I had the small smoked meat sandwich, medium fat. The meat was good, the fries were ok. The pickle & the coleslaw were a bit too salty.
Overall, it was good.

Hit Dunns again this week for the usual smoked meat sandwich, fries & latka!
Medium fat.

I enjoyed Dunns 50 years ago when Myer Dunn would stand outside the restaurant on St. Catherine's street & invite the bar crowd to stop in for coffee & cheesecake.
Now we go to Dunns on St Martin in Laval. Myer is long past, but the smoked meat is every bit as good as ever.
My go to meals is a large sandwich, medium fat, cole slaw, fries, black cherry soda, & of course... World famous strawberry cheesecake!
For sure, a meal to be ordered rarely with a nod to the waistline. For me, Dunns sandwich & cheesecake is Montreal! Highly recommend.

We visited Dunn's with a softball team & all of the parents, so it was a very large group.
Orders were taken within a reasonable amount of time, & the kitchen was very efficient to get our orders out
The menu is huge, with something for everyone.
My husband ordered the smoked meat sandwich, & I had the smoked meat club.
What you don't see in the photos are the best pickle & a delicious bowl of slaw under the mound of fries.
Parking was plentiful.

SO disappointing. Got 50$ of takeout for a small sandwich & a platter. The sandwich has small hairs in it, how to keep your appetite after that? The platter had such a small amount of meat, 90% fries. As another reviewer said, they aren't giving proper portions for what you are paying for. Two stars for the meat being tasty but thats it.

Initially I went for the smoked meat but the waitress didn't want to accommodate my need so no choice to take something else. Indeed, I asked to have only the smoked meat by the Lb in a plate without bread, fries etc but the waitress didn't accept & didn't even try to propose an alternative. She said that you could get Smoked meat by the Lb as it was only for takeout but not dine-in which is absolutely ridiculous & doesn't make sense. I took the hot dog which was 100% beef & a cheap option considering that I removed the bread & didn't touch the fries. Overall, nothing special & nothing wow so I don't think I will ever come back to this spot. This is also the reason why I didn't take any pictures or videos, not really worth the time.
For someone interested in their Smoked Meat, I don't really recommend the place since their menu is not flexible at all.

I had lunch at Dunn's Famous & I really enjoyed my meal, I took the "Super Combo Smoked Meat" & it was delicious! The staff were friendly & the service was quick to get our meal. Very clean & organized, great atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for great smoked meat.

Tried the take out menu large smoked meat sandwich fries & coleslaw with dill pickle. The large sandwich was stuffed with a good serving of meat flavour was very good. It could have used a bit more mustard, but that's me. Fries were good & hot pickle good & crunchy,coleslaw good too. Staff were friendly & food was ready pretty quickly.

Food was decent & good for the price. I'm likely just spoiled on smoked meat having eaten at places such as Katz's Deli. Service was awesome though & our server was very friendly.

Ordered the reuben sandwich it was excellent. Portion was large. Coleslaw was great. I couldn't finish the fries. Will definitely be back

The service was the best I received in a very long time & our waitress was of speedy Gonzalez & yet amicable at the same time. My buddy said let's do smoked meat & I haven't done smoked meat for ages. It was closer to a corned beef in some ways, but it was still a very nice cut & very generous amounts along with the sort of deli trio kind of combination as we ordered soft drinks. I think if I remember it came with fries. A very deli-esque environment & very active. . I'd say that it beat the dens in terms of deli environment compared to the one in Hawkesbury Ontario which was nicely set up but didn't have that deli experience feel . Cool restaurant. Fast service & really handy. If you need a fast lunch, this is an okay place for sure. Sure. & if you get that waitress then you'll be impressed as well. .

I wish i took pictures. The bad: i ordered the smoked meat super combo & I asked for Onion Rings instead of fries. I was charged $4 more for the Onion Rings & when i opened the box at home there was literally 7 onions rings in the box. I figured for $4 MORE i would get a decent amount of onion rings. So not only was I not discounted for no fries (which is part of the price) but i was overcharged for 7 onion rings. So I paid $32 for a sandwich, a slice of pickle, the smalles coleslaw I have seen in a while & 7 onion rings. Never again Dunns... The good: sandwich was amazing as usual & stacked high. Staff was nice. & the food came out quickly. I love Dunns Smoked meat but this pricing has gotten way out of control.

I was there yesterday with a friend,ordered smokedmeat club medium,my friend ordered Reuben's lean ,after 20 minutes we got our plates my friend plate was lean as he asked for, my plate i noticed it was lean,called the waiter & told him ,he said he will change it,but the plate cameback in less then 5 minutes & it was the same plate lean ,my friend had started eating he's sandwich,at that point i didn't want to make a fuss ,it wasn't the end of the world,so ate my sandwich & left the last tringle of the club sandwich,called the waiteress & showed her that it was lean,she said ill tell the manager to come & see you,the manager never came,we asked the bill we paid,she asked if she came the manager i said no,she said she will show the left portion to the manager,on our way out i got the manager & told her about the situation, & said you never came to see me ,her answer was but you ate your sandwich , isaid
