Great nonchalant atmosphere, it's close to the theater so, it's a must with friends before the show. They did have some vegetarian options.
The resto is Mexican themed so you have to like tacos, burritos, quesadillas, mescal drinks, with some hot sauce & so on. You can always ask for changes & they will kindly do so. Good service.
We came to El Gordo for an early dinner & sat at the bar since tables were fully booked. Usually we prefer a table but we really enjoyed our time at the bar. The service was great, friendly & attentive. My gf had the portobello quesadilla & I had the grilled chicken burrito. The food was really good & the beer refreshing on a hot day. We'll definitely be coming back.

We stopped by this place on a last minute reservation & loved it ! Really gorgeous decor on the walls 😍 It was super crowded but the staff was super nice & friendly with excellent service ☺? We had the Barbacoa / Lamb tacos & the Barbacoa / Lamb burrito & it was really delicious ❤? Cannot wait to go back to this awesome 11/10 Mexican restaurant & try other items on the menu ! UPDATE: Went for brunch & had coffee, mimosas, nachos, quesadillas, avocado toast, Huevosrancheros & it was super delicious !
Very good burritos & friendly staff & service but I was really turned off by a 16 dollar beet & goat cheese salad that was so small & stingy, it was absurd for the price. It's a shame, as the place has decent Mexican fare & a nice terrace.
I have had mexican food for over two years now & I have never seen a restaurant serving two tacos per plate. The cheese in the nachos wasn't melted & had a very weird taste to it. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl & I was surprised to find that the rice was not very good. Overall, I wouldn't say this is one of the best mexican joints to have food. The servers forgot giving us water although multiple requests were made. However, the atmosphere is very nice.
Went there for a late lunch & the place was quiet, not crowded (perfect for us with a baby & stroller), music not too loud & service was very nice & friendly. The cocktails & food (we had the margaritas & burrito bowls) were 10/10. Wilk return to try their tacos for sure.
Staff was very friendly, nice atmosphere. Food was okay. Maybe I ordered the wrong tacos, but the pulled pork one was cold & lacking in flavor. The rest of the table enjoyed their fish tacos & burrito.

Même en plein froid quel plaisir de manger un bon burritos ! Le personnel est accueillant & la décoration digne d'un restaurant mexicain. N'hésitez pas à demander de la sauce pimenté pour réchauffer votre soirée !
Hey there! Just wanted to quickly share my experience at this restaurant. It was awesome! Great value & a super fun atmosphere. Our server, Sarah, was really pleasant too. We ordered burritos & they were amazing! Plus, there were so many vegan options that were both plentiful & tasty. Highly recommend checking it out!

Delicious chips&guac & mohitos.
Only vegan options were the chips & a veg burrito with no cheese. The burrito was pretty good.
Pricey pricey. 70$ bill for appetizer, meal & 3 drinks (not very big).
