We stumbled upon this landmark restaurant just walking around lost from all the construction in the city. The restaurant was busy, but we didn't wait to be seated at the bar. The sandwiches are gigantic piled high with smoked meat. Even the kids meals are giant portions! The servers were great & attentive, & the price is reasonable given the amount of food served. If you didn't make it to Swartz's, try Dunn's instead. In the heart of downtown & great ambiance!

One of the best smoked meat & poutine in Montreal I've tried. My favourite is Combo Smoked Meat Sandwich that you can substitute fries to poutine & 2 people can share. Make sure to order the middle fat smoked meat, super tasty & melts in mouth
Je ne suis vraiment pas un amateur de viande fumée, mais une fois n'est pas coutume, alors que nous voulions faire différent. Ma surprise fut d'y trouver un menu complètement revampé, loin du classique sandwich viande fumée, pain de seigle, moutarde & pickles! Juste pour l'ambiance, la salle à manger vaut le détour! Merci!
Great menu. Food comes out quickly. Somewhat of a Montreal icon. Reasonable prices. Hours have changed. Years ago it was a 24 hour operation. Today it's 11 am - 5 am so it is closed 6 hours of the day but I certainly don't blame them. Prices have held up good over the years.
We had a fantastic lunch here at Dunn's! We ordered the large combo & upgraded the side to onion rings which were really yummy! The smoked meat is divine, so were all the other dishes we ordered (mozzarella sticks & chicken salad). Highly recommend coming here!
This place has it all. You can just feel the Vibe before you walk in the door. While the food & service are simply fantastic. Folks around me were raving about the pizza here. Many were ordering it. I of course ordered the smoked meat sandwich. Next time I'll try the pizza. My Smoked Meat sandwich was absolutely delicious. & the place itself was just oozing with atmosphere. Not a big place but definitely a must go & try if you have not already. Thank you so much. My first visit to Montreal & Dunns will not be my last.

Le service etait excellent! & le smokemeat etait parfait. Note à moi-même ne pas reprendre le smokemeat léger sans gras, c'est sec.... j'ai préféré la version plus grasse & donc plus tendre que j'ai volé dans l'assiette de mon conjoint....
The food, was great. Loved the size of the portions. The service was also great. Came around to always check on me was a bonus as well & showed great care. I will say however only 4 star on the atmosphere is because you can tell the floors were quite a bit run down.
