Review Summary

Emeraude de Bangkok draws mixed feedback from diners, with some praising fast service and solid, well presented dishes while others find the food basic or not authentically Thai and note uneven seasoning. On busy nights, especially weekends and holidays, service can lag, conversations are hard due to noise, and delays in delivering mains have been reported. A number of reviewers appreciate the ability to bring their own wine and the generous portions, with meals described as tasty and the staff sometimes friendly and accommodating, though this is not consistent. The atmosphere is generally clean with a simple, strip mall vibe, and takeout is often highlighted as convenient with good value, but concerns about pacing, limited Thai options, and occasional unfriendly service persist.

Just found out of this hidden gem in Dorval. 15 minutes from my house. Good service. Had the special for 2. Won Ton soup, Peanut Butter Dumplings, General Tao chicken, sauted vegetables & rice. You can bring your own wine. Easy to park. I will definitely return.

Great food, the coconut soup is fantastic (it's an appetizer). I had the Vermicelli as a main, it was fantastic & filled with chicken & veggies.

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. My chicken in peanut sauce was bland. Service was very slow. Be prepared to wait close to an hour for your main course. A small bowl of rice is not included. Someone at our table was charged $15 for a small portion of sautéed vegetables. I won't be going back.

Over many visits, I have had the pleasure to try their tom yum soup, mango & papaya salads, green & red curries, lemon chicken & fried rice. I have always been impressed by the quality of their ingredients & the depth of flavors for each of those dishes. It's also not everywhere in MTL that I've been served properly cooked glutinous rice with my curry. Definitely would eat again.

This is my go to "affordable" take out szechuan restaurant. The general Tao is good, the sesame chicken is even better, & the chicken fried rice is nice. We prefer takout over eating in. The service is good, & you can byob (depanneur right next door if you want a beer with your meal). The ambiance is OK, the inside is a little run down. Parking is difficult at meal time hours, there simply isn't enough space for the strip mall.
