Flyjin serves predominantly Japanese fare but also explores flavours from China, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam. The 4-star dining experience has two services, one at 7pm and a second at 9:30pm. At 11pm, there is a metamorphosis of sound, lighting, service and music that redefine Flyjin as a bar. Flyjin has somethingLe Flyjin is a chic Asian Brasserie located in the heart of Old Montreal. Sophisticated and mysterious, it has a unique concept offering on the one hand a restaurant with Asian influences of about one hundred places, and also a vibrant bar where you can find a wide selection of Japanese whiskey, sakes, wines and exclusive Japanese beers. At the stroke of 11pm, the Flyjin transforms itself completely to take on the colors of the night and to welcome a crowd of clubbers in the its underground space. There is a metamorphosis of lighting and sound while the furniture is subtly moved around to allow for a dance floor that will soon be packed with people. From Wednesday to Saturday, Flyjin has much to offer foodies as well as night owls who like being surprised at every visit and who enjoy the beautiful, the good and the new. Whether as a group, a couple or alone, go with the flow knowing fully well that here, things are not always as they seem.

This place is super fun! Came on a Thursday & sat at the bar with Juan. I wish I got to try everything on the menu but what we had was delicious, including our espresso martinis. Then we finished the night with a bottle of sake dancing the night away to house music. I would love to come back & do it again.View more

I'm sure this place is great but the line to get inside at 12:30am on a Saturday in the middle of a snowstorm in February was crazy! We gave up after waiting in line for 30 minutes. The entrance after 11pm is from the side street. There was just a big crowd of people, not organized or controlled. Lots of shoving & pushing. Do not plan this location as an after party, make sure you get in for dinner then stay for when it turns into a club.View more

This is a mixed feeling review... Let's start with the food! It was a delight & perfect in every way! Texture flavour & quantity. This would be a 5 star review for the food. Where it's going downhill for this place is the constant pressure to spend money. We went there with a large group before the hours where it turned into a nightclub. From the start the management pressured us into spending money. We reserved 2 tables for the night club part which was linked with an obligation to buy an absurd amount of alcohol to stay there. The more the night was passing by, the harder the pressure was. The door man pushed us to stay in our boot, staff was rude pushing people to get everywhere. All that being said the atmosphere was still nice. Beautiful people between 20 to 35 on average. It's a nice place if you're looking to spend a lot of money on overpriced booze & be treated like garbage if you don't ;)View more
