This is now the second time I dine with waiter Malo at Marcella & he is fantastic. Great personality & wonderful detail to service.
I was sad when you removed the thinly breaded chicken Milanese from the menu but your new chicken dish is AMAZING!!!. Loved the quality of the chicken & the overall high quality ingredients used.
As dinning out has become expensive, please:
- keep the portion hearty & big as we don't want o spend $$$ & be hungry when we leave the restaurant
- love the music at the restaurant. Music is always key for great ambience.
- dim the lights for a good ambience at night.

Wow. What an incredible experience. Totally blown away by the service & the quality of the food. Michael was an exceptional bartender & a great conversationalist. I'll be recommending Marcella to all of my friends!

Was extremely busy. Tried to make a last minute reservation but only had bar seating. Great service, very good food, not too expensive. As busy as they were we certainly weren't rushed.
The gnocchi was amazing! The calamari was delicious, & the tiramisu was phenomenal. Loved everything about this place. Would 100% go back! The ambiance was amazing too!

October 2023, stopped in & sat at the bar en route to a dinner reservation later. Split a fried calamari with my girl with a bottle of wine. Great atmosphere, very friendly & efficient bartender & staff. Liked it so much we came back the next day for lunch! Spaghetti carbonara🥰 was the best I have ever had anywhere in the world… no exaggeration! Just a great little restaurant with fantastic food. Absolutely recommend !!
We both tried the carbonara, & the cocktail of the day. I also had an espresso martini that was very well made
The carbonara on the other hand was good, but not great admittedly. There was an unusual thickness to it, & a bitter after taste. I am quite knowledgable on a good carbonara, & this was not amongst the best I have had. It was serviceable.
The staff on the other hand were very polite & eager to serve. We wintessed a customer complaining about a reservation & being a complete brat, totally unacceptable behaviour from the customer. The staff were able to handle the rude person perfectly. I felt bad for the staff. People need to be nicer & not entitled brats.
We have gotten really lucky here in Montreal....& Marcella was the first stop to knock out socks off! Busy but still had a great vibe...food was amazing & our server must have the best version of ADHD because he juggled everyone without a slip or misstep! Perfect first night!
Cuisine italienne typique, savoureuse & tellement réconfortante. Le décor du restaurant est de toute beauté. J’ai adoré & je recommande 100%. Le staff …wow! Tous super gentils. Un gros coup de coeur pour notre serveur Malo.

Found it by chance strolling along old town. Immediately felt we made the right choice, greeted by friendly host, shown to window table in dining room. Excellent service, great food.
Must go there when in the neighbourhood.
