over the weekend. We had the Pad See Ew, I the beef & spouse the chicken, it was absolutely delicious! The flavors/textures were on par. Also, the service the moment you step into this beautiful cozy "garden", so welcoming by Tom, Simon & Anna. We will definitely go back & try something new on their amazing menu!Voir plus

I am very sorry that after my vacation I go to places that unpleasantly surprise me. I came here last Monday with my friend & the service was just terrible, the girl came very rarely. Despite the fact that there were only three tables. We waited even for glasses of water for 20 minutes. She said something about it being her first day, I sincerely hope it is the last. Oh, they even gave us the check incorrectly, as we asked for, accordingly. I will never come to you again in my life. Horrible. It is a pity that such a beautiful place has such bad service. Beautiful place with delicious food! We had the Set Tum Tad, Thai fried chicken, & shrimp Pad Thai. All three dishes were excellent, made with fresh, authentic ingredients. The service was very friendly, & the waitstaff were attentive. We had a wonderful night!Voir plus

Beautiful restaurant with plenty of light & greenery. Cute patio for the summer as well. My brother has celiac & they accommodated us & showed us a few items on the menu that would be safe for him! The food is excellent - but somewhat inconsistent. I came once when it wasn't as busy & ordered the pad Thai. It was delicious & flavourful. However, I came back again on a busier night & I found it to be a bit dry. The soups are insane - packed with flavour, protein & veggies. Everything a good soup should be. I recommend the boat noodle soup, the Tom yum & the Ba Mee Moo soup. Definitely recommendVoir plus

Gorgeous food & gorgeous place! The scenery was beautiful & outdoors, & the washrooms were quite clean. We went in on a Saturday morning & immediately got seated. We ordered two Pad Thais & the Pad See Ew from their expansive & large menu. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come. The Pad Thai was packed with flavour & perfectly sweet combined with the sourness of the lime. The noodles were a bit soft for my liking, but my friends found it to be perfect! The standout was the Pad See Ew - the noodles were chewy & flavourful, but the kale was tough & hard to bite into. We were served by Benjamin who was extremely kind, informative, & fun! We loved the vibe & cool atmosphere - we would 100% come visit again to try their other dishes.Voir plus

I had one of the most pleasant experience at the garden room! I was bringing my parents for lunch & we were looking for a nice spot that will fill up my dad's Asian appetite. We met the kindest servers. They recommended the super delicious hainan chicken to us! They were super courteous & friendly. We had excellent tasty dishes very quickly. Beautiful place, nice vibe & food was delicious. How ever the bar service took very long, we went as a group of 10 for a birthday celebration for my sister in law & I. The waiter didn't seem to understand a lot of are orders & they brought us little birthday desserts which was nice but they charged us for it even thought we didn't ask for it.Voir plus

Really delicious & fresh food. The restaurant clearly uses high quality ingredients & cares about how they present Thai food. The place itself is beautiful; a very unique set-up which goes very well with the kind of food they serve. I do have some small quibbles with the service. I found it to be a bit too slow & disinterested even though it wasn't very busy. I had to ask the wait staff for water & for menus - which is normally fine but one would expect more attentive service in a place like this especially given the $$ point. On that note - high time that restaurants reintroduce paper menus. I had specifically requested for "extra hot sauce" (I had a pick up order) but I got no hot sauce at all. Barring these quibbles about the service, the food & ambience are top-notch & I would definitely go back again.Voir plus

Very nice restaurant with a garden atmosphere (the name gives it away lol) The service is quite nice & the waitress we got was so patient & attentive. We ordered different appetizers to share & multiple main dishes. We asked for spicy & it was SPICY! My fave are definitely the pad sew, pad kra pao, & fried chicken. The cocktails are beautiful & taste great. Overall excellent experience. We must go back & try the crispy pork belly.Voir plus

The only entree that I wasn't a fan of was the papaya salad, as it lacked flavour compared to some other ones I've had before. But everything else was great!
