I recently celebrated a birthday at Dorsia in Old Port, & the entire experience truly exceeded all of our expectations.
From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had stepped into a Michelin-star restaurant in the heart of Paris. The atmosphere is elegant & refined, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion.
As for the food, it was absolutely unbelievable. Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor, clearly crafted with care & precision.
I would highly recommend Dorsia to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Old Montreal. It's the perfect spot for celebrating something special or simply enjoying an exceptional night out.
That was a 5 stars experience to me & my friend. We had two drinks, both very good.
We both had steak tartare for starter (hands down the best tartare I've ever had) which was a pretty decent portion. Then we had two plates of pasta: I purposely picked the simplest one: paccheri with tomato sauce, parmesan cheese, pepper & basil, so you can really tell the quality of the ingredients. It was heavenly, the paccheri were cooked to perfection. My friend had a more elaborate pasta (can't remember now) & it was ridiculously good. We had dessert & the bill was 230$, plus I left 22% tip because the staff was amazing: very attentive & professional without being too stiff as you see in some places that confuse'high-end experience' with bloated stiffness & too much form. We felt pampered & looked after, just great. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also beautifully balanced: we got greeted by a really lovely girl who made us feel immediately at home, & took our coats. The interior design is classy & elegant (& I mean elegant, not douchy-bro-gold-chain'elegant'), soft lights & a pleasant crowd on the younger side. I'm taking my girlfriend next week, absolutely loved it. Definitely came for the name (I love the movie) but stayed for the quality of the food & staff. Thank you guys!

I went to Dorsia with the expectation of an elegant experience... & honestly, I left completely disappointed.
For starters, the place is beautiful, yes, but the service was slow & pretentious. It seemed that the waiters were more focused on showing off than on attending. They took a long time to bring even the water, & anything you asked for seemed to be annoying.
Food does not justify exaggerated prices at all. I ordered homemade pasta & arrived warm, tasteless, as if she had been left resting for too long. The duck dish - which is supposed to be one of its forts - was dry & unfunny. Honestly, I have eaten much better in many simpler restaurants.
The expensive cocktails for what they are, & the atmosphere is too noisy for a place that is supposed to'fine dining.'.
In summary:

Slow service & not attentive.
Unflavored dishes & warm served.
Prices totally disproportionate to quality.
Noisy & uncomfortable environment.
Lots of appearance, little substance.
Because of the price & fame, I was expecting something memorable... & the only memorable thing was disappointment.
One of the more elegant restaurants in Montreal serving mostly traditional French cuisine with a few delicious twists. The staff was very efficient, attentive, & genuinely warm.
The ambiance is exceptional & the noise level is moderate to subdued which makes for a pleasant dining experience.
They also have an extensive wine list & Laurent, the sommelier, was very helpful in pairing wine to food.

Chaque plat était un vrai chef-d'oeuvre : des saveurs équilibrées, une présentation impeccable & des produits d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Le service était attentif, chaleureux & professionnel, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus mémorable. Définitivement un des meilleurs restaurants de Montréal - je recommande sans hésiter !
Dorsia offers a warm & welcoming atmosphere, with the entire staff contributing to an excellent experience. The host was friendly & pleasant, & our waiter, Guillaume, was attentive & demonstrated impressive knowledge of the menu.
We began with beef tartare & tuna carpaccio as entrées, both fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. For mains, we ordered the lobster ravioli & lamb, each cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, & artfully plated. The strawberry tart for dessert was a standout, though the entire meal was consistently excellent.
The wine list is well curated, & while we did not try any cocktails, the options looked appealing.
The décor is elegant, with great attention to detail, & the music selection was spot on, even featuring two of my personal favorites. I look forward to returning annd to explore their basement bar in the future.
Verdict: A definite must-try.

Nous sommes venus sur les recommandations d'un ami afin de découvrir les desserts, & ce fut une véritable révélation : ils sont tout simplement succulents & nous ont véritablement transportés. Le cadre est magnifique, le service en salle d'une grande attention, & l'équipe en cuisine excelle par la qualité de son travail. Une adresse que je recommande vivement pour un repas raffiné & élégant.
I had an incredible evening at Dorsia, hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, & inviting. But what truly elevated the night was the outstanding service we received from Ben, our waiter.
Even though he was juggling a few large groups, Ben made us feel like we were his top priority. He was attentive without being intrusive, & his energy & kindness truly set the tone for a special evening. From start to finish, he took care of every detail with a genuine smile & made us feel so welcome.
The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared & bursting with flavor. You can tell the kitchen team takes real pride in what they do. What also stood out was how knowledgeable the entire staff was about the menu. They answered every question with confidence & gave recommendations that hit the mark perfectly.
Another highlight of the night was the sommelier, who knows his craft. He helped us choose the perfect wine to pair with our meal, not only matching the flavors beautifully but also enhancing the entire dining experience with his passion & insight.
Dorsia is a place that not only serves exceptional food but also creates a memorable experience through top-tier service, ambiance, & expertise. Can't wait to go back!
This was by far the best meal I have ever had. The food was unbelievably unique & favorful. The service was excellence at its finest. The atmosphere was welcoming & elegant. I will be returning to this place every time I'm back in Montreal!

Very elegant vibe. The service was stunning. Atmosphere was very elevated. Appetizers were great. But pasta was not al dente it was just undercooked. Fish was great. Great cocktail menu with fast service. Atmosphere was sexy would totally recommend a first date here ;)
This restaurant is a masterpiece in every sense. The food is nothing short of extraordinary, elegant, refined, & bursting with flavor, showcasing true culinary artistry. But what truly sets it apart is the stunning ambiance. Every detail of the decor is breathtaking, making it undeniably the most beautiful restaurant in the city. Un restaurant d'exception ! What a fabulous restaurant. The attention to details is remarkable. From the design which has a very Contemporary European feel to it, with high quality fabrics, material & design, to the Art Collection which has been curated as for an elegant home or an Art Gallery, to the choice of cutlery, china & glassware. All with a common trait of elegance, high quality & great design. Everything has been well thought out, including the music selection which was broadcasted throughout a great sound system. The food is creative, tasty & elegant without being fussy, is served with a team of professionals. I left the restaurant thinking, what a great time we had... a real treat & for those who appreciate high quality & attention to details, a feast for the soul.
The manager & his staff (receptionist, maitre d'hotel, waiters & chef) thanks to their warm welcome, professionalism & passion offered us a top-notch experience. The staff was always smiling & attentive to details. The chef & his brigade master their techniques & seasonings. The interior is elegant, sober & efficient where several tables are available with diffrent capacities (2,4,6... pax) spaced out reasonably. I recommend the Lamb Duo!

Dorsia is a new restaurant & yet it is already doing really well: superb food, superb service, prime ingredients, elite technique (perfected textures, judicious seasoning). Elegant restaurant & yet comfortable, which is what you are looking for. This was my first visit at this restaurant, & I think that if they keep their standards as high as what I have experienced on that dinner, then you have right there one of the best restaurants of Montreal. Great addition to the Montreal dining scene.
Très bel endroit, élégant & la décoration exceptionnelle & très confortable. On peut s'entendre parler même s'il y a de la musique. Le service tout à fait hors pair & accueillant. Bravo! Nos entrées étaient très bien, par contre les pâtes Pomodoro très moyen & l'assiette d'agneau correct. Le dessert excellent.

What a great experience we had at Dorsia. Stunning space, elegant & luxe. Service was very well executed, attentive to our needs. Finally the food was excellent, you simply want to order everything from fresh seafood, pasta to meats & fish. A1! Will definitely be sending clients there!
