The food quality is degrading... Got 2 smoked meat sandwiches, they were vere dry. The level of fat was not as asked during the order. Used to be a good place for smoked meat dishes, last 2 orders were disappointing.

It's not often I get an opportunity to visit Montreal. Had a business trip there this week, & only had time for one personal meal & I wanted good local smoked meat. A colleague out of our Montreal office recommended Dunn's as it was close to the hotel, & I have to say, I was beyond impressed with their service, & the quality of the Reuben we got. After a long flight from Calgary to Montreal, with a near three-hour delay, this was our first stop upon arrival & it was a fantastic welcome to Montreal. The meat was perfectly juicy with the right fattiness to complement the texture & flavours - incroyable! Not to mention a properly done coleslaw that I haven't had in a while. It was so good that before flying back to Calgary, I popped in en route to the airport to get two sandwiches to bring back to Calgary for my wife. The staff was very accommodating in deconstructing the sandwiches & packaging the meat separately to avoid the bread getting soggy. My wife was beyond ecstatic & thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches when I arrived home. I promised her I would bring her to Dunn's in person whenever we find ourselves out east again, & it will for sure be the Laval location! Well done Team Dunn's. I can see why you've been in business since 1927! Merci beaucoup!
I wish i took pictures. The bad: i ordered the smoked meat super combo & I asked for Onion Rings instead of fries. I was charged $4 more for the Onion Rings & when i opened the box at home there was literally 7 onions rings in the box. I figured for $4 MORE i would get a decent amount of onion rings. So not only was I not discounted for no fries (which is part of the price) but i was overcharged for 7 onion rings. So I paid $32 for a sandwich, a slice of pickle, the smalles coleslaw I have seen in a while & 7 onion rings. Never again Dunns... The good: sandwich was amazing as usual & stacked high. Staff was nice. & the food came out quickly. I love Dunns Smoked meat but this pricing has gotten way out of control.

J'ai été agréablement surpris du restaurant! De l'intérieur comme de l'extérieur son style année 70s va vous charmer dès le premier coup d'oeil. À l'intérieur on peut y voir des belles photos laminées au mur de la chaîne de restaurant lorsqu'elle a débuté. J'ai reçu un excellent service & très rapide! J'ai même été surpris lorsque j'ai reçu mon assiette, je croyais qu'il s'était trompé de table tellement c'était rapide hahaha! La nourriture était excellente! Le restaurant offrent de très grosse portion même pour une personne comme moi qui est un bon mangeur... Si vous n'aviez qu'un seul plat à essayer, je vous recommande sans aucun doute le sandwich Reuben! L'un des meilleurs sandwich smooke-meat que j'ai eu l'occasion d'essayer 👌🏻
Je suis une fanatique de ce resto bien avant le Covid, depuis 2006 environ. Quand je demandais un sandwich extra maigre la viande ce défesait tout seul & tombait dans l'assiette, j'adorais. J'y suis retourner, il y a 2 semaine tard le soir, toujours aussi achalandé 👌🏻 Mais mon smoked meat netait plus le meme, les tranches restaient en tranche (extra maigre) Excellent service Rapide & que dire de leur POTAGES DE PATATES & fromages, échalottes, dans une sauce crémeuse.😱 moi qui deteste les salades & potage de patates c'est le seul endroit ou je m'en régale 🤤 VOUS NE POUVEZ PAS NE PAS GOÛTER AU POTAGES !!! ☺️👌🏻💥
Best place for smoked meat sandwiches in Laval. I used to go the original Dunn's on Ste-Catherine street in Montreal in the 80's until it was sold. Although the atmosphere will never be the same, the food is just as good & fresh tasting. The servers are kind & courteous.
About a month ago I ordered chicken club sandwich. It was very obvious chicken had gone bad . It looked & felt like cream cheese & terrible smell. When I called to bring it to their attention their answer was you must have got a bad batch. They said the manager was not available & that there was nothing they could do for me. I was so disappointed! I would order quite frequently. You can say I was a regular customer.
I decided to give them another chance & tonight I called to order again. I reminded the person who answered the phone of my experience from a month ago & he truly sounded like he couldn't give a damn. He said the same thing that I got a bad batch & there was nothing he could do. So I canceled my order. This is not the Dunn's I remember.
I was there yesterday with a friend,ordered smokedmeat club medium,my friend ordered Reuben's lean ,after 20 minutes we got our plates my friend plate was lean as he asked for, my plate i noticed it was lean,called the waiter & told him ,he said he will change it,but the plate cameback in less then 5 minutes & it was the same plate lean ,my friend had started eating he's sandwich,at that point i didn't want to make a fuss ,it wasn't the end of the world,so ate my sandwich & left the last tringle of the club sandwich,called the waiteress & showed her that it was lean,she said ill tell the manager to come & see you,the manager never came,we asked the bill we paid,she asked if she came the manager i said no,she said she will show the left portion to the manager,on our way out i got the manager & told her about the situation, & said you never came to see me ,her answer was but you ate your sandwich , isaid
C'Est pas mal..j'y suis allé pour le lunch. On à mangé le classique sandwich au smock meat .Très très bon! j'aime aussi le fait qu'on nous à demandé si on le voulait maigre ou moyen. Les portions sont grosses. Le service est rapide. C'Est pas la grosse affaire mais pour un lunch c'est très bien. Je vais surement y retourner.
