A beautiful place for spoiling yourself or others. You can take out some delicious French pastry, or eat inside in a beautiful dining area.
We had the elegant Omelette Florentine, a delicately light omelette with spinach & gruyere& tomato, & a delicious & massive Salade Niçoise. For dessert, we've had the Napolitain, Eclair crême Chantlly, & Opéra cake. Their croissants are wonderful too.
Service is of course fantastic, friendly, & attentive. A real treat.Voir plus
Perfect. Very good croissants. Fancy box. Great atmosphere.Voir plus
J'ai pris un croissant framboise pistache à presque 10$ a emporter omg pas de goût trop gras trop sucré, mouillé au final je n'ai pas pu le finir je ne le recommande pas, je n'ai pas goûté autre choseVoir plus
High-end good. Loved all kids of bread that i got, especially baklava croissant & chocolate éclair. But it's a little bit pricy.
Fantastic experience with friends.
Generally speaking my Dijon burger is not enough Dijon mustard. The meat patty has the blood taste which I don't like. I normally have medium rare steak, however that blood taste from minced beef is not pleasant & especially it is a $40 burger.
However my friend has this Benedictine over fillet Mignon is very good.
The dessert is must have! We had the chocolate caramel croissant & the mouse rocher. The crispy croissant along with caramel is fantastic. the mouse rocher is a bit sweet, but perfect when matched with an Americano.
The waitress & waited are very polite
However the hostess are ok.
The dining area is a bit small which is crowded.
Will come back for amazing dessert!Voir plus
Magnifique ambiance, très bon service, brunch généreux, desserts & croissants sublimes. Rénové avec un très joli décor. Bien hâte d'y retourner!Voir plus
I heard French exchange students were saying this place is very authentic, so I went to try their pastry. It's absolutely the best I've ever had, I especially loved their croissant & flan, simple & delicious. They also have another type of pastry with various fillings (e.g., caramel, pistachio, chocolate) also tastes great!Voir plus
Very cute & cozy atmosphere, we went there for brunch & I ordered the "québécois" the meal was so bad that I was shocked, the eggs were dry, the fruits were not fresh. We then ordered oat lattés that were good, the croissant & chocolatine were also 3/10. Do not recommend at all.Voir plus
Food is good but too expensive. 32$ for a ham & cheese croissant with a salad that looks like the leftovers of the kitchen, is that normal? Service is very good though.Voir plus
Duc de Lorraine offers a delightful escape to France without ever leaving the city. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, with charming decor that instantly sets the mood for a Parisian experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the pastries. Their croissants are buttery, flaky perfection, & the selection of desserts is nothing short of exquisite. Pairing these with their rich, smooth coffee makes for a divine treat. Service is warm & attentive, adding to the overall experience. While prices are on the higher side, the quality & authenticity of the food justify it. Highly recommended!
A childhood favorite. The best croissants in Quebec & Ontario combined. A real authentic French experience. So glad they now offer shipping some of their delicacies.Voir plus
I buy birthday cakes from this pâtisserie. I also was there for soupe! It is an overprice but delicious place to go but most importantly It has beautiful cakes & croissants. Just recommended if you have money & you dont know what to do!!Voir plus
Came to Duc de Lorraine for brunch. Food was delicious! My sister & I split Avocado toast, a salad, & a croissant that had dulce de leches filling i believe. Our server Claudia was so nice & the staff were super attentive especially when we needed refill on water. Love the outdoor seat area & they have tons of pastry selections inside!Voir plus
Must try experience in Montreal, nice staff, luxury vibe, delicious croissantsVoir plus
We traveled all the way from Ontario to try their square croissant & I must say that it was all worth it. Souna greeted us & helped us & Iris took over. They were both amazing. Iris was very welcoming & friendly. The pastries were delectable, exquisite & heavenly!!! 😍🔥 Would I drive again to Montreal? Absolutely 💯Voir plus
Searching for delicious pastries? Duc de Lorraine is your place! I fell in love with the raspberry cream filled croissant & the macarons. Perfect brunch spot with an awesome view of the oratory!Voir plus
The croissant cookie was amazing. The tiramisu latte & hot chocolate were pretty good too. Just that the price range on the description should have been $$$$ or $$$$$ not $$. These 3 items costed almost $50 with tax & tips.Voir plus
I was really excited to try the place but I was a bit disappointed. The staff is friendly & the pastries are tempting & presentable. They do have the viral pastries like the cookie croissant. It is also kids friendly, they provide crayons for them to draw on the table paper. We ordered a butter croissant ($5.25) & pistachio New York roll ($11.25). However, the taste was below average & it was overpriced almost double the other cafes & bakeries. Also, the dine-in prices are higher than the take out prices. The pistachio decoration & filling were disappointing & tasted artificial. It seems they use artificial flavoring & coloring for them.Voir plus
Andrew was an amazing server! The food was delicious. I had the fillet mignon Benedict & the dulce de letche croissant. Everything was great, I would recommend it!Voir plus
Bakery Duc de Loraine offers a delightful array of French pastries & breads, known for their authentic taste & quality. I rave about their croissants & specialty cakes, making it a must-visit for pastry enthusiasts in the area.Voir plus
I just returned from my long weekend trip to Montreal & am back home in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario & I am compelled to write this review & send a Special Thank you to "Mo" (Mahomet), my wonderful server at the Fabulous Duc De Lorraine!!!! I spent my mornings being pampered at this delightful Bistro with an amazing array of scrumptious pastries, sandwiches & beverages. As a Guest, you can choose to dine inside the Bistro or outside on the patio which offered scenic views of the Observatoire & a small park lined with tables & chairs along side the Parkway under the shade of the trees. I choose the patio & indulged in a Flat Croissant & on another occassion, the Mille-Feuille creme patissiere & also treated myself to the Croque-Monsieur sandwich complimented with a side salad which was a match made in heaven! All while I enjoyed sipping on a Cappuccino & also sampled the Cafe Latte. Unfortunately, my spoken French is not at the level I would like it to be, but the staff were accomodating & "Mo", heightened my overall experience with his genuine kindness, care, thoughtful suggestions & welcoming sense of humor! I have already made plans to return to Montreal in the next month just so I can revisit the menu at Duc De Lorraine, which I am confident will not disappoint!!!!! Merci Beaucoup mes Amies! Until next time.............Voir plus
The pastries were outstanding. Been wanting to try to croissant roll for a while now, & it did not disappoint. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area for lunch as the food the waiters were carrying looked amazing. I give the pastries a 9.2/10Voir plus
The pastries are a must try. Their croissants remind me of the ones I had in the south of France. If you're visiting the Oratory & you're looking for a coffee & pastry stop, Duc de Lorraine is your go-to 👌Voir plus
What a cool place with amazing pastries! The best croissants we had on our visit, from the regular croissant to the flavored croissants! It was quite busy but everyone was courteous & warmed up the pastries so we could enjoy them outsideVoir plus
Paris Brest was tasty & crunchy. The raspberry croissant cube was massive, like it's going to take me days to get through it. It is delicious though.Voir plus
