Montreal is now home to a new destination for aspiring pizza makers and food enthusiasts. AVPN Canada School, the Canadian branch of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, offers training programs for both culinary professionals and home cooks looking to master the art of authentic Neapolitan pizza.
Professional courses cover every step of the process, from selecting certified ingredients and preparing the dough to hand shaping and baking in a wood fired oven, all following official AVPN standards. Introductory workshops are also available for anyone interested in learning the fundamentals.
The school is led by Mirko D'Agata, Executive Chef of the NO.900 group and winner of the 2026 Pizza Maker of the Year title at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas. Through hands on instruction and a commitment to preserving traditional techniques, AVPN Canada School is helping develop the next generation of skilled pizzaiolos in Canada.
