We tried this restaurant in the middle of the day, & it's a perfect spot for a quick bite. They offer lots of vegetarian options, which is why we chose it. The sandwiches are very juicy, but don't worry-they have a cute handwash area in the middle of the restaurant, so it's easy to clean up. The place is neat, clean, & mess-free. Overall, a great experience for a quick & satisfying meal.
Staff members are cool & welcoming
This is the best falafel sandwich I ever ate in my life. Actually, one of the best sandwiches I ate in my life. Its that good.
I really enjoy their falafel. It taste like home. The falafel is a Middle Eastern & their sandwiches & fries are mind blowing. It's one of my favorite spots when I visit Montreal.
If you're a fan of falafel, you need to try the spots out
Solid falafel sandwiches & bowls at a pretty affordable price. I absolutely adore falafel & other Israeli street food, so I was pretty excited to see this Montreal classic while wandering around St. Viateur! Their sandwiches & bowls are massive & packed with a generous helping of veggies & falafel, & I appreciate that they also offer a small / half-size version of their sandwich for those who want a little less food or aren't feeling as hungry. The falafel was a tiny bit drier than I'm used to, & it didn't have the most flavor on its own, but it was phenomenal with the other components of the salad. The schug is a requirement, & their fries are also tasty, but not a must-try. Great spot overall for a quick, casual lunch.
Came with our neighbours, whom never eaten at Yoni's. We were very disappointed to have our sandwiches cold! I have never ate a cold falafel or Sabich. Never.
The menu itself is one that reminds me of my time in Israel. However, upon asking for the sabich eggplants & falafel balls to be warm, I was told sternly that they are served cold at falafel Yoni, however they would make an exception to reheat them this time. I just want to clarify that these sandwiches are traditionally served warm, & I've received them this way the previous times I've been here. Unfortunately, the cold attitude of the woman making the sandwiches was not appreciated & made me feel unwelcomed even though good money was spent eating here. I hope next time will be a more positive experience, & that these issues will be addressed as I was not the only one speaking of a cold sandwich. Update: The manager reached out & remedied my concerns. Thank You Daniel!
Small but tasty flafel sandwiches in Mile end. The choices of food are very limited
Fresh & delicious falafel sandwiches, great consistency from one visit to the next. Also they do a great job of branding. Yoni's is always a good idea.
Absolutely delicious sandwiches! Generous amount of toppings in the pita, & the falafel was fantastic. Their spicy sauce is amazing & adds a great kick.
Sandwiches are ice cold, which is bizarre. Taste-wise: it's missing something, inauthentic. Service is... awkward. Feels like you're bothering them. This place is *big* alright.
As a middle eastern person who grew up back in the middle east, I have extremely high standards for middle eastern food. These is by far some of the most well made sandwiches I've had in my entire life. Try the falafel & the eggplant sandwich as well.
Très bon sandwiches Falafel, assez copieux, & un prix très raisonnable, je recommande.
