This place is good for a quick bite. I've tried both the full pita & the half pita, & I can honestly say the half pita is more than enough for most people, it's surprisingly filling.
The falafel balls are outstanding: crispy on the outside, light & flavorful on the inside. The whipped hummus is smooth & creamy, making the perfect topping & tying everything together. The pickles too. If you enjoy a bit of heat, just let them know you like it spicy. They will kick it up a notch & I'd say it really elevates the falafel to another level. Very good for the price.
BEST FALAFEL IN TOWN! & don't get me started on their Zaatar fries & their spicy (zhug) mayo 😍
19$ for tasteless schnitzel hardly 4 pieces of chicken very small sandwish! It was cold also! What a dissappintment nothing like the pics they post on insta. I asked for it not spicy & still it was spicy!!
Was not expecting some of the best Pita Bread & Falafel in Montreal! After cycling many kilometers by the canal, it was a welcome respite to grab some of the tastiest food in Atwater Market. Highly recommended! Got the fries & the falafel sandwich I asked for extra spicy & it was perfect.
Since it's trying to replicate Israeli falafel I'll be judging purely based on that.
Falafel itself was barely warm(should be hot), pita was fridge cold (should be freshly baked) & cut open almost all around, so everything was falling out of it. Schug not spicy at all, to the point where my wife who can't eat any spicy foods - was drinking it.
& there was of course no free tehini no add as you go about eating as you have in Israel.
Overall probably on a level of low level falafel in israel.
LeFalafel Plus+ does better homage to proper Israeli falafel.
Oh em GEE! Got the falafel pita & the zaatar fries with spicy mayo (do not miss out on the fries & mayo! so good!) So delicious, Best service ever, nicest employees with great music taste! They were so polite & nice, I asked their names so shout out Jacquelyn, William & Emily, you made our dining experience even better! recommended that spot to all my friends & family!
Do not sleep on the zataar fries - they are next level. If you're worried about the spice level, get the spicy sauce on the side.
Absolutely delicious sandwiches! Generous amount of toppings in the pita, & the falafel was fantastic. Their spicy sauce is amazing & adds a great kick.
Got the Fallafel in pitta with spicy hummus. Really nice fallafel & not too greasy or burned. The hummus was really nice & the balance of filling was perfect. This would be a 5 star meal except for the fact the dill was overpowering slightly & the pitta was undercooked.
First time trying this hidden gem & I was highly impressed. I ate the spicy Falafel & I wasn't dissapointed. The portions were generous & the Falafel was freshly made & tasty. Staff is friendly & overall I enjoyed my experience. I'm glad I discovered this restaurant, looking forward to try the Sabich on my next visit.
